What's happening of my submission to the app store?
I submitted my app on November 14 before Thanksgiving break, I kept waiting for its result for a long, long time. Unfortunately by today(Nov 3) it is still marked In Review, and this status has lasted for almost two weeks... Please could some one help to explain this... Is it a sign that my app fails?
Can you remember what date you selected for its available date? You just accidentally referred to today as November 3rd, if you made a similar error when uploading, it could mean that your app won't clear until December 14th.
I've mentioned in another message that my app, that was in Waiting for Review for nine days, was only in In Review for 33 minutes, but it did happen to be on the release date that we had set. Another app from the same client was In Review for a few days. So, it can vary for different reasons, and so long as nobody has contacted you, then your app should hopefully be approved eventually.

How do I remove unwanted updates from the App Store? So you understand better what I'm referring to:
I have the App Store icon in the Dock. When there's an update a red number appears on said icon. Well, I went to check on the updates and it's for 4 different applications I either no longer have or use. One of them is an update for Lion OS users. I'm still on Snow Leopard, so it doesn't even apply to me.
So there they sit... I'm not going to download the updates... so how do I get rid of them?Hi Andy ..

If there are updates available for apps you have deleted, try this.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Move the Cache.db and Updates files from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Empty the Trash, restart your Mac.
For any apps you still have installed but do not use, the updates will still be available from the Updates top of the App Store window and show on the red badge on the App Store icon in the Dock.

TS1702 after upgrading to ios 6 i can no longer use the app store.
after upgrading to ios 6 i can no longer use the app store on my iPhone, i am unable to install new apps. i chose to fill out the security questions and the problem seems to occur since then. what could be a solution to get the app store working again??
i just contacted apple support and the solution is the following!!!!!
connect the iphone to your computer and open itunes
then click on itunes store at the left side of the screen
then click at the right top side of your itunes screen on your email address (or id that is displayed there in the black bar)
choose log out
then go to the top of the screen with the search option in itunes where you can search in the store and choose an app that you have not yet installed.
then you get the security questions also in itunes, fill the them out and after you have done that you are asked to log in again
now when you install an app that works (it is then on your computer still)
open the app store on your iphone and choose the updates button and install the app from the cloud
now when you install new apps also from the app store on your iphone it works again!!! and you are no longer asked about the security questions
(the other option they told me (that i did not have to use) is: go to settings/general/ all the way at the bottom of the screen choose make new settings restore networksettings and choose yes) -
If i click on the download button in the purhased section nothing happens. if i go into the App store and click download on Mountain Lion there it looks like it is starting to download and opens Lauchpad but it never moves off 'waiting'.
Any help would be great.

Several things to try.
Apps such as Little Snitch, Growl, MacKeeper, and anti virus software, can prevent the App Store from loading
Disable anti virus software if installed
Check the firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options
Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

I have tried a number of applications for arranging media. The ones I am looking to use at work however, we like to have using feeds from sites like flickr. We have Flipboard, which looks great, and usually works pretty great too, but there are errors and lame things about it. This app arranges images based on upload date, which you have to change manually through flickr to make images display in the correct format which is a pain, and images still will become out of alignment in landscape vs. portrait mode.
I was wondering if there was a media app out there that is arranged similar to the app store? I think this would make for a really slick interface to have. Being able to have heading images and sections along with panning sections lower on the page that allow you to scroll content and click to access a larger view.
Has anyone found really great media displaying apps? Any that happen to be similar to the app store layout? Really, any apps you have found for displaying content would be a great help.

Doesn't look all that great, you lose so much of the picture quality just to see a desktop?
Better to have a 1/8 th page window floating on top of other windows instead. -
I've been trying ro upgrade to the newest OS X, but every time I update it, nothing happens. Specifically, I want the App Store and it won't come up. Input?
Because you need to buy Mac OS X 10.6 on DVD and then update.

I have recently purchased some apps from the app store and after downloading them, the icon that appears in the dock changes to a different icon. It is now the same icon appearing on all newly downloaded apps. Does anyone know what is happening here? Even updating an older game app resulted in the original game icon changing to the new identical icon that all new apps are appearing with. This new icon is like a page with a ruler, pencil and paintbrush. Any tips on how to stop this or how to revert to the icon as it appears on the app store would be appreciated.

After upgrading to OX mountain lion my apps store doesn't open. App Store cannot verify a secure connection with the App Store. My internet connection is ok but i don't why this happening. What should i do?

Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) model number 5,1 or higher
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
8 GB or more of available space
If your computer isn't compatible, you might be able to upgrade to Lion.

IN the app store, the enter apple id screen just reappears again, like nothing is happening.
and in the apps, they just crash.
what should i doYou need to delete those applications and then download them from the desired Apple ID. This may require repurchasing paid ones.

Does anyone know what has happened to Softmatic Barcode Maker on the App store?
I bought this App a few months ago, and it worked fine. Then updated it a few weeks ago and worked even better. However I tried to load it today and it just crashes on startup. Have tried restating my MBP and it still doesn't work. I can't re-install because it is nolonger available on the App store, and furthermore, the publisher seems to have dissappeared completely! The web address softmatic.com doesn't go anywhere, and googling doesn't turn up any useful info.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to fix the software?
Or what has happened to Softmatic?
Or if I will have any kind of comebak with the App Store regarding this App?
Any help would be greatly appreciated – I'm stumped!

AndyI've rather wondered myself. I hadn't used the bar code software, but did download and try the free Gradient Pro. It worked very nicely. I had a question and one problem, support was iin contact within an hour with both the answer and a fix for the problem. The next day they posted an updated version with the fix as part of the update. I was very impressed. The next day, they were *poof*.
I still use the app, have the manual page downloaded from before, but they have vanished online. Too bad. They had some great plans in store for new features. -
I live in India.Earlier I was using my Debit Card to purchase apps from the App Store.But now I don't know what has happened,whenever I enter my debit card details,it is always declined.
What should I do ?
Please help me !I believe apple no longer accepts debit cards in some countries. Try a credit card instead. Go to settings/iTunes and App Store tap on the ID then then tap on view apple ID and log in then tap on account info and have a look at the billing options available to you

MacBook Air 13" running 10.7.5 When I click to download Mavericks in the App Store, nothing happens. What could be the solution?
There may be no progress bar apparent for Mavericks in the App Store. It may be a bug associated with this particular download.
To determine if it is actually downloading use Launchpad. You should see a fairly obvious new icon with an associated progress bar. Make sure you check every Launchpad page by swiping left / right.
If it's paused, click the icon to restart it.
Once it completes the icon will appear in Applications and Launchpad, it's just easier to find in Launchpad.
When it's finished downloading it looks like this:

Open the Mac App Store.
From the Store menu, choose Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Purchases to get to your Purchases Page.
Click the Resume button next to the app name.
