What's so great about iOS 4?

I downloaded iOS 4 to my 3GS several days ago. Other than being able
to combine similar apps into categories I don't see anything special about
it. Maybe there's an advantage on an iPhone 4 that I can't appreciate.
I've had no problems and can download some apps I couldn't before,
but nothing earthshaking. Now I have to individually close each app
I use, when I never had to before. Seems like an unnecessary waste of
time to me, unless a person is a huge multitasker. I'm certainly not.
I hope to get an iPhone 5 when it comes out. I hope iOS 5 is better
than 4, as I see no advantages over 3.

If you don't see any advantages whatsoever with iOS 4 over iOS 3, it will probably be the same for you with iOS 5 over iOS 4.
Here are the primary differences. If you don't make use of any of these, then you won't see any advantages.

It is likely you are running some out of date third party so-called "system maintenance" application that is corrupting the very preference or cache file that runs that feature. Resume can be controlled in the item highlighted in red below in Apple menu -> System Preferences -> General if the system is otherwise functioning as it should. If it isn't, someone needs to help you isolate what's wrong:

Completely agree. Another thing you may see is faster run time because of optimizations. That's I'll I could think of.
There's also internalization. In Python 3 Unicode is the default for strings, which is great for me, as I'm not American. Python 3.0 and Python 2.6 are essentially the same, but I see the first as a refinement of the other.

What is so great about Lion?

It seems as though Lion is mainly for macbooks and ipads? Otherwise it seems the features aren't really warranted for desktops? Any good reasons for upgrading from a well working Snow Leopard?

Lion does not work on iPads. Lion works only on Mac computers - all of them, not just MacBooks.
There is no particular reason why you should upgrade from whatever version of OS X you use, if that version's features suit your needs.
But I use Lion on all my desktops - iMacs and Mac Pros, and I fail to see the logic of your remark. Lion on a desktop Mac is really not much different from Snow Leopard.

I then did the reset on the phone (erase all data... from settings) and it went through and activated and everything was good... I used the phone for about a month with no problems at all, even had my apple ID in the icloud and everything... well ios 7.0.6 came out and I used my computer to restore the phone, because I feel that the cord and computer gives it a better restore, it did great no problems, and when it went to the part where I went to activate the phone, I get a enter your apple id and password to complete activation... Wait... why is this up i thought, I thought I did everything like I suppose to to succesfully switch it to me, the new owner... but now its asking for some C******@yahoo.com.... I only have @gmail.com emails and none start with a C... The guy sold me the phone because he was switching to Verizon, and I tried to call him, and now the number is disconnected... I guess he switched to Verizon with a new number... Now im stuck with a paperweight that costed me $200.00... What can I do at this point... Please help me... I restored it to give it to my Step Son as I just got me the iphone 5... Thank you for ANY HELP in advance... Thank you again.

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

The iPhone has a hardware problem - with the battery or something else.
The iPhone includes a one year warranty. If purchased new in October of 2012, it remains under warranty. Call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

My ipod touch 5th gen camera keeps on crashing. I can't use it properly because before I can click on the camera button, the screen will go dark and then will go back to home. What can I do about this?

so I've been using my ipod touch for three months already. Then I noticed that the more I use my camera, which is not very often, I only use it to snapshot wonderful events in my life, the more "crashing" becomes often in my ipod. There are several times that I will repeatedly click my camera button just to open it as it keeps on crashing. my software is up to date, iOS 6.1.3 and I thought that updating it and restarting it will do the trick. Also, the panorama feature of my camera is kind of defective, It's very dark and the images keep in getting ragged on edges. Like it's been cut with sheers or any sharp material. What can I do about this? Is there any way for me to get this fixed?
