What release PPP 4.0

I 'm running solaris 8 sunos version 5 and I 'm desparately seeking to install PPP 4.0 so that I can use PPPOE . Can someone tell me in which update release I can get this.
I have just received 8 7/03 but I can't see the package on the CD.
Also being new to solaris administartion having got a Sunblade 100 I'm not clear about how
sun number their releases .. it seems confusing.
One other thing : where can I get a list of what is included in each update release specifically regarding PPP 4.0 ... this would answer my first question

If you download an installation disk image (ISO/IMG) of a click-to-run Office 2013 product from office.microsoft.com/myaccount (Account Options:
Install from a disc > I want to burn a disc), what release level of code do you get?
Now that Service Pack 1 is available, do you get a disk image with Service Pack 1 incorporated?
Or do you still get the RTM (Release to Manufacturing) level of code?

I was hoping that someone who has downloaded a disk image since SP1 became available would be able to confirm that for a fact.
I have just found a good description of Click-to-Run on Technet that I didn't know existed. The link is: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219427(v=office.15)
The article states:
"Click-to-Run products that you download and install from Microsoft are up-to-date from the start. You won’t have to download and apply any updates or service packs immediately after you install the Office product."
This statement is probably true if you click the Install button on office.microsoft.com/myaccount and install "in real-time" over the Internet. However, I know for a fact that it is not true if you order a backup disk (Account
Options: Install from a disc > I want to purchase a disc). All you get is RTM level code (15.0.4420.1017).
So I still feel uneasy about what release level you get if you download a disk image. I don't want to download what might be the better part of 1GB of code over the Internet only to discover it is back level.
Addendum (6 April 2014): I decided to perform an experiment. I looked at the size of the data on my backup disk which contains RTM level code. It is 2.04GB. I then went to office.microsoft.com/myaccount and clicked to download a disk
image of my Office 2013 product. The pop-up window that asks me whether I want to Run or Save the file informed me that the size of the file is 2.04GB!!! I cancelled the download. I strongly suspect that, if I had continued with the
download, I would have received the same RTM level code I already have dating back to October 2012. I think this is awful customer service. To some extent, I can understand the logistical problems of replacing backup disks lying in warehouses
waiting to be shipped. But I cannot understand why disk images on download servers cannot be refreshed quickly.

Report to find the PO held up at what release code

Users need a report to find that there Po is awaiting release at which release code.
I searched but could not find any report from where the user can see at which release code there Po is struck up.
Pl help on this.

I dont think there is any report like that to get all unreleased PO's and what release codes are awiting to release. However as a workaround you can use the Table EKKO with slection option of Release Indicator as 1 "PO not yet approved and pull out the Release code associated with it.
May be you can create a query with only the reauired information and use it for your users..

How do I determine what release of Leopard OSX I have on our new iMac? Normally such info would be under the "Help" and "About" tabs at the top of the screen. I can't find this info ANYWHERE. What's the secret? Thanks.

have you tried clicking on the "about this mac" under the Apple (top menu bar)? The version should be right under Mac OSX in the resulting window.
If it's not, click on "more info" in that same window. This opens up System Profiler. Scroll down and click on Software; it should then tell you the system version.

What release of openslp supports isDABackup

Hi everyone.
Im working on a migration from NW6.5SP8 (+PostSP8, incl FTF slp). to OES 11 SP1/SLES 11 SP1.
Im working with the ISOs downloaded from download.novell.com. I'm trying to get openslp to do the Backup through the settings net.slp.isDABackup = true, net.slp.DABackupInterval = 900, net.slp.DASyncReg = true. I do not see the /etc/slp.reg..d/slpd/DABackup folder getting created.
These are my openslp rpms, as they come out-of-box
vslccs02-idm:/etc # rpm -qa | grep openslp
openslp-1.2.0-172.11.16
openslp-server-1.2.0-172.11.16

This is my /etc/slp.reg.d/ folder .

What's the minimum rpm release of openSLP enabling the "isDABackup = true" to work? Does The dabackup folder need to be created before? Who needs rights to it and what are they? if it's the case.
I know there a couple of new releases for openSLP posted on the web. Ive seen presentations stating about this folder and the backup procedure. They talk about OES 2 SP3. Was OES 11 released before OES2 SP3 was ready and committed? Therefore it's understandable the rpms are up-to-date on OES2 SP3 and need to be applied to OES11.

OES11 is an add-on for SLES11 SP1 which includes the openslp RPMs you
referenced above. It was released after OES2 SP3.

According to Oracle the latest release is 10.2.0.4
What version to order from Oracle?
Does it make sense to jump to 10.2.0.4 in production?
Is there a cumulative patch to upgrade 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4?

10.2.0.4 is there in metalink for beta and pre-release customers. Its not out there for ordering. 10.2.0.3 just came out a week ago.
10.2.0.2 can be applied as a patch but I didn't have much luck with it that way.
From the readme in 10.2.0.3
Installing 10g Grid Control Release 3 requires any previous releases of Grid Control, that is any 10.2.x.x.x installation, and upgrade to 10.2.0.3.0 release. If you do not have a previous release, but want to have a 10.2.0.3.0 Grid Control environment, then first install 10.2.0.1.0 Grid Control (10.2.0.2.0 for Windows), and then upgrade it to 10.2.0.3.0.
So yes the 10.2.0.3 is a cum patch to 10.2.0.1.

