What's happening to my site?!?

I've designed this site in Photoshop, sliced it up and then exported it to HTML format, then opened up the HTML file for editing in Dreamweaver. Everything looks good and when I go to preview it in Safari, it looks great.
So I sent this project out for testing by some of my family and a cousin came back and told me to look at the site in Firefox. It looked like crap! Really, there were spaces where there shouldn't have been and some links had blue borders around them. I managed to get the blue borders off, but the site still looks kind of truncated.
So, I had to make a flash site which looks great and does everything I wanted it to, all for this truncated table reason.
Would someone be so kind as to take a look at the site and the code (I'm a designer by the way, not a developer and this is just beyond me!) and give me some suggestions? This project is my first web project and I'm getting a little stressed out that I can't find the answer to a problem that seems basic.

Unfortunately web design is not like print design. You can't just drag and drop and expect things to work. Web design does require a little bit of coding knowledge. Typically most here will suggest that you create the slices in Photoshop and export the slices you need. Then in Dreamweaver build the HTML instead of using the Export function from Photoshop because all Photoshop does is create a table with images in each cell. Not ideal for a web design, it fits everything tightly which is why when you add a link you get a blue border since when images become links you get a blue border unless you turn it off.
Also what is happening is that fonts might display differently in browsers and because of the tight fitting structure when you add too much text things get pushed out of alignment even if it does not appear that way in Design View.

I'll try and look to see a better tutorial of what I am explaining about coding the page manually from Photoshop slices unless someone else on here beats me to it. But that first link should get you going.

What's happened to top sites?

Since updating Safari to the latest version (5.15) recently, the browser seems to take a very long time to populate the homepage images (see below):
It seems completely random as to which it chooses to populate at any given time. Any thoughts?

Yes, it does seem to take longer. (Both 5.1.4 and 5.1.5 by comparison with 5.1.3.)
Haven't been able to determine reliable workarounds for the issue, myself.

What would happen if site to site conference call using G.729

conference bridge I am currently using is software conference , I am aware that Cisco software conference bridge only support G.711. and my project is a multisite project and site to site calls are via wan not PSTN. so my question is what would happen if a site to site add hoc or meet me conference call is made based on G.729. it doesnt work at all or there are some alternatives. I appreciate any input, thank you in advance

The main problem is that you will need some xcodes or MTPs in order to use the Software conf bridge, but be aware that using G.711 conf through a WAN link will decrease the available bandwidth and it might fail, for instance, G.711 uses 80 kbps, rather than G.729 that uses 24 (3 G7.29 calls per 1 G.711).
Here is the codecs' bandwidth utilization:
- G.711 call uses 80 kbps
- G.723 call uses 24 kbps
- G.729 call uses 24 kbps
- GSM call uses 29 kbps
- Wideband call uses 272 kbps
At this point the only option that you have is to get an HDV module and some DSPs and configure a HW xcode and conf bridge.

What's Happening Web Part not showing number of discussions on Community Site

I have the What's Happening Web Part on the landing page of a community site in SharePoint 2013 Enterprise On-Premises.
The What's Happening Web Part shows number of members and discussion replies correctly, but does not show any discussions.
Any idea of where to start troubleshooting?

2. have you try to restart the community feature from the site feature option in site settings? - Not yet. Thanks for the suggestion. This is a Communities Site Collection. All of the other Community features are working. Should I ask the Farm Admin to restart
the communities feature?
3. have you tried to add another what's happening webpart at newdummy site? No I haven't. Great suggestion. Kinda embarresed that I didn't think of this. Must have been tired that day.
4. is there any steps that you did before?, because in my lab box seems the webpart works well. - I tried deleting it from the page and then adding it back, but to no avail. Will try a test site.

It really isn't a well thought out 'gesture' when a normal scroll action can result in an unwanted zoom but disabling SmartZoom wasn't an option for me—one of those with eyes that tire easily when reading very small text on a 27" display.
For a while I used command-+ and command-'-' to read small text but that isn't supported in some apps and for Safari it often leaves the browser in an less than perfect state when moving to the next page. I also tried option scroll to zoom the whole display but that was not desirable, either.
I finally settled on leaving SmartZoom enabled and remembering to double tap with one finger whenever the undesired zoom happens. It happens so often that the double tap is almost a reflex action for me.

Firefox, all the sudden, will now load the site but will not let me go to a chat area in the website, what has happened?

