What other datasources require building setup tables

1)Hi I would like to find out if there are any other datasources in other application areas that require a build of setup tables and then
facilitate deltas ?
2)what are the standard data sources for PP, QM, WM most commonly used.

Hi,
  Only LO cockpit datasources require filling up of datasources. You can check transaction LBWE, it should give you a complete list.
For PP, most common datasources that I have come across are 2LIS_04_P_COMP and 2LIS_04_P_MATNR
For QM, 2LIS_05_QE1 and 2LIS_05_QE2, for WM which i think is the same as MM, its 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM.
Hope this helps,
Regards.

    Here is a relevant quote from the 'Lock Modes' section of the doc that Ed Stevens provided
    >
    Assume that a transaction uses a SELECT ... FOR UPDATE statement to select a single table row. The transaction acquires an exclusive row lock and a row share table lock. The row lock allows other sessions to modify any rows other than the locked row, while the table lock prevents sessions from altering the structure of the table. Thus, the database permits as many statements as possible to execute.
    >
    The above describes the locks when you, the user, tells Oracle to lock the row.

  • How to activate Purchase datasource without deleting setup table for others

    Hi Gurus,
    In developement system purchasing datasources 2LIS_02_HDR, 2LIS_02_ITM and 2LIS_02_SCN are active and deltas are also running for these.
    Now acccording to the requirement We need to activate other datasources as well like 2LIS_02_CGR and SGR .........
    To so this do we have to run the setup table again or any other option is there for this??
    As this step would take lots of time in Production and for this downtime would be required which is not feasible.
    Please suggest some solution.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Uday Shankar.

    Hi,
    We will do the setup (Filling and Deleting) concept based on application component it's not based on DS .S you don't have other way.

  • What are the required building blocks to place part of an application into the cloud?

    Hi there,
    I have a Windows client/server business management/accounting application written in VBA/Access.
    I am thinking of making small parts of the application available in the cloud, for example QUOTES.
    First of all, I am not sure if this forum is the right place to ask these questions!
    I would like users to be able to access their quotes via tabled or smart phone and be able to add or modify records.
    I am interested to find out what building blocks are required to achieve this.
    My initial thoughts are as follows:
    The user exports their quotes from the application (A) in XML format
    The user uploads the XML data into SQL server on my website (?)
    The user logs into a mobile app (B) that is connected to the SQL server
    The user adds/modifies records in app (B)
    The user then downloads their records in XML format from SQL server from my website (?)
    The XML data is read and updated in application (A)
    In terms of the SQL server I was also wondering if each user should have their own database or whether all users should use the same table QUOTES for example?
    Any hints or tips would be really appreciated and many thanks in advance...
    Have a wonderful day...
    Kind regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue, since this forum is to discuss the VS IDE issue.
    I have a Windows client/server business management/accounting application written in VBA/Access.
    Just to make this issue clearly, is it related to the Office development like this MSDN document?
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee814735(v=office.14).aspx
    If it is related to the Office development, I suggest you post this issue to the
    Office development forum like this thread “How
    to move an Access App with VBA to the Cloud w/o re-coding? Amazon Web Services Virtual Machine ? Or What ?”.
    If not, please feel free to let me know, I will help you find the correct forum for this issue.

  • How to initialize the setup table for GTMuFF08Global Trade ManagementuFF09?

    hi experts,
    I can find the datasource of GTM like 2LIS_46_SCL, 2LIS_46_ITM with rsa6.
    But when I use rsa3 to do test it, nothing found. I try to initialize the setup table, but I can not find it under SBIW.
    Please help me, many thanks.

    Hi
    These Data Sources are from LOGISTICS Try at Tcode.LBWE --Logistics **** Pit.
    Here is LO Cockpit Step By Step
    LO EXTRACTION
    - Go to Transaction LBWE (LO Customizing Cockpit)
    1). Select Logistics Application
           SD Sales BW
                Extract Structures
    2). Select the desired Extract Structure and deactivate it first.
    3). Give the Transport Request number and continue
    4). Click on `Maintenance' to maintain such Extract Structure
           Select the fields of your choice and continue
                 Maintain DataSource if needed
    5). Activate the extract structure
    6). Give the Transport Request number and continue
    - Next step is to Delete the setup tables
    7). Go to T-Code SBIW
    8). Select Business Information Warehouse
    i. Setting for Application-Specific Datasources
    ii. Logistics
    iii. Managing Extract Structures
    iv. Initialization
    v. Delete the content of Setup tables (T-Code LBWG)
    vi. Select the application (01 u2013 Sales & Distribution) and Execute
    - Now, Fill the Setup tables

    iv. Initialization
    v. Filling the Setup tables
    vi. Application-Specific Setup of statistical data
    vii. SD Sales Orders u2013 Perform Setup (T-Code OLI7BW)
            Specify a Run Name and time and Date (put future date)
                 Execute
    - Check the data in Setup tables at RSA3
    - Replicate the DataSource
    Use of setup tables:
    You should fill the setup table in the R/3 system and extract the data to BW - the setup tables is in SBIW - after that you can do delta extractions by initialize the extractor.
    Full loads are always taken from the setup tables

