What other Firefox derivative versions are there?

In light of the recent important security upgrade, I was wondering what other Firefox-based browsers (forks or otherwise) may be affected and what their status is. Is there an online resource listing them?
Several are listed on this WIkipedia page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Web_browsers_based_on_Firefox
* Timberwolf (abandoned)
* TorBrowser (unknown)
* Palemoon (active)
* Switfox (abandoned?)
* TenFourFox (active, fixed version available)
* Timberwolf (abandoned)
* Waterfox
* Iceweasel (active, fixed in Debian stable)
* Icecat (active: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnuzilla/2014-09/msg00008.html)
If any others exist I'd like to know about them.

This looks like a Firefox version based on Firefox 31 ESR (Iceweasel/31.1.0), so check if there is a 31.1.1 version available.
Firefox 31.1.1 ESR:

    The various Lynda.com video tutorials are very good, but you have to pay for a description.  The Photoshop User TV podcasts are excellent; there are hundreds of them, and they are free.  They are also what the iPad was invented for.
    The 'You suck at Photoshop' videos on YouTube are both very funny and very instructive.
    The Scott Kelby books are very good for folk starting out.  The Martin Evening, and the Martin Evening/Jeff Schewe books are as good as they get from a photography point of view.  The Steve Caplin books are the best Photoshop books once you get into it, but Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski do some great medium to advanced books.  Matt's Compositing Secrets is excellent, and was Amazon's best Photoshop book for a while.

    I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
    As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
    I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
    As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

  • What free inventive fax contrivances are there to receive a fax on an iMac?

    Receiving faxes online free.
    Regarding the free contrivances, what free inventive fax contrivances are there to receive a fax online?... for viewing the fax on an iMac.
    Offices that still use fax.
    Medical centers, government offices and from time to time corporate offices' staff want to send information by fax!

    A USB modem is one which has a USB connection at one end and a telephone line connection at the other, the USB one (obviously) being plugged into your computer. Most modems are this type: the one you mentioned unusually also has an ethernet connection (as you use for your network). (A modem, in this context, is a device which turns the digital output from your computer into a succession of bleeping noises which can be sent down a telephone line - and vice versa. It stands for MOdulate-DEModulate and was the standard way of connecting to the Internet during the Dark Ages. Fax machines use a similar method and most modems can pretend to be a fax machine.)
    A driver is a piece of software enabling your computer to recognize and talk to a piece of external equipment, such as a printer or a modem. Most devices connecting to USB need such a driver (there are exceptions but modems are not among them). The manufacturer of the modem you linked to provides drivers for Windows but not for Macs, so the USB connection won't work. The ethernet connection might: you would have to ask them.
    The Apple USB modem connects easily because the driver is built into the System, but it's no longer made and you may have some difficulty finding one. if you can it's the best bet.

  • Hi everyone, I have just purchased a new iMac 27. Is this device able to support a multiple monitor set-up (additional two screens)? If so what do I need and are there any draw backs?

    Hi everyone,
    I have just purchased a new iMac 27. Is this device able to support multiple monitor set-up (an additional two screens)? I am not a gamer, so require the set-up for 'office suite' type work and video viewing. if the set-up is possible, what would I need, is it pretty straight forward and are there any draw backs?
    Thank you.

    I just purchased the same imac. I connected the other displays using a thunderbolt to dvi adapter and it works fine.

  • What other SAP DLL's are needed to use SDK DI?

    Hello,
    Would anyone know which SAP DLL's are needed in order to have a DI SDK application working (in VB.net) uner Windows XP SP3?
    Basically, the DLL's in the DIAPI folder are all registered but I get the following error when I run my application:-
    "Error retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {632F4591-AA62-4219-8FB6-22BCF5F69469} failed due to the following error: 80040154."
    Are there SAP dll's that need to be present on the Windows XP pc for sapbobscom.dll to work?
    Thanks in advance
    Ed

    Hello Jane,
    To answer your question the issue is happening on WIndows XP 32 bit, thus it is not related to the fact I may be running a 32 bit code on 64 bit architectures.
    If you see my other post, the issue goes away if I install the SAP Client, which leads me to conclude that the SDK DI cannot work by itself, without the other DLL's present in SAP.
    I am now looking for confirmation from the SAP Developers that it is true that the SAP Client needs to be installed before the SDK DI works.
    Thanks for your precious feedback.
    Ed

  • What K7D (-L) Master motherboard versions are there?

