What Quicksilver processor card is this please?

I recently inherited a QuickSilver G4 (logic board marked 820-1342-B)- which is fitted with an aftermarket Dual Processor upgrade Card
The processor card is marked:
962-745x-2133 REV.1
The machine works perfectly in OS S Leopard at 1.2 GHz with 1.5 GB RAM
Question 1
What card is that?
All references seem to point to Sonnet - but they say it is not one of theirs...
Question 2
How can I get it to run natively in OS9?
Any attempt to get it to start in OS9 or even in classic mode fails

How much? 1MB? 2MB?

It could also be a PowerLogix processor:

If the card has a L3 cache, it would be a 7455 processor, which should boot to OS 9.
In the case of the Powerlogix processor, a 7457, a firmware patch is needed to boot to OS 9:

You can get the software from OWC, and burn to disc to patch the firmware.
Assuming the patch is already applied, you have to remove the Apple CPU Plugins extension from OS 9.
If you reset the PRAM, the ability to boot to OS 9 will be lost until running the patch again.

What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting this issue? Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?

A 404 error on the web is reported when you try to visit a site or page that is not there. It could be the content was deleted, moved or the page renamed. Make sure you are entering the URL of the page correctly.
Normally this is a problem at the server end of the web and not a problem on the iPad so long as the URL address you are entering, or tapping on, is correct.

In-car adapter for macbook air - what's the latest on this please?

I've got the latest macbook air and need to use it, and charge it, from a 12 volt car socket. I understand that I cannot do this though - surely I must have been misinformed?
It seems that apple do make an "empower" socket rated at 15 volts that you can use on a plane, but it doesn't recharge the battery. However, clearly this limits the usefulness of sorting out some kind of rig-up, suggested in some chat rooms, with a dc-dc (ie 15v - 12v) adapter.
Does anyone know where a dc in-car adapter for a macbook air is available?

I see the comments about using an AC Inverter, but I prefer to speak about solutions that will work with solar chargers too. An AC inverter will not only NOT work from a solar panel without extra & heavy equipment, but it wastes more than 20-40% of your power... first it converts your battery power to dirty household AC, then your Apple adaptor converts it back to DC for your Mac.
I suggest using a DC adaptor and bypass the middleman.

I don't think that debit cards are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. If you don't have a credit card then are iTunes gift cards available in your country ? They are not available in all countries and they are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), so you won't be able to use those from another country.

HP actually loaned me a very similar laptop last year...an Envy 17-j029nr that had the 750M graphics and while the video was way above average, it was not a true gaming laptop. HP is not going to accept it back in trade after you have used it but it can be sold still for a decent sum and you can use the proceeds to buy a gaiming laptop. You might consider the HP Omen. It has nVidia 860 graphics with up to 4 gigs of DDR5 I believe for maybe $2200 all in. Right now I have the lower model Omen on loan from HP but mine is the version with the DDR3 video memory. It is much stronger than the 750M video in my old loaner. Oh, and there is no way to upgrade what you have. The 750M was the best video offered in that model line. It is soldered to the motherboard so there is no "card" to remove and replace. if this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

Hopefully this will help you. Try placing your iPad in recovery mode again. You may have to try this a few times.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

Then there's nothing you can do. Only the previous owner can help you. They must either provide the ID and password, or erase the phone and remove it from their account as explained in the article you were reading. There's no way around this.

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.
