Please let me know the file format of the e-book that you are trying to upload & also let me know if there is any attachment with that or any java script implemented on that e-book?
Also, check your Internet upload speed at Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test as 545 MB is a big size to upload & it might take long time to upload depending on your Internet upload speed.

it totally depends on your hardware and flow design inside XI/PI

this size is not a lot for a "normal" XI machine but it also depends on the
volume of those messages - that is if you need to send
one message like that per day or 1000 per half an hour...

SAP's general recommendation is to use messages around 5mb
but it heavily depends on other factors so don't threat it as a must

I've imported and worked on Photoshop and tiff files up at 220 MB (8400 x 6600 pixels) in size. It does take some time to do any edits, up to 7 seconds for some. 220 MB is a big file but iPhoto handles it OK.
I do have a top of the line iMac with SSD drive so it's pretty fast. Other Macs may be slower depending on their configuration.

These two things need to be remedied in their upgrades because It's become such a bother I've had to revert to older versions of PS.

Yea, and it's a pain to get to. What was the rational for removing the print size button? With the magnifying glass tool selected in older versions of Photoshop you would get a button that says "print size" right next to Actual pixels, Fit Screen, Fill Screen. Now I have to go out of my way and dig for it if I want to see the print size. Of all the buttons you could have taken away, why not fill screen? I never use that.
Besides the point I just downloaded the Oct Upgrade for PS and surprise! Nothing has changed and these are two big black eyes on newer versions of Photoshop. The Brush preview window is unchanged in CC but in CC2014 it's basically worthless. If you apply a texture to a brush you can't properly see the scale of the texture, the spacing, scatter, etc...

I’m using Mavericks, and it’s still possible to select text to drag and for cutting and pasting. Left-clicking and right-clicking is still possible, too.

To right-click, ensure that your “Secondary click” checkbox has been checked; the small print under “Secondary click” is a dropdown menu which allows you to select the form of right-clicking that you prefer. (For instance, mine is set to “Click in bottom right corner”.) For left-clicking, is your “Tap to click” checkbox checked, or unchecked? (Mine is unchecked, since I prefer pushing for left-clicking over tapping to do so.)

What is the maximum size of indexed array that can be created during execution of while loop?

I am using a ring acquisition to take in images. If i write them as files in the loop, it slows down the acquisition unacceptably. Therefore i am converting image to array and storing the array until the acquisition is complete and then reading the array and converting back to image to save. The program sometimes runs out of memory (after a couple of minutes). Can anyone think of a way where i can store the array/images within the execution (without losing image information), without slowing it down and to avoid this memory problem?
I have included the VI.

When you build the array of pictures you do it using auto-indexing out of a while loop. That means that memory is aquired for a copy of the previous picture array and the array is rebuilt on every iteration, this is slow and requires a lot of extra memory.
If you want to speed things up try initializing a shift register with a 3D array of a size that will be able to hold a certain number of pictures, then replace the "pages" as new pictures are aquired, replace operations do not require copying of the previous array and will thus be much much faster. The difference is exeptional when dealing with large arrays/amounts of data.
Now, the shift register buffer could be built into a functional global, and you can add a push/pop logic to it so that you can have a p
arrallell loop that works on writing the elements to disk. You could use a que for this, but I think even though you specify a size limit to the que it still aquires memory as new elements are added (correct me if I'm wrong people...:-)), so a functional global acting as a circular buffer og fixed size frame for a que should be better.

Where is the "tools menu"? Many of the help topics say to go here, but I cannot find it. Searching help for it lists 1088 things, but all of the ones I looked at assume you can already find the tools menu. Where is it?

There really isn't more detail. What sequence of things do I click to find this "tools menu"? I am using Firefox 5.0.1.

Or put the phone in airplane mode as quickly as possible and then see if you can import the pics to the computer or do a iTunes backup.

Looks like we are running out of the maximum connections IAS 6.0 SP4 can open with the database. Where is the setting and how can we change it?

We are using IAS 6 SP4. We have 4 kjs engines and we see total 112 jre threads being spawned to database. The code is not able to open connection with the database when we go beyond 60 users (approx)
Any clues?

Hi,
Fine,Its always better to increase the Max pool Size settings to a large value corresponding to KJS's max thread value. Sometimes i had faced problems with Asynchronous database queries eventhough i increased the Max thread value of the Driver to a good maximum value.
If an application has a very large number of users who access the same data, then Setting the Database Cache's Maximum Connections to a large value will surely help.
I think its always better to have a clear database connection settings strategy ,considering your Complexity of your Application 'We are using IAS 6 SP4. We have 4 kjs engines and we see total 112 jre threads being spawned to database'.

Is there a maximum number of photos/albums you can sync to the IPAD?

I have tried for about 3 hours to get the pictures off of my computer to the IPAD (2800 pictures), It seems to just stop syncing at about 1000 pics.
Do I have to have them all in 1 directory or something. I am syncing with iTunes.

There are conflicting reports on this. A senior member of Apple is alleged to have said that it is limited to 16gb irrespective of the the size of the iPad. Many people have experienced a similar problem. Search this forum for previous threads.

Under certain conditions, an Open SQL statement with range tables can be reformulated into a FOR ALL ENTRIES statement:

Since FOR ALL ENTRIES statements are automatically converted in accordance with the database restrictions, this solution is always met by means of a choice if the following requirements are fulfilled:
1. The statement operates on transparent tables, on database views or on a projection view on a transparent table.
2. The requirement on the range table is not negated. Moreover, the range table only contains entries with range_tab-SIGN = 'I'
and only one value ever occurs in the field range_tab OPTION.

What you could do in your code is,
prior to querying;
since your select options parameter is ultimately an internal range table,
1. split the select-option values into a group of say 3000 based on your limit,
2. run your query against each chunck of 3000 parameters,
3. then put together the results of each chunk.
For further reading, you might want to have a look at the Note# 13607 as the first suggestion is what I read from the note.

This will sound inane, but I cannot figure out where to find the file size of my photos in iPhoto. I need a jpeg of a certain file size and image size for my blog background, but can't figure out how to even start.

If the limited quality options do not get you the file size you need export the full size image files to a folder on your Desktop and use Resize! to batch resize the image dimensions and file size (jpeg compression level) to what you need.
