What's consumption A/c?

Dear Friends,
1.What is a consumption a/c? How consumption is booked? Plz tell in detail about CONSUMPTION.
2.Is there any std report to find purchase from a particular Vendor (if possible for a particular Mat. Typ or Gr) in a year?
Thank you.

Hi,
1. When you issue a material to a cost centre, the value of the material issue is posted to a consumption account so that your stock account will get credited and consumption account will get debited. You can track the consumption value of the material using this GL account
2. you can check this report MC$4 for purchases made for a vendor.

  • What's going on with Project "Gateway" and Sybase?

I've just returned from Teched in Berlin where I followed mostly the mobile track of sessions.
I've come away alternately energised and confused. Each topic in its own right is clear, but piecing allthe components together is a different matter.
Has anyone got opinions on the future role of project Gateway? I saw many sessions by Sybase on the SUP and only one which mentioned Gateway. Gateway didn't feature in the mobile strategy slides. However, I have seen material mentioning the future tie-up of the two. If this should happen, then how might they interact? And what future for the co-innovation platform?  Can we draw any conclusions on this yet?
The instant value mobile apps session CD161 seems to build on top of the SAP Data Protocol (SDP), but thinking back, they didn't mention Gateway in there at all. And the co-innovation platform session was silent on both Gateway and SDP
So does "Instant Value" equal "Project Gateway"? It can't be since the Sybase guys talk a lot about Instant Value. Are there two interpretations of this term within the organisation?
Just hoping to kick off a general discussion on this subject. All opinions and replies welcome. Especially from insiders...
    Alex.

Hi Steffan - good point. I kind of assumed that LMS is another term for Project Gateway... They seem to be addressing the same problem, and the architecture diagrams look qualitatively similar.  The CD121 Sybase slides also talk about the "SAP Mobile Connector", which might be yet another name for the same thing. I think you would know better than me since you've already built that thing you showed at the Demo Jam - what data consumption technology was your demo-ed app using?
I get the impression that there have been a number of independent development streams within SAP which are only now being brought together. This manifests itself to us as mixed or incomplete messages. It's easy to see how at a teched, each group might be responsible for getting its own message out and not necessarily integrating into the overall message of the mobile strategy.
So essentially there are two categories of mobile app inthe SAP vision:
    1. Instant Value  and
    2. Mission Critical.
Then there are various methods of consuming SAP backend data from our mobile apps:-
    1. Netweaver mobile DOE (via co-innovation platform?)
    2. LMS
    3. Project Gateway
    4. Web services
    5. BAPIs (via JCA)
(This is five methods, not four, which is another reason why I thought LMS and Gateway were the same thing).
Then on top (or underneath?) of all this, you have to make a call on whether to make use of the SUP middleware and/or a security product like Afaria.
So perhaps the most likely combinations look like:-
    Mission Critical apps with SUP ( + Afaria ) + DOE/Gateway
    or
Instant Value apps with (LMS/Gateway or simply Web services/JCA)
But if you have a LOT of Instant-value apps to build I guess your landscape could become complicated enough to justify the middleware too.
Now please someone point out the flaws in this summary!
    Alex.

  • Power consumption for router and switch

I have a linksys EZSX88W switch which I checked power consumption of 70ma idle. It's supplied by the adapter which has an output of 1000ma. Not sure what the consumption when switch is being used. I also have an WRT54GS but haven't checked consumption yet, but it's powered by the same 1000ma adapter. In an effort to save energy-that -GREEN FEELING- I was thinking of using on power adapter to power bothe the router and switch. Has anyone tried this yet?? Also if I posted this in the wrong area I hope the moderator will move the post.
    thanks

So you are thinking of Powering on both the Devices using a single Power Adapter? Well never tried to make both the devices use a single power adapter. As far as i think its not possible. But if you still wish, you can give a try and check if that works for you or not.

