Installing Windows 7 Professional 64 bit drivers för Canon MF8330 Cdn printer/fax/scanner

Hi!
After Windows update in april 2014 I cant any longer use the scanning funktion via network from Canon MF8330 Cdn multifunktion printer/fax/scanner machine! It worked fine Before the april Windows update installation.
I have reinstalled with Canons driver kit 2005b för Windows 7 64 bit. All works fine until the scanner installation ends, then system report that it cannot install the scanner and I have to try installing again. I have done that now several times but it
helps not. I Think it has something to do with that the Canon scanner drivers isn´t 64 bit files, or the problem is that windows update has replaces saome dll file to a never version that not work with Canon drivers.
I have seen that there is a service pack 1 from Canon för Windows 8 and 8,1, can I use that service pack to get a never dll file for scanner or work this only for windows 8 version.
Have someone a solution to this! I have contacted the Canon support already and they say that its a Microsoft problem!

Hi!
I am installing the drivers from Canons site. It is the newest version 2005b for Windows 7 64 bit to MF8330Cdn Canon multifunction printer/fax/scanner. Installation goes well for the printer and fax but not for scanner drivers. The error message is Could
not install the scanner. In device manager is there then a unknown device under Image devices. In Device Manager I try to update drivers, but it does not help either, error message is access denied. I am logged on the system with administrator account, therfore
it is strange that I get the error message access denied.
I tried earlier to do system restore back to previous time, but it did not work, error was that the system could not do the system restore because of access rights.
is there anything else I could do.
Here is the MF36SCN.inf file for scanner installation from Canon, if it can help You to go further with the problem. Is there something strange in the inf file that does not work in Windows 7 64 bit Windows, something shows that ther is also same 32 bits
parts in the inf file.

My printer, fax, scanner is MF4380dn

I am using a MacPro OS Lion and my printer, fax, scanner is MF4380dn, I can use the printer but it does not recognise the scanner. How do I resolve this?

I'm using a Brother MFC 420CN (printer, fax, scanner) and can't get the scanner to work

I'm running Lion 10.7.2 and downloaded the latest twain plug-in for lion from Brother. I don't know where the twain driver went after I downloaded it. I searched the computer for it and it doesn't show up. I wanted to drag it into the import folder photoshop plug-ins folder in Photoshop CS5. There is no Twain plug-in the folder now. when I try to scan from the Brother Control Center I get error messages and do what the messages suggest but nothing works.I don't use the fax, I occasionally use the printer and the printer still works. There is only 1 USB cable that drives the Brother machine.

This is not an iPhoto issue. It's a system issue. From what I've read in the Mavericks forum either check the HP website for the latest driver for your model or try using Image Capture, Preview or the commercial VueScan.

I have the same problem with an HP Scanjet 8250 and my Epson Stylus NX400. I have reloaded allegedly updated drivers. I have researched using SANE. Neither scanner wants to work since the OS X10.6 update. I have found very little out there about this problem.

SAP faxing from all-in-one (printer/copier/scanner/fax) device

We have a all-in-one printer/copier/scanner/fax (Ricoh Aficio 3025) and would like to make use of it to send fax from SAP.
I know how to set it up as a printer. But how should I go about setting it up to send fax?

You can't just set it up as a fax... you need a fax server in order to send faxes (I.E. Rightfax)... basically the way it works is that you create a node in SCOT for faxes and send the data to the fax server via SMTP and the fax server deliver the fax to your hardware.

I am attempting to connect my Canon Pixma MG5220 printer/copier/scanner to my MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8. After loading software from Canon and attempting to print, I get the following message: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. What can I do to fix this?

I just purchased and installed a Canon Pixma MG5220 printer/copier/scanner to my PC desktop with Windows XP. It works fine. It has been successfully installed on my network and I am able to use it with my laptop running VISTA. However, I am trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8 and I am not having much luck. I can see it as one of the printer choices when attempting to print; however, I get the following message:

Let me understand:
- you have purchased named canon, which is conencted to your PC running windows xp
- downloaded driver for win xp, and canon works fine
- canon is connected to that PC via USB
- that Canon is also activated as network printer, by allowing print sharing in windows; how did you set that option?
- now, you are in Mac OS x 10.6.8, downloaded Canon driver for Mac OS X, installed it, detected printer on the network, printer was installed; was it detected as attached to that PC running win XP? or not?
or you set canon by being connected to your mac directly via USB?
Now, there are some questions you should answer as some details are missing, and your initial text is not clear. Can you print if Canon is connected directly to your mac? did you try that? if not, do it before answering.

my officejet 4500g510n-z suddenly wont print incoming faxes, or from copy or scan. It prints perfectly from computer. it also wont print fax reports or test pages. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing with software disc, still no go.what do i need to do please?

Let's set a static IP address for the printer:
- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. Let's us 192.168.1.100 for your printer.
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway and first DNS. Leave the second one blank.
- Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

What printer is best for me

I have always had a canon printer. I loved my first three but I have been very disappointed in the last one I bought, a pixma MG6120. I'm not crazy about having the extra gray ink cartridge and the ink in the rest of my cartridges just evaporate over night it seems. I rarely print as much as I use to with all my children gone, except for the occassional email or coupons. Primarily I print invitations and envelopes and graphic designs to use around the house or to give to people. I'm always disappointed in how the design looks on my monitor and how it prints, especially reds and greens. I also print on transparency paper and waterproof permanet vinyl. I do like to print the occassional pictures but lately I've been getting such good prints from Costco it's not worth the ink to print them in my home. I also scan alot, but I guess I could just keep the printer I have to do that, if there is just a regular printer that would work for me. So my wants are a good printer that will print exceptional invitations on cardstock with brilliant colors and then the occassional photograph and the ink not evaporate over night. The Pixma MG6120, what you have is a very good capable printer. I would just see if I could get it to do what you want before you buy a different one. You must decide if this printer has some features you don't want ot need. For instance this printer is optimised to print high quality B&W. Something most printers can not do. Hence the extra cartridge. If this is not of importance to, you may want to look at a printer that doesn't have this feature. Otherwise, ....................It is essential you get some settings on your monitor that somewhat matches what the printer is printing. Your printer may be doing exactly what you are telling it to do and you have no idea it is, because your monitor is so far off. If you don't do this step, you can forget it. However, there are only a few things that you need to be concerned with. You don't need any fancy extra add-ins to do this. No additional software or gadgets, no spiders or monkeys, etc. But you must get the gray-scale very close. You need to get the brightness very close and you need the contrast very close. Most folks set there brightness way too high by default.This presents a big problem when judging prints. You need to judge your prints in good light, preferably daylight. Again they may be correct and you don't know it. After you do these things you can make adjustments to your prints by just looking at your screen. Because you know the monitor and printer are on the same level. One more point, you can NOT get a printer to print every color exactly the way you saw it. It isn't possible as all colors and adjustments effect all others. My goal is to get the skin tones right. That is what people notice most. Remember you are dealing with two different disciplines here.One is colored light and the other is colored dyes. They are not the same thing. In the end no printer is the best at everything. It is just too cpmplex.

Most any All In One printer/fax/copy will work with a Mac running OS X.
The best thing you can do is pick one out based on cost and features then check whether there are drivers for it or if it is AirPrint compatible.
