What's My Podcast ID?

I have a podcast that has been listed in the iTMS since November but I cannot find out what my podcast ID is. I would like to know what it is so I can use the web link (i.e. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=FEEDID, where FEEDID is my podcast ID) feature on my site.
Everyone seems to be using this feature but there is no info anywhere on how to accertain my podcast's ID.
Can anyone help?
Power Mac G5 Dual 2.2 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Hi --
In the iTunes Music Store, navigate to your podcast "page" (where the title appears next to the logo in the upper left area of the window). Control-click on the link to your podcast's name and a "Copy iTunes Link" menu should pop up.
Copy the link and paste it into your web page.
Good luck!

  • What format are podcasts? where? what? how to save and share? ...

As someone who can't even spell MP3 I'm starting at a basic question -- what is a podcast?
I don't mean "what" as in concept but "what" as in what format? where does it live on my computer? how would I include a podcast in a playlist? etc.
Any "Podcast files of idiots" resources out there?
    Thanks

    what format
    MP3
where does it live on my computer
Dependin g on where you store your music files, there is a folder called "Podcasts" that should contain them all.
how would I include a podcast in a playlist? etc.
The same as you would for any other music file.

  • What is a podcast?

    What is a podcast?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast
A podcast is a type of digital media consisting of an episodic series of audio radio, video, PDF, or ePub files subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication or streamed online to a computer or mobile device. The word is a neologism derived from "broadcast" and "pod" from the success of the iPod, as audio podcasts are often listened to on portable media players.

  • What Happened to Podcast Publisher in Mountain Lion?

I can no longer find my Podcast Publisher in Mountain Lion, Like I am real upset about that. I paid 19.99 to LOSE an app I use? It is even listed as available on the site EXCEPT when you try to go to the description. Is it incorporated somewhere else?

Hark, I fixed that. Had to do the same thing in time machine.
    Error
    Dyld Error Message:
      Library not loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ServerKit.framework/Versions/A/ServerKit
      Referenced from: /Applications/Utilities/Podcast Capture.app/Contents/MacOS/Podcast Capture
      Reason: image not found
Had to remake the following path:  /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ServerKit.framework/Versions/A/
I had to manually re-creat this part of the file tree above, ServerKit.framework/Versions/A/
Then put the "Serverkit" file from time machine in the A directory
    should look like this:
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ServerKit.framework/Versions/A/ServerKit
Ran Podcast Capture and it pops up asking what server you want, cool!
I wonder if they dropped the ball on this or just figured no one wanted it?

  • What order do Podcasts sync in ?

I use an iPhone and a Classic and listen to podcasts on both devices at different times. Both devices are set to remember playback position, but what priority do they get when syncing back to itunes. i.e. I listen to half a podcast on my iPhone and then sync it. if I then connect my Classic, should that pick up the half-listened to podcast or will it sync the un-listened-to podcast back to itunes ?

    Hi,
In DTP Extraction tab there we have a option called :
    EXTRACTION MODE:   1)  FULL
                                         2) DELTA
FULL :  If you select full ...
if we have 5 request in source then it will consolidate all the request into one request and load into target
DELTA :  If you select delta ....
there we have two options in delta
          a)  Only get delta once :  if you have 5 requests in source and if select this option then it will load only one new request into target, and if you run agaain then also it will load one new request means it will load only one new request at time.
          b)  Get all new data request by request : Here if you have 5 request in source and if you select this option it will load all the new requests, request by request as it is, into target.
if you select " Get all new data request by request " this option it will enable one more checbox called " Retrive untill no morenew data " if you select this also it will load continuosly until no more new request in siurce.
I hope it will help you.

    Yerrabelli.

  • HT2562 What if the Podcast is gone

What happens if the Podcast is gone

    Hi,
To search all records using NVL give the condition as
    select ename, sal
    from emp
    where emp.deptno = NVL(:deptno,emp.deptno)
i.e the second parameter is the column name itself
The condition specified by you i.e
    where upper(ename) like NVL(:ename,'%','%'|| upper(:ename) ||'%')
will not work accepts only two paramteres and you are using three
    parameters
    Thanks

  • What happened to Podcasts in Itunes 10.4.0.80 for Windows?

I just installed Itunes for Windows on Windows 7, it is version 10.4.0.80, on a new computer. I went through the proceudre of subscribing to a podcast by going into Advanced >> Subscribe to Podcast. I expected to be able to see my subsribed podcast appear when I click on the Podcasts header in the navigation tree on the left. This is when I noticed that there is no Podcasts header. In the new version under "Library" I have "Music", "Films", "TV Programmes" and "Radio". I can't remember what version I was using before but I am pretty sure there used to be Podcasts here too. It doesn't appear anywhere on the list. Clearly the podcast section has just been moved somewhere, but where? I have repeated the action of subscribing several times and that seems to work with no errors, so it is definititely not a case of there just not being anything subscribed to. I only use Itunes to listen to podcasts, so this is rather crucial for me! Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this mystery.

