What's the best/quickest way to........

....make a copy of a CD, and import it into iTunes?
Let me explain. I bought a new CD. I'd like to make an exact duplicate to beat up in the car, preserve the original in case I need to do this again, and also import to iTunes as an AAC file to save HD space. I know I can import the CD as an AIFF, burn the disk from these files, convert them to AAC, then delete the AIFF files. Seems like a lot of work.
Is there a better/quicker way to do this????

I'm not sure it'll speed things up for you, but I've got my preferences like so:
Advanced/Importing/ Import Using: "MP3 Endoder" and Setting: "Higher Quality (192 bps)"
Advanced/Burning/ Disk Format: "Audio CD"
I can't really hear the difference in the resulting Audio CDs, I don't have to go back and delete or convert files, and I don't have to change the Preference settings back and forth unless I want to burn an MP3 CD (rarely, now).

Start-up Magazine Advice on what is the best/cheapest way to produce this with DPS

I am designing a magazine (for distribution on the Apple Newsstand or as a standalone app) I was wondering if any one had any advice as to which would be the best way to go about publishing - as far as what package to buy to distribute it.
I am trying to find the most cost effective way to get this published as this is a test magazine and if he likes his results then he plans on doing between 4-6 issues a year.
My thoughts are to create a single app for the Apple store, see the results, and if they are positive then go ahead and create it for the Newsstand and purchase a bundle of downloads. It seems to be cheaper and more cost effective for a project that he is not even sure he will be continuing. Does anybody have any pros or cons to this?
As far as I understand it if I subscribe to the Creative Cloud, then I will be able to create a single edition app to distribute on the app store? And from what I have read the cost to create this app is free?
If I subscribed to the creative cloud does that come with a certain number of fulfillments to start with?
I have requested a consultation from Adobe with these concerns for over a week now and they have yet to get back to me so I figured I would ask the people who actually have experience in this.
ANY advice/suggestions for this is GREATLY appreciated!

What's the best, fastest way to obtain a Iphone 4 now.

I was going to wait until march to get iPhone 4 because I would have to pay 499 or 399 for the phone up until march. My wife can upgrade now for 199 even though we bought the phones the same day. Anyways things changed yesterday when I sold my 3GS for 350 bucks. Today I give up my 3GS to the buyer and I will be stuck using a cheap temporary phone until I can get 4. so today Idid something I never would do normally and that is wait in line for the 4. Anyways after three hours of getting no where behind 500 people I had to leave. What's is the quickest way to get a phone now? Preorder? AT&T faster then apple store? Should I go back to the apple store this evening? Is there any chance they would have some left? Anybody have any ideas?

To be honest I would order online and have it sent to your house. I got mine yesterday after ordering it through Apple.com. July 14th would be quicker than waiting for the store to get a few in here and there. Good luck and just my opinion.

Brief description of the problem: Right, now I am working on an application which has a java frontend and oracle
backend. We have no access to the java code at all. So, it is a complete blackbox. . Just wondering, if I could go for a schema level trigger to know, which columns of which tables are altered upon some action at the frontend. Or, if I know the tables specifically, say tab A and tab B; Should I go for a row level trigger on them, instead of going for a
schema level trigger. Which approach will be the best? If possible, would you please point me to some code samples
for both of them.

What is the best practice way of stopping a sub-domain from being indexed?

I notice that a client site is being indexed as both xxx.com.au [their primary domain] as well as xxx.PARTNERDOMAIN.com.au.
I have Googled quite a bit on the subject and have browsed the forums, but can't seem to find any specific best practice approach to only having the primary domain indexed.
One method that seems to be the most recommended is having a second robots.txt site for the sub-domain xxx.PARTNERDOMAIN.com.au with Disallow: /
Does anyone have a definitive recommendation?

Sorry I assumed they were two different sites, they are the same "content" just two different URLs?
Canonical links will help but it wont stop or remove you being indexed it only adds higher index weight to the Canonical linked URL. Plus only search engines that support that meta tag will work.
You essentially need two robots.txt to do this effectively or add the META TAG if you can split the sites somehow.
There is a more complex way, you could host the second domain somewhere else, use htaccess or similar to do a reverse proxy to the main site to pull the contents in realtime, all except the robots.txt file. This way you could have two sites with only 1 to update but still have two robots.txt's

I've done this for a few sites, you are essentially adding a middle man, it will be a tad slower depending on how far the two servers are apart, but it is like having a cname domain but with total control.

What's the best (easiest way) to clear up voice recorded from far away?

I decided to record my professor during one of his lectures.
I sit in the back (power outlet~), and thus the voice is really muffled.
I figured I'd be easily able to clear up the sound later in CS6.
Sounds easy anyways, but for some reason, I'm not having any luck in it.
I've done much more complex restoration stuff (no where near pro, just ocd haha), but never worked with voice before.....
Any ideas will be helpful. Pretend like I've only used audition for a few days.

I would like to use the first way, but is the GetByKey fast and how much will the call "System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(usertableMD) " slow down ?

I think that opening a recordset is not the optimized SAP solution, and anyway, you'll have to release the recordset

What is the best two way storage solution for the iPad Air?

Is there a way of connecting two way storage expansion to my iPad Air?
I would like to copy video and photo files to my iPad, edit them and then save back to the external device in their edited form.
Or, am I being a bit naive?

There is no external storage you can directly connect to natively both read and save files. Some drives, such as the Seagate solution Alfred mentioned below, have apps that can transfer files to and from their external drives, but such transfer is pretty limited, so read up on it's capabilities before purchasing. You could also consider either one of the cloud-based solutions; iCloud, Dropbox, etc, or transfer the files to and from your computer via iTunes.

What's the best quality way to download video taken on my iPhone 4s to iMovie?

Looks like my only options are to email, message or send to YouTube. I want these videos taken to be put in iMovie. I thinking the quality and size of the video file is decrease by emailing it to me.

Another thought. Might this work?
1. Backup my iPhone to my MacBook (instead of iCloud)
2. Sync my iPhone with my new iTunes library (it would now be associated with the MacBook)
3. Restore my iPhone from the backup in step 1 (would this re-associate my phone with the old computer, or would it stay with the MacBook?)
4. Do the restore a second time (to put the apps back in their proper order/arrangement)
5. Sync my iPhone with the music library on the MacBook
6. Set up the iPhone to backup to iCloud again, as it was originally
I don't want to just try it and lose my data. Is this a viable option?

I have installed the OWF in the database and we can use it from OWB. We can follow the executions from OWB designer or browser.
I think there are other options I have read about:
- EM, but I cannot find a link pointing at WorkFlow.
- Workflow Monitor (installing http server 10.2 and configuring a DAD...), but I wouldn't like to install a 10.2 http server in a new database server unless Workflow Monitor brings something worthwhile.
How do you usually administer/monitor workflows in 11.2.0?

We have used the browser, but it's very limited ... and not too fast...
We were looking for a more complete tool to administer workflows, and don't know if it would be the Workflow monitor, or if in 11.2 there would be another better tool to do it.
