What's the address to download Adobe Media Player?

I want to have web visitors download Adobe Media Player to view my FLV files. What address should I use? When I search for it - I get my account. I don't want to give them access to my account. The other locations I get aren't Adobe. What url should I use?
Thanks!

    Hi..
Assuming you are using Safari ...
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure to uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin first.
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

  • Is there some way one can change the port used by Adobe Media Player?

After I installed Adobe Media Player I am unable to access my IIS web site. Is there a way to hook-up Adobe Media Player to another port? I guess the problem started after installing Adobe Media Player.

Because I've my original response I've been getting email updates about this topic and decided to install Adobe Media Player and test myself.
On my main system (Windows XP SP3) IIS is not blocked when installing and running Adobe Media Player.  I suspect your problem may be related to something else entirely.  (Flash Media Server or frankly any other httpd could cause the issue you're experiencing).  (I can watch videos with the player and concurrently debug websites using http://localhost, http://localdomain:80 as well as http://localhost:80
I'd try to pin down exactly when the problem started happening and see what was installed.  It's also worth noting that there are a lot of malware programs that monitor / intercept and direct traffic on port 80, this can cause all sorts of havoc on XP with IIS.
If you happen to find that it is indeed Flash Media Server, their forums are here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash/flash_media_server
    Just my 2 cents

  • What are the possible reasons for adobe flash player crashing constantly?

I utilize mixcloud, soundcloud, and podomatic on a daily basis, and recently have been having problems getting these three to play.  I'm not certain if there is a clash between the various plug-ins within my mozilla firefox browser.  The error messages that I have been receiving sometimes acknowledge the problem as a adobe flash player error, a shockwave flash player error, and sometimes as a flash blocker being enable in my browser, which keeps me from receiving any audio playback and the music from downloading onto the page. I'm constantly being asked to reload the page, or request a crash report. Has anyone encounter this problem?  Help!

Uninstall BOTH Flash Player and Shockwave using the Control panel.
Reinstall both using Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
    and http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
    Reboot
    In Firefox, click Tools>Addons
Check to be sure BOTH plugins are enabled and the LATEST version

  • What was the latest version of Adobe Flash Player for PowerPC. And where can I download it.

It`s all said in the headline. Hoping for an answer.
    Thank You

You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC (G4 or G5) Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, try the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the version 11.5.502.55:)
Download this http://scriptogr.am/nordkril/post/adobe-flash-11.5-for-powerpc to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • Error Message When Trying to Download Adobe Media Player

I can not download Media Player. I've tried using Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. I receive an error message that says . . . "Sorry and error has occurred. The application could not be installed. Try installing it again. If the problem persists, contact the application author. Error # 2032". I called Adobe customer service who informed me there is no technical support for Media Player. Anyone have this same problem?

Yes, I have had the same problem but I don't know what to do for it. Did Adobe customer service tell you what to do for the problem? It's to late at night for me to call, no one is at the customer care center now. If you could please tell me if you got the problem fixed and if so what did you do to get it fixed??
    Thank You

  • What is the PROPER plugin for Windows Media Player 12 - Prompt leads to WMP 11

Is the plugin for WMP 11 the proper plugin for the WMP 12 64 bit system?
Is this WMP 11 plugin the version of the plugin itself or for WMP Version 11?
One web cam I tried to view said it needed this plugin, it wouldn't download; said to do it manually. When I tried it listed the Windows systems w/bit system information and Windows XP SP2 (x86)
    Windows XP SP2 (x64)
    Windows Vista (x86)
    Windows Vista (x64)
There is nothing offered for Windows 7 at all, much less for this 64 bit system as it does for the two above systems. This is very unclear, and with so many problems posted all over the Internet.... and having lost graphic card ability and later memory burn out on last computer due to this same issue in Vista, I would really appreciate the proper plugin information relating to this issue so I can safely use my computer.
Who creates the plugins?T Firefox or Microsoft? How can this problem go on for so many years unresolved? Thanks for your insight.

You need a 32 bit Windows Media Player and a 32 bit plugin for it.<br />
I don't think that the WMP plugin will work with a 64 bit WMP version.<br />
Firefox is 32 bit as well.
The WMP plugin that you found works with WMP 12.

  • What are the best settings for Adobe Media Ecoder?

Hello, I have this animation done in AE and woild like to export it as GIF but when using Encoder  I get an animated GIF file that is just way to heavy. I've tried a few different settings but actually just made it worst.
I also tried opening the video in Photoshop but when large files it gives me an error and can't continue to save the GIF.
I would appreciate any help, thanks!

There are many threads in this forum on crating GIFs with After Effects. A few forum searches (or Google searches) should turn up some useful tutorials.
It's not recommended to use AE to create a GIF. The normal process is to render a video out of AE and import it into Photoshop to create the GIF. Again, there are tons of tutorials and forum threads about this. Find them if you're still having problems.
If you need help figuring out your issue, sharing the error message you are getting in Photoshop would be helpful. (Also other information such as exact version number of AE and PS [including the decimal points], your computer specs, file formats, codecs, etc. would be useful.)

  • I don't have the authority to download Adobe Flash Player. I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials. HOW DO I FIX THIS?????

I go to download this and it goes it install but then gives me error message: don't have authority to download.

Hi Lezotte, are you using this site for the download: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
This page also has a download for the latest player (but I don't know whether it will work any better): https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Would it be possible to capture a screen shot of the message you're receiving, or give the exact wording (so it's easy to search)? • Adobe Media Player download stalled

I've been trying to download Adobe Media Player. I go through all of the password entering and let it install Adobe AIR as it said it needed that to support the player. The download window comes up saying it's "installing application" but the progress bar doesn't even start. Is there a way to download the installer and install the program manually? Has anyone else run into this problem?

I've got the exact same question!
Also, what is the latest version of Adobe Media Player? I have version 1.1? I saw a google result tht said version 1.7?
    What version do you have?
1.1 on my mac says it can't play any of Adobe's content. I've had it open all day and it hasn't notified me of any available updates. Using the help menu sends me to a 404 page on help.adobe.com
If I visit this page: http://www.adobe.com/products/mediaplayer/
and click "GET ADOBE MEDIA PLAYER" all it does is launch the version I already have instead of letting me download the file.