I have a site that i am on all the time and have never had a problem at all using it, but the other day all the sudden i could log into the site but when i go to use the chat room feature in the site i get kicked back out to the sign in area. I have used on other comp to make sure not site and have been able use w Internet Explorer... So i am at a loss as to what has happened all the sudden. Please help me...very frustrated w this... Original problem I noticed was that regular websites I go to (such as msn) were only partially downloading. I could see the text on the site but no pictures or videos. All web surfing was extremely slow. When I would go to a site such as man I would see another address in the lower left corner for "ads1.msads.net" or "cdn.optimizely.com" that is was trying to connect to. I tried using all three of my browsers (firefox, safari, chrome) and got the same response on all browsers. After I spent some time researching the issue I decided I probably had a adware/malware problem so I decided to try adwaremedic.com. I could also not access that site along with thesafemac.com or apple.com. I was also getting the same response on my other devices (iPhone, iPad, and a mac air). I could not access any of these sites on any of my devices although I could get to almost any other site although it was very slow. At that point I decided to unplug the router. I also did a number of other things before then to try and manually get rid of any adware. Eventually I got msn back working, apple.com, and the speed was much faster. But, I still can not access adwaremedic and thesafemac.com. I could access these on my phone with 3G but not on my wifi. This is where the problem still stands. I am sure I still have some adware on my computer and need to find a way to remove it. I am no techie so the complicated manual fixes are difficult for me to do.

Use Flash Media Server to stream the files.......set up a timer and have all three of them play at once....and have a button switch the streams depending upon which stream you want to play.....and wallah......
you can also capture the stream.time from the video playing and resume from that point on the other videos as well....havent done this theoretically so I dont know how smooth the transistion between streams will be....but it can be done....
plus u may have to use double buffering techniques to make sure it starts up right away......

What has happened to the 'little lock icon' that tells me site safe?

There used to be a 'little yellow lock' icon at the bottom of the browser page when I did my banking or when I logged in on ebay etc.. This icon let me know it was safe to use the page/site. When I updated to Firefox 6.0.2. for Windows English the yellow lock icon no longer appears. What has happened to it? Is it there and I need to retrieve some how or have you done away with it...and why?

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.<br />
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.<br />
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.<br />
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

What happens to Muse site when you end subscription to Creative Cloud?

What will happen if i leave Creative Cloud/ Muse? Does the site die? Will the client still have editing capabilities?

If you have hosted the site on BC against the 5 free sites you get with cloud subscription, the site will expire once the cloud subscription has expired. If you have not hosted the site on BC or not against the free sites you get with cloud subscription, then nothing will happen to the site. It will be go as per its billing cycle.

Im wondering why my post hasn't been answered yet. I did file a report with the BBB and I had a rude representative from Verizon call me named Steve. He said I can file all of the reports I want and I will just keep getting calls from him. I can understand why my phone couldn't be replaced because of the small crack. I guess I have to eat that one (but it sucks because the lollipop update is what caused the problems) but what about all of the data overage I had to pay for for trying to fix this phone because of a lollipop update. I dont think it is fair to have to pay that as well. In addition, because I have an east coast phone number but live on the west coast, I cannot have tech support after 8pm. Verizon has cut this off. Im very dissatisfied and I have been a customer of Verizon for 13 years. Im hoping for a response this time.

Can I get the value for community site's What's Happening web part with Powershell?

I need to generate some statistic reports for our SP2013 community site. Some of figures I need are "no. of discussion", "no. of replied" and "no. of members" which are already listed in the "What's Happening" web

What will happen to my published site if I suspend my Muse subscription?

If I make changes to my website created in Muse (but hosted externally) only once a year or so, can I just pay for a single month, make changes, and not renew?

I think I know what you are talking about. Say for instance you buy a domain, you pay for a monthly subscription fee of 24.99 for Muse in May to design and upload your site. You upload your site, but you're not going to make any updates until the Auutmn. You don't have to pay anything else until November for example, when you decide you want to update it again. You pay another 24.99 in November to make those updates. Nothing will happen to your site in the interim, as that' on your private domain. You only are paying an "access" fee to edit and adapt the site for 30 days a month in Muse. Think of it as renting the software like you would a DVD.
I have compared it to a mobile phone "Pay As You Go" package. You 'buy' 30 month blocks of access to the programme only when you need to make changes. This works for someone who only wants to make very few changes here and there over a year.
So yes, you can do exactly as you had described.

I had the same problem and also had PDF Download 3.0.02 installed. By removing this addon I can now select a PDF document which then opens up a normal Open With/Save dialogue allowing me to open the file or save it. Hope this helps.

What happened to google site search plugin on Mycroft

I have searched Mycroft (and every other place I could find including opensearchplugins) but I can't find a plugin for Google site search anymore. I also have not found any announcements about it either.
What gives?
FYI: Using "site:{input url here}" on both the https and http google sites works fine. Pasting the current website's url in is an annoying extra step though. I have lost the plugin I once had.
There used to be an addon to make your own plugins (thought it was Add To Search Bar) but none I find now allow me to edit my plugins.
I don't want to use Google custom search because I don't like being logged into Google when I browse and search.
Anyone know a place to download the plugin? Or can you post the code so I can save the xml file in my searchplugins folder?
Also, I know this is not the mycroft site but I get a "forbidden" error when I try to go their forum.

I don't recall that plugin. What did it do exactly? You probably could emulate it with a bookmarklet if it doesn't turn up anywhere. For example, this bookmarklet opens a new tab/window with a site search of the current page's hostname (it's all one line, please ignore the fact that the forum hyperlinks it):
