What's a good 3 bureau monitoring service???

Morning All, Whats a good 4 bureau monitoring services that gives you access to your scores, and allows you to view your three credit reports on a daily basis?  I have USAA Credit Monitoring premium, and it's changing and will only allow me to pull my report once a month starting in 45 days.  I like to pull it daily to see what's been updated, what my utilization is, and if there's been and changes at all. Can anyone recommend a product for me?  I was looking at the myFICO 3-bureau report for $24.95, and thats what I currently pay and would like to stay in that price range as well.   Thanks for the help.

I agree Credit Check Total is excellent.  I had the 7 day trial and I continued the membership and I got the 14.97 as well.  They are giving your true fico scores. Is that it? just call within 7 days when you try to cancel they will make you an offer? is it just for 1 month or every month 14.95? Many people have reported that they are offered the $14.97 deal for two years when calling to cancel.  I went about it slightly different.  I called when I was about 4 or 5 days into the 7 day trial period, explained that I really liked the product, but thought that $30/mo was too high.  Immediately, the rep that I spoke to stated that she could lower it to $14.97/mo for two years.  It appears it is simply there for the asking.  The rep also stated that it is likely that after the two years there would be other discounts available, but obviously could not guarantee it.   I like what I see with CreditCheck Total so far.  I am receiving alerts, Experian updates each day, as well as the ability to have a 3-bureau report with FICO 8 scores, three times a month.  Appears to be a very good deal.  The only thing I have not figured out yet is if any unused 3B reports carryover to the following month, or if we lose them.

  • What is a good CTR monitor

What should I look for to ensure quality when purchasing a CTR monitor? I'm trying to go the economical route without comprimising quality. (If I'm going to lay down 2k for a G5, I won't be able to swing the $700 for the Apple Display.)

JFlack...A little late for reply....Just got into this Discussion today looking for posts re Cinema display problem. FYI, I have 20" Apple Cinema display with G5 OS 10.4.3 (Tiger) and another 20" Apple Cinema Display with G4 OS 10.3 (Panther). The difference in presentation/appearance between my G5 and G4 is remarkable. The G4 is perfect - the G5 is substandard. Recommend a demo with Apple Dealer before you will buy. Unfortunately, my nearest dealer is 100 miles away and I buy Apple thru CDW (formerly MacWarehouse). JIm.

  • What function does the APS service: Web Intelligence Monitoring Service perform?

When creating an Adaptive Processing Server, one of the services that can be selected is: Web Intelligence Monitoring Service.  What exactly is this service monitoring?
Is it monitoring the APS itself when chosen?  Or as the name implies, is it monitoring Web Intelligence Processing Servers?
Under properties, there are configuration options for this server ( i.e. Enable Monitoring checkbox ).  Are there any best practices when this service should be selected for an APS or not?
    Thanks

Swapnil and Shwetabh, thanks for your replies.
Using the Monitoring Service as an example, I know:
    - If the Monitoring Service is running on an APS, then Monitoring ( under CMC ) will work
    - if the Monitoring Service is NOT running on an APS, then Monitoring ( under CMC ) will NOT work
    For Web Intelligence Monitoring Service,
    - if this is running on any APS, when benefit do we get?  Are there monitoring logs it creates anywhere?
    - if this is NOT running on any APS, what are we missing?
In our environment we have followed APS best practices ( as per link Swapnil refereneced ) and have split services across multiple Adaptive Processing Servers.  We have 2 nodes clustered together with a total of 16 different Adaptive Processing Servers of which 12 have the Web Intelligence Monitoring Service.  In addtion, we are running 5 instances of the Web Intelligence Processing Server across both nodes.  Without understanding what purpose the Web Intelligence Monitoring Service serves, I find it difficult to determine how many of our APS should have the Web Intelligence Monitoring Service.
If we only have 5 Web Intelligence Processing Servers, does it make sense to have 12 APS with the Web Intelligence Monitoring Service?
    Thanks

