What's the easiest way to run a mainstage sound without the laptop?..midi sampler rack?

Heya Guys!
I use just ONE logic/Mainstage sound live. From the EXS25
I would like to use this live WITHOUT having to take the laptop onstage or on tour with me for that matter.
I used to run Korg keyboards but MISS the mainstage/logic sound.
So can i export the patch into a logic supported sampler rack mount and run it with a cheap midi keyboard?
Any other options??
my reasons are, everythings getting trashed onstage. smashed laptop screen and now a dented up Korg keyboard.
I would love to take JUST a cheaper style midi keyboard onstage.
would love any suggestions

EXS24 is a sampler, so a sound from that could be imported into a hardware rack mount sampler.
BUT, this is not just an export-import move.
Depending on what sound you are using, and how complex that sound is, it could take anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours to transfer the sound to another sampler.
Some sounds only have a single sample covering the whole keyboard, but some of them have many many samples, mapped to different key ranges and velocity layers.
There are programs, like Translator Pro from Chicken Systems that can do this transfer, but you may not want to invest in a program like this just to transfer one sound.
What sound are you wanting to use?

Easiest way to run a single IE app on a Macbook

I use a Macbook Pro for teleworking. There is a single application that I need for my job (WebTA) that runs only on IE. It's the time and leave application for federal workers, and I have confirmed with my office's IT department that it only runs on IE. What would be the easiest and cheapest way to run this app on IE on a Macbook? Thank you.

If you must have IE for access to this application there are few choices. Google for Crossover, it claims to be able to run IE without Windows installed on a Mac, but you will still need to provide a copy of IE.
Ask IT why Windows is required, does this site use specific Windows services (ActiveX etc), if not you may get it working in another browser (FireFox/Safari etc)
If you're trying to access the Dept of Commerce (WebTa) site, I believe you'll need Windows and IE

What is your favorite way of running 32 bit apps in Arch64?

I'm curious as to what methods Arch64 users use to run their 32 bit applications and what is your opinion on them.
I myself relies mostly on lib32 packages to run a few applications that I need (mostly flash & wine), which works quite nicely expect it makes my system feel a bit 'messier'. chroot looks like a nice option but I've not tried it out yet (it looks complicated to setup to be honest).

What 's the meaning of "sample rate =-1" when to use the CAN init.vi?

I saw a kind of use to CAN init.vi where The mode = "output recent" and the sample rate = -1. I check the NI CAN help document, it seems that the sample rate must be large than 0 when the mode = output recent. So,here,why the sample rate can be -1? What does it mean?

I found that it is different whether to use "-1" or ''0" to sample rate. In CAN init.vi, there is an input parameter filepath which is used to load the ncd file or dbc file. The ncd file can't set the sample rate of CAN message, but dbc file can. When I use sample rate = -1 and dbc file , the period(=1/sample rate) of CAN transmission equals the Sample time defined in dbc file and is not determined by loop time in LabVIEW programm. But when I use sample rate = 0, the period of CAN transmission equals the loop time in LabVIEW programm. So I guess the period of CAN transmission is determined by the Sample time defined in dbc file when use sample rate = -1. Is that true?

how do you deal with this normally?
we until now do not have any clustered JMS server in our production system since our JMS clients are always configured to access single points (single JMS servers) we nowadays do it like this:
turn off all producers to the JMS server
wait some time till all messages have been consumed
stop JMS server
delete his file store
boot up JMS server again (clean)
start producers again
since we are planning to rollout a conv cluster with 15 nodes (brokers) and with severel cross referencing clients (clients are configured to use up to 3-5 servers for ensuring they are aleways served) we do not know how we would do the same for one cluster noedes of this cluster.
we can not do the exact thing as i mentioned above since i do not know which clients are at this time bound to which server.
any idea?

one thing i do not understand about your last post is:

what would this feature help me to drain a broker?
ideally for me it would be like that:
1)st quiesce a broker
2)nd kill producers (force them to failover)
3)rd wait till all messages are gone
4)th kill consumers (force them to failover)
stop broker.
so my "feature request" would be killing cxn due to what they are (consumers / producers / maybe all).
do i have to log an enhancement request for this to make your life easier?

Use the align palette and set one object as a key object. Choose align to: and set that to key object(if not already set)
Select one group
Shift click to add the next group to the selection
then click on an group again to set this as a key object (the outline will turn bold since CS4 to signify the is a key object)
choose an alignment in the align panel

I am having trouble outputing midi files from my Mac to my Clavanova keyboard. I am using a an XMIDI 1x1. When I use it on a Windows computers Window Media Players opens and it works just fine. I have also tested it in Midi Studio and it works. I just can't get files to play on my keyboard.

The deal with syncing contacts is that you either do so through iTunes, with a supported application on your computer, or over-the-air with something like iCloud. You don't do both at the same time. Doing so will create duplicates & a mess. As to whether one is better than the other, that's up to you. Over-the-air keeps everything in sync across all your devices, automatically, but relies on the stability of the iCloud servers. With your computer, requires that you regularly sync, to keep stuff updated, and that you maintain a current backup.

My HP laptop crashed and i had to install a new hard drive, windows 7, outlook, itunes, etc. i need to get my contacts, calendars and photos off the phone and into Outlook and My Pictures. Syncing seems unidirectional PC -> iphone and i think wants to wipe out the iphone 4s with whats on the laptop - which is nothing. Need help to do this right...

Run a dummy report without a database connection

hi,
I want to run a dummy report, so i dont want to connect to a databse. Is it possible to do this because when i create a report (report only contains some display items and some text fields but they are not connected to any table, and in the data model, there's no query created) in Report builder and run it Report builder always asks for username,password....if i cancel this then the report wont run.
Is there any other way to run a dummy report, without requiring a databse conection?

This is not possible with Reports 6i. It is possible with Reports 9i.

I don't use keychain (because I started using LastPass before keychain had the ability to sync among multiple devices and because I need to use multiple devices including Windows) so you may get a better answer from someone that knows more about it. That may be a problem with the VLC plugin. VLC has never worked for me properly on the occasions that I've tried it on Windows and Linux, so I have stop using it. There are usually other plugins or media players available that work better.
What kind of media files are that?
For WMP files you can install the new Windows Media Player plugin you can also try RealPlayer and QuickTime if it is about media that those programs can handle to see if that works better.
