What's replaced Go Live? Anything?

Previously, I could make slices in PS and then click a handy button that would move my file into Go Live! (or maybe it was ImageReady?) where I could turn layers on and off to create different states for buttons and graphics before exporting a working HTML file. This handy button has disappeared and some quick research told me the program was discontinued two years ago. I'm not a programmer and don't use Dreamweaver, so this is how I used to create quick mockups of web pages to demonstrate rollover effects. What's the new method for doing this? Is there any similar function in PS CS3?

Fireworks. (It is not a new method for those that have been doing it for years.)
What you are describing is called 'prototyping'. You can google for 'web prototyping' to find examples of workflows.

hi the older button could be set to either "force portrait mode" or "silent mode". now you can do both in the iOS control center (swipe from the bottom of the screen), so the need for a button isn't needed anymore.

My 24" iMac (2007/2008) display is "going yellow"...what needs replacing?

Everything else is working fine. There appears to be "wave of yellow" in the display and limited brightness...
I do a lot of graphics work, and this is distracting...
How do I get it back to a nice, clean crisp white display? What needs replacing? Video card?

Yes, I tried doing all those normal things.
If someone was not used to this computer they might not have noticed although it certainly does not "pop"
I noticed it being dingy as soon as I turned it on and I also have another 24" next to it. There is a big difference.
I suspect the seller was getting rid of a leon.

The handler layer as provided in JHeadstart before ADF existed, has now been replaced with ADF databinding layer. Whereas in the pre-ADF days, you would add custom methods to JHeadstart handlers, you now add these methods to the application module impl class, and then you can drag and drop these methods onto your page or struts action. The ADF binding layer will ensure that your method gets called correctly.

Have you upgraded to Mavericks? (We have heard from only one Mavericks' user who has Encore working.)

I think Adobe needed a rationale to present publically, and that was theirs. There is clearly a very significant number of users that are a) event videographers/editors who must deliver DVD/bluray to clients and b) hobbyists who want the disk format for themselves and to share. My favorite guesses are a) that Rovio's takeover of Sonic/Roxio voluntarily or involuntarily squeezed Adobe financially or b) they don't want to invest the dollars in other aspects of fixing/upgrading Encore.

Replacement for Live Motion?

I used Adobe Live Motion on my old mac but can't on my new MacBook Pro, has anyone any suggestions for a simple replacement?
Live Motion was easy to use but am not sure about the new products.

Motion (bundled with FCS) has all the capabilities of LiveType and much, much more.

I have downloaded PS Element 9 Free Trial but do NOT see the Automatic Organization by Date that Album Starter Edition 3 had .
This was great because I could find pictures i loaded by the Year , Month , Day in a Calendar form that I liked .
What program replaces that ???

The timeline and calendar view are both present in Photoshop Elements. Look under the Display menu in the right for Calendar view; the timeline command is under the Window menu.

You either have to Upgrade your previously based PPC App to a new Mountain Lion compatible version, OR you need to make a backup of your internal hard drive to an external drive, then erase the internal hard drive and reinstall an older version of OS X that can run PPC based Apps (basically OS X 10.6.8 or before). That's about the extent of your options.

If your machine does not meet the tech specs for an application, the application will not be listed/offered in the manager. In this case Premiere Pro CC is a 64-bit application and your machine is 32-bit.

The replacements are now refurbished 6Gs. A few poeple got refurbished 1Gs back, but the limited supply of those was exhausted quickly and they are NOT refurbishing the ones they are getting back (they are using them for parts on later gen nano), so you are getting refurbished 6Gs.
Great if you like the 6Gs, but stinks if you would have preferred to keep your beautiful 1G... (I would have opted to keep mine. Cannot wait to see what hideous color I get... probably orange or boring-as-**** silver.)

What happened to Firefox Live Chat support? This is not Live Chat, yet, this is the most relevant link I'd found, and this is NOT Live Chat. Don't you think that if Live Chat had been discontinued that the most relevant links would be to posts asking what the hell happened to it?

I think there weren't enough volunteers available to staff live chat, and given the choice of how to allocate resources, the knowledge base and forum were given priority because they reach many more users through search engines. Lately volunteers have taken to Twitter.