Spend Analytics is the former name of the product SAP Spend Performance Management (SPM).
The current release of SPM is 2.1 (2.0 is now in maintenance mode). The next release will be accepting rampup nominations sometime around middle of 2011.

Function Module to fetch Release Code for PReqs

Hi,
Is there any function module to get the current release code applicale by passing the requisition number?
Example : If we have 4 levels of approval, say A1,A2,A3 and A4, and I want to know with what release code shall I release the requisition.
If release has benn effected for the requisition with codes A1 and A2 and if I query with the function module what is the current release code applicable, then it should give A3 or atleast a result that A2 has been the last release code effected.
Also where is the release related info stored ? I mean which tables...

Releasing transport request taking long time

I am releasing transport request in SE09, for releasing child request it was taking long time and for parent request taking much more long time.
In SM50, i didn't find any processes running.
Can anyone tell me the solution.

You didn't note what release your are running on, but you can check the note 1541334 - Database connect takes two minutes

It is normal, because the system exports the transport request by "tp" command at the OS level, after TMS complete its job on a DIALOG wp.

from T16FS you can only get which strategy are present.
Which strategy you have can already be seen in the PO or requisition.
But you are looking for the person. this is not really easy, as this can be more than one person.
A strategy has the information what release code is needed.
And this release code is in a role which is then assigned to an approver.
So the only way would be to execute SUIM and then roles by authorization values.
there you enter the authorization object M_EINK_FRG (hit enter) then you have to enter the release group and release code.
Execute. SAP will list all roles that grand the authority to release order with this combination.
in this list you can click another button to see the users that are assigned to this role.

Change price in released PO

Changes can be done in released Po it's all depends on what release indicator u have maintained In Release strategy.
1     Cannot be changed
4     Changeable, new release in case of new strat. or val. change
6     Changeable, new rel. if new strat. or value change/outputted
i.e if relese indicator is 1 u can not change release Po until Po is dereleased
but if u maintain same as 4 or 6 new release strategy will be triggerd based on changes u have made in PO value

What's the difference between Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2....

Yesterday I updated to Ovi Suite 2.2.1.22 from 2.2.0.245 - Update crashes as usual with OVI suite (Error Message: Could not delete Service).
I had to uninstall all Nokia SW, reboot, install first the new Ovi Suite than PC Suite (I like a reliable Outlook Synchronisation, which OVI doesn't provide).
Just tried to define a Outlook folder to synchronize Outlook Notes: Just by accessing the Outlook file - Ovi crashes!
For what OVI suite is usefui? Delete all the Maps on my phone at once (which lasts several Hours) - Formatting the memory card is much more faster
Looking whether the is a ROM update for my N82 is available - It isn't.
PC Suite still works fine in synchronizing Outlook 2010 on Win7 x64. OVi suggests the same, but immediately crashes when just accessing a Outlook file.
Possibly in OVI Suite 5 this will work, about in the year 2025.
Where there is a technical documentation on the different versions of the OVI suite, where on the Nokia web I can find out, what release number is the current version?
I think, Nokia should do a better job!

Resistance thermometer wiring configurations:
Two-wire configuration
The simplest resistance thermometer configuration uses two wires. It is only used when high accuracy is not required as the resistance of the connecting wires is always included with that of the sensor leading to errors in the signal. This applies equally to balanced bridge and fixed bridge system.
Three-wire configuration
In order to minimize the effects of the lead resistances a three wire configuration can be used. Using this method the two leads to the sensor are on adjoining arms, there is a lead resistance in each arm of the bridge and therefore the lead resistance is cancelled out. High quality connection cables should be used for this type of configuration because an assumption is made that the two lead resistances are the same.
Four-wire configuration
The four wire resistance thermometer configuration even further increases the accuracy and reliability of the resistance being measured. In the diagram above a standard two terminal RTD is used with another pair of wires to form an additional loop that cancels out the lead resistance. The above Wheatstone bridge method uses a little more copper wire and is not a perfect solution. Below is a better alternative configuration four-wire Kelvin connection that should be used in all RTDs. It provides full cancellation of spurious effects and cable resistance of up to 15 Ω can be handled. Actually in four wire measurement the resistance error due to lead wire resistance is zero.

FlashIsland is a native UI element like table or image - not a reusable component like ALV. What release level is your system? FlashIsland is only available on NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 and higher.
Also the FlashIsland UI element must be a root UI element. Therefore it has be created in its own view. Right mouse click on the ROOTUIELMENT in the UI element hierarchy and choose Swap UI Element Definition.

     I want to upgrade an BW environment from Netweaver 7 EHP2 to Netweaver 7.3 but I'm not sure what release I have to download for this components... I mean... for this components what are the release supported or what release I have to download for this components compatible with Netweaver 7.3?

For more information, you can check SAP note 1532805. I would suggest you to download patched from MOPZ and it will take care of dependency of all the objects instead of downloading all components separately.