  • Registry Monitor Service Harddisk Grind

    Hello Lenovo,
I am having problems with the Lenovo T61 with Windows Vista.
At the startup there was an unacceptable lot of CPU activity and harddisk hdd grinding for 15 minutes. Since I intend to preserve my harddisk, I have identified the following culprits:
    Vista ReadyBoost
    Vista Prefetch Service
    Vista ReadyBoot
    Lenovo Registry Monitor Service
Now, I have disabled the ReadyBoost Service, the Prefetch Service, and the ReadyBoot (through the Event Viewer - search for it on www to see where to drill down to do this), but the Registry Monitor Service is causing the most problems.
Lenovo describes the Register Monitor Service as a general service used by other applications to support various Lenovo functionalities - these you want to keep, including the fingerprint security made available through the Client Security mechanism.
I too have tried removing scheduler_proxy.exe and tvt_reg_monitor_svc.exe from the registry, under Run. But they just come back. I have tried disabling the Register Monitor Service altogether, deleting its file - it just comes back when I use the fingerprint identifier. I have tried making the service startup manual, which is also unsatisfactory.
What I would like is a real solution, it could along the lines of one the following:
    1) An updated tvt_reg_monitor which only does what its name implies - in other words which is decoupled from the functionalities mentioned by Lenovo, including Client Security. This would enable me to disable the monitor.
    2) A way to configure the tvt_reg_monitor_svc.exe to NOT look through the registry for changes, while still providing the fingerprint functionality.
What do you think I should do?

    Hello,
Have you tried excluding the ThinkVantage Registry Monitor service from being scanned by the antivirus software?  If so, did that provide any noticeable improvement in performance?

  • Good NTSC Monitor?

    Greetings,
Can anyone recommend a good affordable NTSC Monitor?
    Thanks!

For a comprehensive list of what's currently available, go to www.bhphoto.com Click on Video-Professional, then look under the Post-Production section and click on Monitors & Accessories. Once there, click on Production Monitors-Color. You can sort the list by brand or pricing. Prices range from around $300.00 to over $7200.00.
If I knew your budget and the type of work you're doing, I could recommend a few specific models. One thing to consider is what you're using the monitor for. For example, if you're doing broadcast work, you may want to skip past the production monitors and go to the more expensive broadcast monitors. At any rate, look for a model that has the features you'll need such as Blue-Gun Only mode, underscan, etc. and if you're doing HD work, you'l need one capable of displaying an HD signal. Also, monitors with SMPTE-C phosphors are generally much more accurate than others ... but of course they're more expensive.
I'd post a link but for some reason, the search links don't work when pasted.

  • What's a good file recovery program for a MacBook Pro running IS 10.7.5?

Hey gang - I ordered a miniStack 4TB external hard drive from OWC a few months ago during a long overseas trip. I finally unwrapped it and started dumping data to the drive from the 1TB drives (also from OWC) I used via my MacBook Pro. I connected the 4TB to the laptop with FW800.
I came back from the gym (gone about two hours) and saw a "the drive wasn't disconnected properly..." window. There was a clicking noise coming from the drive, which means mechanical failure.
I went into Disk Utility and the drive is there but it's grayed out. I changed cables to USB 3.0. Unplugged the drive. Shut down the laptop. Then went through the start up and nadda.
So before I run off a disk repair place in town and spend $1000, what's a good hard drive recovery program to use to pull the data? I only dumped 1.5TBs until the 4TB and have other drives to dump that data too if I need to.
    Thanks.
    Cheers,
    Bill.

    General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro.  Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.  Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk.  Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads. Recovery software usually provide trial versions that enable you to determine if the software would help before actually paying for it. Beyond this or if the drive has completely failed, then you would need to send the drive to a recovery service, such as Data Recovery by DriveSavers, which is very expensive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.
Also visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on Data Recovery.

  • What is a good codec to convert MTS too for edting?

I heard that MTS or AVCHD footage is not good to edit with. What is a good codec to convert too?

    No.
"Rendering" in working through PrPro is actually just telling the program to take the instruction set for an area selected and create new previews for that section. They are NOT really to be used in any final export process (there are only about two format/codecs that would work that way, and likely no one reading this is using them ... ) but JUST for playability in "real time" in the monitors during editing.
It is needed if between the computer specs & drive layout, the number of effects called for in a clip, and the particular codecs used, the playback causes the GPU to "drop frames" or get slow/erratic in motion. You simply select that section of the sequence, then right-click or go to the upper menu system or keyboard-short to "render selection". You computer runs for a bit, then ... playing back that section should be full-speed.
Someone who say uses mts files (which can at times be a bit of work behind the scenes for the hardware) and never needs to render before he's done with a project and exports it is saying that his computer handles mts file just fine with the level of effects he uses without needing to render any sections or suffer 'dropped frames' on playback.

  • What's a good video cature device?

So I was wondering, what is a good media capture device for
streaming? I'm thinking an external for portability purposes. Also
when I buy one, whats a good software to get along with it? Adobe
Premiere Elements, Sony Vegas+DVD Production Suite? I'm sort of new
to the video side of web design.
Also, if i'm doing HD. Would I have to buy on of those really
expensive ones? Not just the ones for DV. But also, MPEG/HD/HDV
    etc.?

