What's the mA output of the iPhone 4s adapter?

I have a car adapter for an old flip-phone that has a built-in USB outlet... the info on the side of it says it's output is 5V DC (or 800 mA). I'd like to use it in the car to charge my iPhone 4s (and Rocketfish headset), but don't want to push too much power into the iPhone. Does anyone from Apple know if the output is compatible with what the iPhone 4s is designed to accept? Thanks.
Mike

amps are drawn not pushed
one can connect something which draw 500mA to a source which can provide 50000 MEGA amps and it would only get the 500mA it's made to draw
it's Ohms law
Amps=Volt/resistence
and in case you believed the 800mA was not enough then usb is std 500mA and charge iphones even if slower then the ac charger

What causes the iPhone 4S to shut down to a black screen when it has full power? I have cleared the open icons and it works for one day then shuts down again.

Software hiccup, glitch or maybe faulty battery. Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. See if this helps. If still problem that you think is serious enough to fix, all iPhone 4S have full Warranty. Make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

what is the iphone's first aid specs in case it got accidently soaked in water??

As I said it will lock to the first UK sim inserted .There is a chance as you appear not to have yet put in a UK sim it is not actually locked  but is useless outside the UK as it is looking for a UK carrier .
It is also not clear how it  would lock to Tigo and then not function
You could try contacting Apple if they have a contact in Columbia .
Apple care may tell you if and to whom the iPhone is locked to and then all you can do
is see the carrier's  criteria for unlocking assuming they do

using the dock connector, what is the iphone line out impedance?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Is your Powerbook one that has Optical in and out? If it is, then it has SPDIF ports instead of the usual minijacks of older Powerbooks. You can tell by opening Apple menu -> About This Mac -> More Info -> selecting Audio (Built-in). If SPDIF is mentioned, then you have Optical in and out.
If it is, then I found this interesting article which may help you out:

  • What is the iPhone "Other" capacity seen in iTunes?

What is the iPhone “Other” capacity seen in iTunes?

Other includes data such as iPhone settings, contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cache/cookies, email and email attachments, SMS/MMS/iMessages, notes, app data, Safari cache, cookies and bookmarks, stored passwords, search index, home screen organization, wi-fi network data, etc.  It should generally be about 1GB.  If it's significantly larger than this it contains something corrupt; restoring the phone should resolve this.

  • What is the Diffrence between Adaptive and Webi Job Server

    Hello,
What is the diffrence between Adaptive Job server and Webi Job server?
In my BO server we didn't have Webi Job server but we are able to schedule the webi reports successfully.
    Any Idea on this.
    Thanks,
    Nimesh.

I believe the Adaptive Job Server is on a generic shell server that behave as a Webi Job Server when it processes webi reports, as a program job server when it processes program object etc.

congratulations you successfully opened 1000 new threads...
adapters are components of the adapter engine, their main action is to connect different sysems with each other. therefore are different adapters:
SAP-2-SAP Adapters: like IDoc and RFC
    SAP-2-NOT-SAP-ADapters: like JMS, JDBC, HTTP..
    and B2B Adapters...
there are some rules in any board that you should accept:

  • What is the iPhone 4's DAC's bitrate output?

My iTunes library is completely 16/44.1 or 1411 kbps CD rips.
This is quite a problem because I can't fit all my songs in my iPhone because my files are pretty big...
I know the iPhone is not making use of the full 1411 kbps songs because of the stock DAC
I'm curious to know what the stock DAC of the iPhone is capable of putting out, I heard somewhere that it was around 320 kbps?
If I could find out, I can then compress all my songs to that quality so that the files are smaller while I technically don't lose any quality at all.
At the same time, I'd also like to know the stats on the iMac 27" 2011 and Macbook Pro 15" DACs because I actually have no idea what quality of music I'm listening to, and whether its worth buying a 300 buck 96/24 DAC for my CD records.
    Thanks in advance!

The iPhone and its DAC will support up to 24 bit, 48 kHz
raw audio (AIFF, WAV, etc.).  The quality of audio you hear will depend more
on what you are listening to the music with.
If space is an issue, simply import the songs as Apple Lossless.
There will be no loss in quality as the data is compressed in a
way analogous to how regular file compression is done, hence
lossless.  Depending on the song, the result can be a file 30-50%
smaller.  This is the format I use for all my CD rips and my LP rips.
As stated at the start, unless you are using very high quality
headphones with the iPhone, you won't hear the difference
between direct CD quality and even 256 kbps or maybe even
    128 kbps.
p.s.  Here are some audio tests done on the iPhone 4s

  • What are the iphone 5s wifi roaming thresholds? and are they settable?

I am looking for information on what parameters are used by Iphone5s to perform roaming decision? (signal power or signal quality or a combination of both)
What is the set value for each parameter?
Is it possible to change these parameters to avoid sticking to an AP with a weaker signal when in presence of an AP with stronger signal (both APs are part of the same network (sanme SSID, same Security type and key, same channel).

While the 5S gets the improved hardware.

  • What does the iphone have that the ipod touch doesn't?

i was just wondering what the iphone has that the ipod touch doesn't if there is anything. (Apart from the obvious phone and maybe the camera)

The ipod touch has most of the same functions as the iphone with the exception of the phone, the camera, and the gps (and any features that require those functions). My wife uses one as an ipod, a very nice device, especially if you are normally in range of a wifi network.

  • HT1212 What if the Iphone states it is disabled connect to I-tunes but you don't have a computer and the one you are using wants you to trust it but you can't because it doesn't give you the option on your phone because it is locked?

What if the I-Phone states it is disabled connect to iTunes and when you don't have a computer available that is sync with phone, but are using a different computer. You can't trust the computer from your phone because it is locked.  How do I gain access.

I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.
iCloud: Erase your device - Apple Support
This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.