  • Consumption pattern

Hi and thanks for the reply!
I tried using the additional product master attribute and wrote a macro that set the value according to our business logic. I also included the additional product master attribute as a navigational attribute to the product master in our planning area. So far so good. However when I try to assign the forecast profile, I just realized that it can only be done based on characteristics in the planning object structure and not on navigational attributes.
This leads me to the conclusion that we either need to incorporate the XYZ indicator as a characteristic in the planning object structure, or write a new program for forecast profile assignment.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Questions on running an Arch Mirror

Questions on running an Arch Mirror
Does anyone here run a public arch mirror that can give me any idea of bandwith they use ?
Is there any issues with running the Current and Extra mirrors in the US ?
Is there any issues with running the Community mirror in the US ?
Mostly I would like to know what bandwidth consumption on a public mirror is for the mirrors that are normally used.  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think he would mind this info being posted... i emailed him asking for the bandwidth info for the server for a one month period.... an average.......
    - we dont have
a record of actual data transferred, just the amount requested (which
    stands at 5440.17 GB).
My server only allows approx 2500 GB transfer per month... so, until i can find a way to upgrade that, I won't make it a public server.... if i did, i'd owe WAY too much money at the end of every month

Try checking the message class used inside BAPI_PO_Create and all the messages in ME21n .
Then you will need to go to this message class and find out al the messages.
But this can go for a long list from 'error for valid vendor numbers, materials , and all the fields etc

  • N8 Sudden Decrease In Battery Life

I have had my N8 for years and have loved it every minute.  Through ^3, Anna, and Belle i've always had 2 days of battery life with average use (power saving off).  Last week however, my N8 suddenly had battery issues.  There were no app, firmware, or setting changes preceding.  So it's not anything obvious draining it.
When I charged the phone overnight (wall charger), I'd wake up in the morning and see Nokia Battery Monitor showing that the phone stopped charging prior to 100%. For example it would state: "Charged xHr yMins ago to 95%" or "98%".  Occasionally it would also show up at 100%.
With this also came a drastic sudden drop in battery life.  I would see approximatley 14-15h of life, and now I'm down to about 9-10.  When looking at NBM stats, it would say "Background" used >100% of battery life at times.  Under background would be things like Messaging, Music Player, and Notes, which is completely wrong.  See below:
Here's what ive tried so far:
    1) Use AppStop to kill all background apps, no effect.
    2) 7370 hard reset to clear everything and go to factory settings.  Wiped phone, mass, and card. No effect.  Used AppStop to get to bare minimums.  No effect.
    3) Reinstalled Belle via Suite.  No effect.
    4) Let battery drain until it shut off, then used wall charger while phone stayed off overnight. Nope
    5) Let battery drain down til shut off, then used USB charging. Nothing. Repeated this hoping it would "recalibrate" battery levels.  Nothing.
    Nokia Energy Profiler Stats:
Ran this for about 20 mins to get some stats:
    1) Idle draw with screen on is about 0.20-0.30W, 15% CPU consumption.  Occasional spike up to 30%.
    2) Idle with screen off is barely 0.02W, 3-4% CPU consuption.  Occasional spike.
    3) Based on the power consumption, it still estimates that I should get 40+ hours of battery life on a full charge.
Battery lasting less than a day?  I feel like an iPhone user.  I get that I could always turn 3G off or power saving on and stretch it a bit more, but that's not a fix, it's just a Band-Aid over a bigger issue.   Anybody have ideas?  Should I buy a new battery and replace it?

Updates:  So I bought a brand new genuine BL-4D hoping it would fix the problem.  Nope, didn't happen...though the battery seems to now charge to 100%.   EIther way this leads me to believe it's not  a battery problem.  Unless there's an issue with the charging circuit, this I"m back to a consumption problem.
So I tried another belle refresh and a "Factory Settings" restore from the menu, didn't help.  Not sure what to do now, as Battery Monitor doesn't really point me to anything that's killing the battery.  So I decided to do more research with Energy Profiler and ran it for approx. 50 mins to see what the consumption deal is.
I exported the data as a .csv and cleaned up the data.  I've attached the power and current graphs.  In both graphs you see that there's very low consumption immediately after starting the measurement and locking the phone.  Afterwards, there are two distinct idle consumption values, approx 42mA (.16W) and 130mA (.49W).
An average 42mA power draw would give me approx 28.5h battery life (1200mAh/42mA=28.57h).  However an average power draw of 130mA would result in a 9.2h battery life.  The actual average of all my Current data points is approx 99.9mA, giving me 12h of battery life, which is about what I'm seeing at the moment.
I know my idle consumption is lower with 3G off and even lower with power saving on, but I haven't gotten the chance to record these measurements yet.
I'm still not sure what's causing a high idle power consumption, any ideas?

