What's a good "comment" application/code?

Will be needing a comment section on a web page, where ppl can submit comments. Would like a "simple" version where anyone can post, as well perhaps another requiring either a credential (id number etc.) or pre/review the post prior to it posting. As far as displaying, either propagate the comments down below the content, or maybe have a separate page for viewing (similar to many of the news sites etc.).

Yes, it does come up frequently on various forums, but people do not often reply as it does require a knowledge of a server-side language and database code.

Basically you would require your comment form to send the info to a database and then be included in your page using the sql WHERE clause to decide if the comment should be included depending on if you wish to 'approve' the inclusion or not.

A lot of people use Cyberduck - mainly because its free.
I use Yummy FTP because it has the added advantage of showing both the files on your Mac and those on the server in the same window. There's a new Lite version which only costs $1.99 from the App Store. I think you'll find that its two bucks well spent!

What's a good Windows application to convert videos for the iPhone 3G?

I've heard that Handbrake is great for converting videos to the iPhone 3G format but the current version has a bug in AAC decoding so it won't work for me.
Are there any other alternatives that are easy to use but produce full quality iPhone videos?

Here is an answer to my question which I thought I share.
The "Comments" field in the "Document" Inspector is only for us (the authors). Whatever you put here is for you and won't show up in the actual iBook nor in the iTunes. It is just a place to make notes to yourself!

Commenting out code in TrueCode mode deletes code

We used RoboHelp X3 and was trying to comment out specific
sections of a code by moving over to the True Code view and
commenting them out following the usual HTML standards/conventions.
However, we found that when we saved the project, generated the
file, and opened the topic(s) from the source project next time,
the sections that we had commented out had actually got deleted.
Could you please help me with this? Is there a specific way to
comment out code in RoboHelp?

(I began the earlier reply before I knew what I wanted to
say).
Is it possible that when those particular lines are commented
out, the result is a syntax error in the remaining html or js code?
Also, consider that html and js code techniques have come a
long way since X3. Maybe your code is technically correct now, but
X3 doesn't know it.

PO for Finished Goods with Tax Code - Inventorise

Hi All,
Our Client is procuring Finished Goods from Domestic Vendor & Excise Duty is paid to the Vendor for that i am defining the tax code in PO. Over here For the Finished Good in Tax Code it is not capturing - (Condition Type - JMO2). I have checked it in PO for ROH, HALB tax code is working perfectly with (Condition Type - JMO2). I like to know will it work for finished goods or not. In J1ID i have maintained Excise Rate.
I had followed the following steps.
1) Material code- Chapter id maintained in J1ID
2) Vendor code excisable in J1ID
3) Maintain condition record in FV11 for the correct validity period
4) Check the PO creation date whcih should fall between condition record validity period
Every thing is maintained i have checked it Thoroughly fot this particular material i am not getting it. This one is a finished goods material.
I am not able to identify what is happening.
I will give the flow so that you can help me out.
1. Created Material - Finished with all views except - Classification, Forecasting,
Work Scheduling & QM
2. Create Info Record - Tax Code given
3. J1ID - Chapter ID, Chap ID with Material, *** Val for Mat, Vendor Excise Detail, Excise ind. for Plant, Excise ind. for Plant & Vendor, & Excise Tax Rate.
4. FV11 - Maintained till - 31.12.9999.
5. FTXP - Tax Code is Maintained & it's working fine with other PO.
6. ME21N - PO is done for Domestic vendor with Standard PO With no condition & With only tax code for ED & CST.
7. In J1ID cenvat determination has been maintained.
Also the material type should be raw in material chapter id combination instead of RG1 even though the material is finished to take credit of excise it should be maintained as RAW .
Over Here if i see i am not able to capture (JMO2 A/P Eduty for Inven 0.000%) &
For Sale tax i have maintained it in FTXP as (A/P C Sales Tax Inv NVV 12.500% JIP1) but it is not appering in PO Tax code. I can See the sale tax is geting updated in Tax code for Inventorise if i give it with out ED in tax code. With ED it is not Appering in Taxcode.
Can you help me resolving the issue.

Hi All,
Just give a check by entering cenvat determination table. System checks this by default for excise details. Enter i/p and o/p material as same.

You can print two photos on a single page with iPhoto, you can put two photos on a single page with Pages, Word or any word processor. Or are you trying to edit two photos together?

There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

The reason I ask this is because there might be a need in the future where I need to export those custome schema into different branded directory server. I just want to make this as painless as possible.
Right now, I thought of 2 options
1) Create my own LDIF file with my custom attributes and object classes, so if one day I need to export to another directory server, I can just copy that custom created LDIF file over. (Will this work?)
2) Create a JAVA application using JNDI. What this Java App. will do is read through a XML file and create those object classes and attributes on-the-fly. (of course, the XML structure will be predefined by me, so that my Java App. will be able to parse through it correctly. Will this work?)
Anymore suggestion? I would want to hear more advices and suggestions.
Also, I assume that will work even with replication. All I need to update is the master server, and the slaves will replicate automatically.

What is a good strategy for keeping OEM GRID up and running? Currently, we have grid installed on one linux64bit box with 4 cpus and 8 gigs of RAM, oms 10204, repdb 10204, agent 10204. In addition to using this oem grid for notifications and performance monitring, we are also using this oem grid for scheduling over 700 jobs running over 30 targets.
What is a good strategy to have to backup the grid so that when this box goes down, we can restore and then recover the grid? Please lead to white papers or documentations. Thank you.

UI and Application Code?

I've been exposed to Java but without GUI. I've just started to learn swing and event handling. Normally in developing an application, the GUI code and the application code is preferrably separated. Now my question is, how do the application code and GUI are able to interact. How do I connect them? inheritance? i hope to get some sample codes to do this. What is a good way to load 80 million documents in DocumentDB?

I am having problems loading a large set of data. We want to load 80 million documents. We are trying to do testing for an IOT solution that will end up having a lot of data in it. I followed the instructions to use a stored procedure to

But it throws exceptions when we load 2,000 - 5,000 documents. Our documents are only about 80 characters.

I had been working on this from around one month and I am happy to say that my code works. Was able to upload around 0.5 million documents in 20 min.
The configuration was Document DB with S3 , I scaled out for 16 collection for sharding, I think you need to shard out more. This will depend on how much each document takes.
So the Calculation goes like if each document is lets say on an average 2Kb of Size and you have 80 million documents that will come out to be 160GB
That means you will need more than 16 collections to store as at Max 1 collection can have 10GB of Data. So to be on the safer side I would say lets go for 3 times the storage so 48 collections . If all of them are at S3 than you have 2500 RUs spread across
48 collections and I am sure if you do insertion now you will not get Request Rate too large exception.