I found this happeneing too since upgrading from 10.3.x to 10.4 and can't beleive its still there in 10.5.
Mine gets to between 1.2 and 1.6Gb before I get the 'Can't save library' error popup. If it happens late at night then the next day iTunes may be completely unresponsive - can't even bring it in to focus, so have to kill the process in Task Manager.
This iTunes instance has been running for 15min short of one day of continuous playback! and based on it's current memory leakage, it's about to fail.
For what it's worth, you can downgrade to 10.3 (you should be able to find sites archiving previous versions - Apple used to provide a link on their iTunes page, but I can't find it now). I was running or over a week with no decernable memory leakage, but as I wanted to upgrade to iOS5 on my phone, I had to go to 10.5.  I've got a MacBook Pro too, so may use that for iPhone updating and see if iOS5 will still sync music on 10.3 ...via direct USB connect of course!
But, you'll also have to find the various guides for downgrading.
Loosly put, you have to locate the backed up .itl files in your profile. It will have a date stamp in the filename to indicate when the upgrades took place.
    i.e iTunes Library 2010-11-22.itl
It's a bit of trial and error unless you know how many upgrades you've done since 10.3!
On Vista/Server 2008, the path to the backups is
    Users\<your user ID>\Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Libraries
Make a copy of your current .itl (in the parent iTunes folder) and copy and rename one from the backups. You'll need to rename the file back to the same as the current one (iTunes Library.itl)
Hope this helps and hope that Apple pull the finger out of their cloud!

  • What is a podcAst??? FReee or WUT?????????HELPPPPPP!!!

so u have 2 pay money for a podcast what is it and how do i get it

Podcasting is the method of distributing multimedia files, such as audio programs or music videos, over the Internet using either the RSS or Atom syndication formats, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. The term podcast like 'radio', can mean both the content and the method of delivery. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. Podcasters' web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their files; a podcast however is distinguished by its ability to be downloaded automatically using software capable of reading RSS or Atom feeds.
Usually a podcast features one type of 'show', with new episodes released either sporadically or at planned intervals such as daily or weekly. In addition, there are podcast networks that feature multiple shows on the same feed.

  • PODCASTS 101 - What IS a podcast?

yes, i am green, but what exactly is a podcast? Thanks. SJM

    Scott...
open iTunes, if you don't have it, go to www.apple.com and download it.
    Windows or mac it's free.
After you're done downloading it, install it, then open it, then click on the link on the left of the window that comes up, it will say MUSIC STORE,
the iTunes Music Store will come up. On the left of the screen that appears in the middle you'll see a list of available Genra's to go to. Choose "podcasts"
Here you'll find all of the available podcasts on the itunes music store.
Now, to answer your question. Podcasts are audio files, and sometimes audio and video files created by everyday computer users that have something to say. They can and are about any subject. They are a free download from iTunes.
Think of it as getting your message out to the world. Whatever that message is, you now have a megaphone aimed at the world. All you gotta do is make it interesting enough for people to want to listen.
You create Podcasts in the Mac world using the iLife '06 suite. In garageband and iMovie and publish them with iWeb.
    Hope this answers your questions.

You can't delete "other".  The operating system is part of other.
There is an application that will give you a graphical display of the file sizes on your system.
    You can get it here:

  • Moving websites - what about my podcast?

    Hi Guys...
I made my website www.bradclark.co.uk in iweb and added a podcast.... a few questions.
1)? I want to make a new site........if I make a new site is there a way of preserving the podcast from my old one and putting it into my new website.
    2) if i delete my original site, will it dissapear from itunes?
    cheers guys.

I don't know about the iTunes part of this, but if you Create a new site in iWeb you should be able to shuffle pages around between the sites. (On the left hand side where the sites show up as little blue or red circles, just drag the podcast page down to the new site)

  • What, if any, podcast info is permanent in iTunes (vs. author control)?

I successfully submitted a podcast to ITMS. I'd like to make some changes to how it shows up in ITMS, image, meta data, etc. Is there anything that, once submitted and approved by ITMS, cannot be changed by the submitter? For example, the category and sub-genre, etc., and/or anything thing else? Also, how often does ITMS reconnect to the .xml feed file on one's server? My podcast graphic file and the one .mp3 episode have changed, and while the podcast and episode shows up in ITMS -- the meta data and graphic haven't been updated, and the episode no longer plays. Thanks.
    Bob

    Hi Bob,
I am currently not able to locate my podcast using the search in the iTMS. I have since edited my XML file to include the "keyword" tags and still it does not work for me. How long did you have to wait until your editing was implemented???
    Thanks

  • HT200124 what is the podcast producer server?

I am trying to set up my Podcast Capture....it is asking me for "podcast producer server"?

Are you running into a situation where the difference in time between producing an event, and consuming it, is actually causing your problems?  If not, this is not a question worth worrying about.  Use whatever is most appropriate for your application.
There's no need to make wild guesses - build a VI, benchmark and test!  The attached is a reasonable starting point, although I think the event structure may be slow due to setup time but may respond quickly once running.  If you experiment with this, you'll probably find that there's no definite answer to which is fastest.  Changing the size of the RT-FIFO, or of the queue, makes a big difference in speed.  At least in my testing, a single-element RT-FIFO is fastest, but an infinitely large queue is faster than a small queue, and a longer RT-FIFO is much slower than the single-element version.
It's important to realize that RT is not another word for Fast or Efficient, it's another word for Consistent.  For the purposes of real-time (deterministic) execution, it doesn't matter how fast the RT-FIFO functions are so long as they execute in exactly the same amount of time, every time (with the exception of a "forever" timeout value, of course).  You can use either a standard queue or an RT-FIFO to communicate between loops.  One use for an RT-FIFO is when a time-critical loop is enqueuing the data.  It guarantees that the amount of time needed to put data into the FIFO will not vary.  Enqueueing data in a standard queue will sometimes be faster than other times, depending on whether there is already space available in the queue or space needs to be allocated for the new element.  If this variation is unacceptable, then use an RT-FIFO; otherwise, the standard queue works just as well.
If the architecture shown in your image is working for you, I don't see any reason to change it.
EDIT: oops, almost forgot to attach the code I used for testing!