  • How much power is consumed in sleep iMac 27" 2013

    Hi,
I have been reading the various discussions about the respective pros and cons of putting the iMac to sleep or turning off. I was wondering what the consumption of the recent i5 27" 2013 models is in sleep mode. I found the 2011 spec but not 2013. Looking for the spec on 230v.

  • Time Capsule as Media/iTune and NAS?

    HI,
Got few Apple Products in home and Planning to get Good Media server/NAS HDD.
Currently using 500GB External HDD connected to WiFi router.(has few limitations streaming drops, file size etc PRO: no external power supply and cheap in price)
I am trying to put all the stuff in one place Photos, Music, Movies, TV shows etc. and wanted to access on all Apple Products. (ipad, Iphone, MAcs, ATV etc). I beleive there is limitation on iTune Library one at time???
Wanted to stream Movies from NAS without distructions and droping??
TIme Capsule can be iTune Server, hows streaming performance? any lags on network?
Whats permormance with NAS and Streaming content via WiFi network?
Wanted to Stream Photos, or any media format, any Limitations on file size or format for copying. (as existing router supports on FAT format (router limitations) and cant copy larger files???)
is it worth to put Time Capsule on network?
    Whats power consumptions on TC?
    Whats failure rate for HDD?
Is TC best solution for me?
is it possible to download podcast automatically on TC?
is there any alternative for TC in market? looking for 2TB at least.
    Suggestions, comments much appreciated.
Thanks in advance and Happy new year Champions.

make sure you do the following if you are planning to load all your library on TC:
Step 1: make sure that you tell iTunes where your media folder is located, under preferences, advanced, chose the location of your media folder (assuming you are using iTunes 10+.
Step 2: Once you are done telling iTunes where your media folder is located (music, etc) make sure you go to users & groups under system preferences (assuming you are running Lion or Mountain Lion OSX) and choose login items, then click the + sign and locate your time capsule from the shared drive section in finder, just chose it (no specific folder) just any folder.
the reason why you should do this, is that if it happen that you restart your mac! iTunes will try to look for the drive that has your media/music that you set earlier in step 2: , and since TC is not an actual NAS drive, it is more like a shared drive, it will take few seconds for the hard drive on it to load, where iTunes will not be able to locate it before it is ready, and thus it will revert to the default location of the media folder which is under music/itunes/itunes media/, and eventually none of your songs will actually work since they are on the TC and not your mac.
doing what i told to do in step 2: will make sure that your TC hard drive is ready before your iTunes try to locate the media folder, where you will be able to play your library without any issues.
failing to do so, most probably you will face the problem where you try to play songs in iTunes and finding that they have exclamation mark next to them, which means that they are missing from the library.
my music library is all located on my Time Capsule, and iTunes runs on my Mac mini (with home sharing enabled), and my iTunes is set to lunch on start up under system preferences/users & groups/login items/.
My mac mini act as a server (don't worry about your mac going to sleep, it will wake up once you try to access your media from other devices) assuming that you have the option wake on LAN enabled under network in system preferences.
    This is my setup.
    - Mac mini mid 2011, running Mountain Lion and latest iTunes set to launch on startup in case of computer power on or restart so i don't have to worry about launching it manually.
    - Time capsule 2 TB, used as network shared hard drive
    - MacBook Pro early 2011 running Mountain Lion and latest iTunes
    - 2 iPads
    - iPhones 4s
    - Apple TV 1 and Apple TV 2
all my devices having home sharing enabled under the same account.
i can access my music library from any of my devices easily and problem free.
hope this will help you and other users.
    Many thanks

