What provisions does the iPhone make to save battery, when the level drops?
When I get the warning about my battery dropping under 20%, does the iPhone actually make smart provisions to keep it going for as long as possible?
For example by reducing screen brightness, stopping push email, email checks, killing background activity and scaling other services.
If it does not already do this by default, and option for this to happen would be a welcome edition to eek out as much "emergency use" as possible.
No, it just warns you. It's then up to you to take steps you deem appropriate to conserve your power, or connect to a power source.

No. It is only on imessage which has to be an apple product. ipod, iphone, ipad, or mac. Will not work on other phones.

It seems like everybody has a better battery life than me because I can barely make it throughout a day on a single charge and I hear that some people can last 2-4 days on a single charge. How long does your iPhone last on a single charge? Do you have any tips for me? Thanks!!!
An impossible question. What do you have enabled, what have you disabled, what use do you make for calls, data?

Why does my iPhone 4 keep turning of when the personal hotspot is turned on
My iPhone 4 keeps turning itself off when I connect my laptop into it with the personal hotspot. I have a Sony Vaio and it only turns off when it's plugged into that. My iPhone is iOS 5.0.1. Please help
if you have phone support they can help you. since you are going into the retail store they can help you out to. it sounds like a software issue which shouldn't be too hard for them to fix. if they cant tho they will probably replace it.

When I open iTunes it is slow to open for one, and two when it does see my iPhone and i go to sync it this is what I get in return... The iPhone "My Name here" could not be synced because the iPhone could not be found on the network. that is a pop up box in middle of screen that says that it does it like every time I go to sync the phone after i do app updates. I am getting very frustrated by this can someone please help. I have made 2 other discussion topics about this and no replies on them. Please if anyone can help I ask for help. This has occurred ever since the iOS 5.1 update and the iTunes 10.6.0 and still continues with the iTunes 10.6.1 update just yesterday and perhaps even worse now. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. I have looked through my network settings etc and everything looks good here on my side.

My iPhone 4s was stolen this weekend and I did the Remote Lock. What exactly does that do? Also, if i do the Remote Wipe will that erase all of my data and impede anyone from ever using the phone?
The remote lock locks the iphone with a passcode that you set. By remote wiping the device it will simply restore it and clear it of all its data, but by doing this it will prevent you tracking it and communicating with it (e.g. remote locking it) in the future

I get the following error message day in and day out, what does it mean -- what can I do to make it go away? "The server responded: “403” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation."
Now it keeps saying that it is restored but there is still no music or video on it. And a new error is coming up that says "We could not complete your iTunes store request.The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

Does the iPhone 4S support HDMI- OUT via the digital AV adapter?
Does the 4S support HDMI ->OUT via the digital AV adapter or not? I read that it does (whether it be mirroring, YouTube video playback, movie playback, etc.) but I'm not having any luck. I recently tried my AV adapter (that I normally use with my iPad 2) but I get nothing. When I power cycle the phone after connecting the adapter, I get a error stating that the "accessory is not supported by iPhone". When I go to play a YouTube video, it shows up on the phone's screen for a second and then disappears. The LCD TV I am connected to never prompts me for the detection of a new HDMI device being connected" either, do I have no clue what's going on.
Any ideas? Thought?
Any help to solving this riddle once and for all would be appreciated.

I have the iPhone 4s, running 5.0.1 (9A405)
I have also experimented with sequence, and I see no particular order needed to make it work. Generally I get it all plugged in and then swipe the iPhone and in a few moments, the screen appears in mirroring mode. Then if I go to Videos I can play my clips with sound, or I can do Keynote presentations, etc.
So sorry to hear you're having trouble. I imagine you've already double-checked that you're seating it solidly in the dock connector and have a good, working HDMI cable. I am not sure what you mean in your original post about "powering up" the phone. It might also be some Verizon issue, though I don't know what that might be. Is your AV adaptor the Apple branded one? -
hi can somebody help me... itunes does not accept the iphone 4s but i already have the version 64 bit to work with windows 7 64 bit, the computer recognizes the phone but itunes sais i need 64 bit itunes. please is there something im missing... thanks
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -
I had bought the iphone 5 four months ago. The problem is that it gets heated too much. I noticed it recently. What should I do? Should I take it to apple store to replace? Will they replace my iphone 5?

Sounds like a 'stuck' Shift key. You could try to take the key off and put it back on yourself (should be some info on that from ifixit) or just take it to your local Apple Store and have them fix it.