I'm also using 1680x1050 on two wide screen monitors on two different nvidia cards. a nvidia7900 and a nvidia6800. Everything works fine. They are set up as independent screens.  The third monitor isen't a wide screen and it's on a third card nvidia geforce4. Anyway, if it helps, you can find my xorg.conf file in the wiki. It's the last one in the list.
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xor … conf_Files
The only thing I changed in the file since I posted it was the order of the font paths.

  • A good external monitor

hello, i have the final cut suite and i heard that when doing color correction you do not want to use your computer screen. does anyone know of a good tv monitor that is good - or if i even need one and the computer screen works just fine? at my school they used the 13-in jvc's. any opinions?
    thx

If you're a recent student, then I will ask you what is the value of a test (examination, paper, quiz, questionnaire...) if it is not evaluated by an impartial judge. Is it an A+ or a D-? In other words does it need to be "right"? Would you give yourself a great mark for work that is "just fine"?
CRT monitors have been abandoned because they are not big enough, lack the resolution, purity, convergence, power efficiency and environmental impact that would keep them useful. On the other hand they have a smoother gamut, better black, gamma response, and show interlacing properly. Sadly, no longer available, and grade monitors in that class used to be $45K and up.
Solid state monitoring is getting ready for prime time. When it needs to be right, there are a few monitors that will be a good substitute for an A-class grading monitor... e-Cinema, CineTal, and a few other offerings. These are fairly pricey items, because building a monitor that will reproduce the various colourspaces currently in use is a tricky business. The majors: Sony, JVC, et al., to date, have not delivered, and don't seem as though they are about to, either.
You will hear all about various "inexpensive" solutions using computer monitors that are on offer with some sort of LUT, or pre-processing interface. For the most part, there is no way to fake the contrast ratio and response time that a true grading monitor offers.
You may be aware that in the "old days" there were serious arguments about the type of phosphor that was approved for CRT grade monitors... the same arguments now abound with regard to the various solid state displays that are being sold.
Colour "correction" requires more than a TV set that only shows that 'something happened'. If it is not calibrated to a known reference, all you're doing is damage. Sorry if that sounds negative, but you'll find out soon enough that it is the paying customers who have refined this notion.
Balance the cost of your monitoring choice vs. your ability to continue doing business and your professional reputation.
Think carefully about waveform monitoring, as well.

  • What's a good karaoke program/app for the iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro. I need lyrics and tempo shown.

What's a good karaoke program so I can practice at home ? I need the lyrics and tempo shown like a professional setup for the pc windows lline and the app should be similar throught IOS platforms and Mac.

You'll need an adapter cable, and which one you need depends on what version MBP you have and the inputs on the monitor.
I just recently purchased a Dell U2410 to use as a second display with my iMac. Overall I'm pretty happy with but my use is a little different, I wanted something with very good color accuracy for photo work.  Based on what you said your needs are, you probably don't have to spend as much.
One thing I will say, is this particular monitor (and I believe all Dells) has an antiglare screen on it, which to be honest, took me a little getting used to.  Because of the matte surface, text and documents aren't quite as sharp and can even look a little hazy at times.  For your uses  you may be better off with a glossy screen as long as glare isn't going to be too much an issue for you.
BenQ makes some pretty nice and affordable monitors these days LED backlit or otherwise, and on that note, theres absolutely nothing at all wrong with non "LED" monitors, both technologies are still using an LCD panel for the display, they just deal with the backlighting differently.
As the other poster mentioned, NEC is always a good option as well.  Less common on the consumer side, but they make very good professional products.

  • Monitoring services in CSS 11050 using SNMP

Has anyone implemented SNMP monitoring of services for CSS?
How do i go about doing it using HP Openview as the SNMP manager?
I have read the SNMP configuration for CSS but still quite confused about setting the threshold for the RMON alarm. How do you determine what threshold to set to indicate that the service is alive or down??
You might want to refer to the RMON guide for CSS below:
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/webscale/css/advcfggd/rmon.htm#35012

    Hi Matthew,
actually for monitoring services via SNMP you dont need to configure
alarms on the CSS. First, there are default traps generated by the CSS
MIBs. Information can be found here:
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/webscale/css/advcfggd/snmp.htm#xtocid1874327
There are two traps "Service Down" and "Service Suspended" send to
the preconfigured mgmt station. This can be used to indicate whether
a service is down or not.
Secound, you can poll the state of the existing services by the mgmt
station using the CSS MIBs, this is described here:
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/webscale/css/advcfggd/snmp.htm#xtocid1874330
Use the svcExt.apSvcState variables to get the states.
If you have any further questions ...
    cheers