Do not forget that you need lots of extra calories to create Nitro X Pros. There are many calculators available, some even online. They could enable you to know what your consumption ought to be centered on your Nitro X Pro mass targets. Let these resources
enable you to design the Nitro X Pro Building Diet that is best.
Use some Nitro Focus NO3 products however not to surplus. They are a good way to have the vitamins you should the body rapidly. I would advise to start off with whey protein products after which I would slowly transfer onto creatine and glutamine. The best
situations to get supplements is in the morning, before/ before bed and after teaching. 4. Keep away from fats and salts that are excessive. However, you do require some fat for a nutritious diet. Some things that have excellent fat are peanut butter oil and
fish. Additionally, consume lots of water, fuel up before you workout and when you workout have a dinner /move, which can be a significant nutrition boost.

I agree... I am trying not to whine... but be helpful to others if they experience the same while get input before I make the decision to return (which I am leaning towards)… It’s still a great phone – but I expected something different. I also have been coming the internet and forums to see what other people think as well to make sure I am not being oversensitive about it. $300 for a 16gb is not buyers remorse kicking in… it’s just I am not sure if I see much of a difference from my perfectly good (8month old) iPhone 1st generation…
But yes… if all iPhone 3G were problematic it would be in the news… so I err on the side that I may be a unique situation or simply did not make a well informed decision when going to 3G.
Still… the idea of turning 3G off to get a full day of use out of an iPhone… even moderate use that most of us would expect w/o charging midway or multiple times is a bit much to swallow.
I don’t want to bash and just looking for peoples reaction. I still really like Apple and the iPhone in general.

  • In Material Master Screen, functionally what is BAckward Consumption period

In Material Master Screen, functionally what is BAckward Consumption period & Forward Consumption period in the MRP Screen.Pls explain its functionality

    Hi,
The safety time / actual range of coverage ensures that the planned warehouse stock covers the requirements of a defined number of days. It therefore serves as a time float and thus works alongside the safety stock, which acts as quantity float.
The system simulates bringing the requirements forward by the specified number of days and the planning for the receipts, created for these requirements in the planning run, is also brought forward by this number of days.
    Prerequisites
    ·   You have set the Safety Time indicator in the material master record (MRP 2 View) to define whether the safety time is only to apply to independent requirements or to all requirements.
    ·    In the material master record (MRP 2 View), in the Safety Time/Actual Range of Coverage field, you have entered the number of workdays by which the requirements are to be brought forward.
    ·    If, in addition to this actual range of coverage, you also want to define a different number of workdays in certain periods or a safety time less than one day then, in Customizing for MRP in the activity Define Period Profile for Safety Time/Actual Range of Coverage you can define a period profile and assign it to the material in the material master record.

  • What is the field " Consumption based calculations " in EC 3.0

    Hi,
In the consumptions tab page of a facility, what is the importance of the field " Consumption based calculations ". Please explain step by step procedure to make use of it instead of providing links
    Thanks in advance
    Srinivas

    Hello Srinivasa,
Consumptions are time dependent consumption information for a facility object like coal consumption.
Consumption based calculation is used to calculate Emissions quantities based on amount of materials consumed.
Consumption based calculations are defined in calculation manater and are assigned in tab Consumption material.
For simple example without any major parameters emissions if you want to calculate sulfur dioxide emissions =
Sulfur dioxide) in defined unit =  Consumptions * EF
If you want to enter detailed equations taking into consideration facility parameters like temperature, control efficiency then you consumption based quations includes all such parameters
The field you are referrring here - "consumption based calculation" - is automatically populated, based on material - consumption based equation assignment in tab Consumption materials.
    Thanks

  • I want to know what is backward and forward consumption

    dear exports
i want to know what is backward and forward consumption , how maintain in mrp  view plz reply me

    Hi,
Consumption mode and consumption period are maintained in MRP 3 view .In strategy 40 when sales order is submitted it see the availability of PIR for consumption. The consumption mode decides the way of looking the PIR (i.e. If 3- It will look into forward direction like this) and consumption period states the limitation of looking.
    e.g.
If MODE is 3 and forward period is 30 days then the sales order will look the PIR in next 30 days and if mode 1 and period is 45 days then it will look the PIR in past 45 days.