  • What do exactly mean by 'document is lost' while filling setup table

    Hi ,
    In various threads its mentioned that, while extraction of logistics data .. say sales billing document, the document is 'lost', if its posted/changed while filling setup table . Hence we need to have system downtime while filling setup table.  So my questions are as follows :
    1)What exactly do u mean by 'Document is Lost'?  (I mean the document entries,will always be there in application tables ).
    2)Suppose we have DSO in "Over Write" mode at first level (after datasource). Will we need system downtime for filling setup table?  (I read n some forum that overwrite mode DSO at first level eliminates the need for system downtime)
    Please let me know your opinion on above questions
    Regards
    Mohit
    Edited by: Mohit Gupte on Jan 23, 2010 9:12 AM

    Hi Mohit,
    1) If document created/changed during filling of setup tables, it will not be available in corresponding extract queue and therefore not be available for delta update. Right?
      Sorry ,the answer is 'No' , because if you make any changes at the time of filling the set-up table, then those changes will be captured either in the set-up table or in the extraction queue and hence you will not miss any documents.Condition is ,you have to use 'Queued delta' .If you use 'Direct delta' then you miss the documents becasue of 'no' extraction queue .
    All documents are permanently stored in your application tables(VBRK,VBRP etc) always , but at the time of filling the set-up tables these documents will be collected from the application tables and will be moved to set-up table and then the changes will be stored in the extraction queue. At the time of set-up table running,new/changed documents will be stored either in the set-up table or in the extraction queue .So if you follow the correct loading method,you will not miss any documents.
    2)However these documents (changed/created during setup run) will be stored in application tables (VBRP & VBRK, in case of sales billing). Hence we can always retrieve consolidated list of such documents , by querying 'CREATED ON'/'CHANGED ON' fields of base tables. Then we can upload these consolidated records, via Full Repair Requests , to BI data targets. So documents are not permanently lost.
    Yes. Antyime later you can retrieve the records even if you missed at the time of loading.
    Hope it clears your doubts.
    Thanks.

  • What level suplemental logging requires to setup Streams at Schema level

    Hi,
    Working on setting-up streams from 10g to 11g db @ schema level. And the session is hanging with statement "ALTER DATABASE ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA" while running following command - generated using DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.MAINTAIN_SCHEMAS.
    Begin
    dbms_streams_adm.add_schema_rules(
    schema_name => '"DPX1"',
    streams_type => 'CAPTURE',
    streams_name => '"CAPTURE_DPX1"',
    queue_name => '"STRMADMIN"."CAPTURE_QUEUE"',
    include_dml => TRUE,
    include_ddl => TRUE,
    include_tagged_lcr => TRUE,
    source_database => 'DPX1DB',
    inclusion_rule => TRUE,
    and_condition => get_compatible);
    END;
    The generated script also setting each table with table-level logging "'ALTER TABLE "DPX1"."DEPT" ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA (PRIMARY KEY, FOREIGN KEY, UNIQUE INDEX) COLUMNS'".
    So my question is: Is Database level supplemental logging required to setup schema-level replication? If answer is no then why the following script is invoking "ALTER DATABASE ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA" command.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sridhar

    Hi sri dhar,
    From what I found, the "ALTER DATABASE ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA" is required for the first capture you create in a database. Once it has been run, you'll see V$DATABASE with the column SUPPLEMENTAL_LOG_DATA_MIN set to YES. It requires a strong level of locking - for example, you cannot run this alter database while an index rebuild is running (maybe an rebuild online?)
    I know it is called implicitly by DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.add_table_rules for the first rule created.
    So, you can just run the statement once in a maintenance window and you'll be all set.

  • What are logistics and setup tables?

    Hi,
    What are logistics and setup tables?? How are these two related?
    Regards,
    Sneh

    Hi,
    Logistics is the management of the flow of goods, information and other resources, including energy and people, between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet the requirements of consumers (frequently, and originally, military organizations). Logistics involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material-handling, and packaging, and occasionally security. Logistics is a channel of the supply chain which adds the value of time and place utility.
    setup tables- are used to full the data for logistic applications.setup table are used for initialization and full loads.As there will be large number of data for logistic application first it will be fetched into setup tables then from there it will be used for initialization and full loads.

    Ravi

  • Is setup tables are specific to one datasource?

    is setup tables are specific to one datasource?we have in sd header, item, if we run statical setup header data stored in header tabe,item data stored in item table,or ALL data stored in one table only?

    Setup table are specific to application groups and not datasources.
    If you fill setup tables then you filled it for all datasources under that application group.
    To check what all datasources comes under which application group.You can check LBWE.
    Hope this helps.

  • What are setup tables and why do you need to run it

    Hello Gurus,
    I know the steps for setting up the LO cockpit exactors.
    My question is what are the parameters that you feed into the Setup table filling screen --- like the doc numbers, start date and end date.
    Why do we have to run the setup tables?
    If I give the start date for setup table run for SD as 08/24/06 and end time Nill and others parameters blank, then would the set up job run for ever. Is this how you set it up in production environment.
    Does setup mean, bringing the data from application table to extraction structructure?