    For the K7D (-L) Master, dual Athlon cpu series, what are the actual motherboard revisions or versions, that were made, and what is the very latest?
    I'm not talking about the bios, but the physical motherboard. People always seem to mix those two up.
    I've seen MS-6501-010 (?), -020 (w/o LAN), -030 (w/LAN), and even a -040 (?) as the product numbers.  What is a -010 and a -040?
    Is the AMD 762 chip on the K7D a rev. B2? I believe this is the chip that supports USB and the rev B2 is the one that fixed the USB problems?
    I'm considering purchasing one, and want the very latest revison or version still available. I want the least amount of bugs.
    Thx.

    No one here works for MSI.
    Indeed it is confusing and I'm not about to try to weed through the MSI website, the best I can do is to point you to the product matrix http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/server/svr/pro_svr_matrix.php

    Following the instructions for reporting an issue with a purchase problem, when selecting "report a probelm", I am not provided with a drop down list, I am redirected to the help page instead.
    Is there any other way to report an issue where the app owner has taken the funds twice for the same product at literally the same time?

  • What a horrible camera. Are there any tweaks?

    I'm not a big fan of phone cameras, as I'm a former semi-pro photographer, but I am having real problems with the Passport camera. Here is a summary of my issues, and I would appreciate if anyone is not having problems what their settings are, or if anyone is aware of hacks to imrpove it.
    My settings are: HDR Off, 1:1 ratio; Flash Off (unless I need it), Auto Scene.
    Detailed settings, which I've played with a lot and have not noted any significant improvement, are:
    Face Detection ON, Auto Suggest OFF, Save On Media Card, Display Grid Lines (I am really impressed that this is there); Dave Original for HDR pictures; Video Stabilization ON, Continuous Vide Focus, Geotag Pictures ON.
    1) Camera is very slow to focus and take pictures. This is most notable in low light. It often takes 2 seconds from snap to shot. Almost impossible to take shots of young grandkids!
    2) Many shots in normal light are slight soft, as if they were out of focus. Only shots truly sharp are those in bright light and no moving objects.
    3) Flash is horendous. It first comes on very bright, blinds subjects, then flashes when shot is taken, then comes on again (presumably to focus for next shot). Subjects generally have eyes closed because of the bright light.
    4) Fake camera sound is on all the time. It's fake since there is no real shutter, there should be a way to turn it off.
    5) No exposure control
    6) No meaningful scenes. I suppose that Auto Scene takes some time to decide which scene setting to use, but the manual choices don't include the normal ones that a Kodak Brownie came with - Sunlight; Overcast; and Evening.
    My experience having taken a few hundred shots (I don't really take videos) is that I only have a couple of dozen that I would consider good, and another couple of dozen that are OK.
    I've done head to head comparisons with iPhone 4S, iPhone 6, HTC ONE, and Torch 9810. IMO all are better than Passport (although not from a specs perspective), with the 5 year old Torch being the least better, and the iPhone 6 being the best.
    Paul
    Torch 9810; PlayBook 64g; iPad1 64g; iPad2 64g; iPhone6 64g Passport
    Provider Bell (tablets all WiFi)

    Use 16:9 ratio, auto flash, auto scene. Unless in low lighted areas like inside, then switch to night mode.
    In settings I use 1080p at 60fps on video. And all other options are on except gridlines and save original.
    My opinions,
    To speed focus up, tap the screen on the object you want to be focused on to. If you long press on the object it locks the focus.
    Also try using the time shift capture. You can always come back and pick the best shot at a later date.
    Also try going into the editing options for photos. The auto edit option does wonders sometimes.
    Other then that, there is one phone I know personally that blows even the IPhone out of the water when taking photos. LG G3 with laser focus. It's the fastest camera I've ran across yet. It's so fast at opening up and focusing you'd almost never loose a moment in time. My wife owns one and I tease her that I have a better phone being the Passport, but she has a killer camera that blows me out of the water.
