What's the most stable browser for flash?
I play flash games and run several accounts at a time. I use Chrome at the moment, but have issues with it crashing 2+ times per day. What's the most stable browser platform for flash at the moment?
I have the latest updates and upgrades & a 15" MBP that should have plenty of power.
Firefox or Safari, in my opinion. I prefer Firefox, use Safari occasionally, and just have never given Chrome a real chance. I don't like the 'built in' Flash and PDF technology in Chrome.
Give Firefox a try - lots of support for it.

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008), Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz, 4GB Memory. and am currently running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
I would like to know which is the most stable upgrade for my model? Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite?
When I had gone to the apple care centre in India a few months ago to upgrade my OSX to Mountain Lion, I was told that considering my macbook pro's specs, upgrading it would just make it less efficient, and that I should stick to Snow Leopard unless I consider buying a newer mac that would benefit from it. Is this true? I find it a bit hard to believe. Which update is most recommended?
I also notice that my mac has gotten considerably slower. While using chrome, it buffers and struggles with even just 5 tabs open. Could this have something to do with my current ios? As a precaution, I have always been making sure I have enough free space on disk i.e around 70 - 100 free out of 250GB.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Mavericks is no longer available from the App Store, so your choice is Yosemite. One option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install the new OS, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything. By doing this, if you don’t like it you won't have to go though the revert process.
Check to make sure your applications are compatible.

What is the FASTEST Internet Browser for OSX? (2014 Edition)
What is the FASTEST Internet Browser for OSX? (2014 Edition)
I'm a tech junkie, I love everything about technology.. especially FAST and EFFICIENT technology..
I am currently using Google Chrome, and have nothing bad so say about it.. I like that I can "sign in" to Google Chrome pretty much anywhere (including my iPhone 5s), and instantly have access to all of my Bookmarks and Bookmark folders..
I have seen a bunch of benchmark tests testing a bunch of available internet browsers on OSX.. however, the results seem a bit inconclusive and varying, and some that even support the notion that Safari is now FASTER than Google Chrome.. I'm not sure whether or not to believe it, and I don't really have the time/energy to conduct a series of tests on my own..
What do you guys think? Is Google Chrome still considered the "fastest" when it comes to browsing/downloading?Has anyone used or have any opinions about Lightning? I found some positive reviews around, and granted they all mention it's unrefined, they all seem to think it is the fastest. Great as that may be, before I fork out the $2 I would like to get some more info regarding privacy and security.

What is the best web browser for iPad 2
What is the best web browser for iPad 2?
I have Mercury, Atomic, Dolphin and iCab. They all offer features that Safari does not have. If you liked the former mini windows view that Safari had in iOS 4, I think iCab would be a great choice. It offers something similar to that as well as tabbed browsing, DropBox support, it can identify as other browsers (I can't remember what that feature is called) and IMO - it blows Safari out of the water.
All of these browsers have more to offer than Safari, but I like iCab the best. -

What is the best alternate browser for the classic?
I would like to try an alternate browser and I see several available at the app store.
What is the best one?Hello,
"Best" is a terribly subjective term...best for one person could be horrible for another. I might suggest you provide more details of exactly the features and functions you are needing, and then perhaps someone could provide you with alternatives to try out.
Good luck!

What is the Best HD Program for FLASH on the web
I am looking for the BEST HD Video crunching software for hanging HD video on the web. Sorenson Squeeze 5.0?? Visual Hub?? Not using FULL HD, smaller than that because I can not capture FULL HD in FCP without too many obstacles and third party software. I will be exporting my HD as a QT MOVIE. I need a program to crunch that and still retain the best possible quality. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
you can also just encode to H.264 with the proper audio settings, and change the extension to .flv. Flash video players from version 9 up (if there is an up...) handle H.264 and AAC audio.

What is the most recent upgrade for Quicktime player for Mac OX 10.7.5
I have iOS 10.7.5 on my iMac. Recently my quicktime player won't play a slideshow created in Quicktime.
Can I upgrade my quicktime player application? If so, how?
Thank you. Mrs. DIt is installed along with OS X. The current version is 10.3 and is part of Yosemite.
Upgrading to Yosemite
You can upgrade to Yosemite from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Yosemite can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mavericks/Yosemite- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Yosemite
1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

...the most minimal (or least maximal).
ThanksI would probably say a clear case or smoke colored case. Search on the online Apple Store, you'll probably find plenty of each.

What is the most reliable modem for my Apple Time Capsule.
ooking at getting a new modem because my Router/Gateway (Arris DG960) is not translating my port forwarding from my Apple TC. I have done a lot research and the general consensus is that the best router is the Motorola SB6141. That being said over 75% of reviews that involved Apple TC's stated that they had a lot of trouble with it working with the TC. Most suggestions led me to the Zoom 5341J. It seams to have a much better success rate with Apple TC. Any other modems that I should consider? Anybody else own, experienced these routers? I am looking for a modem only, no modem/router.

3.1.3.6NAI thought the Motorola SB6141 was the best choice about 8 months ago when all the glowing test reports said it was best, and I had always had good results from their products in the past. So, it might be the best.
But, I tried 3 different SB6141s over the first week and none would hold an Internet connection more than 3-4 hours. Might have been a bad run....it happens.....but 3 trips to the store was enough, and Time Warner support said they had been getting reports of problems at the time with a firmware mixup on the Motorola, so I decided to toss a coin and try to get some work done.
I had no idea what to try next, but my wife was with me when I went out modem hunting.....and she liked the appearance of the Netgear CMD31T because she thought that it matched the AirPort Extreme nicely. Reason enough. It was "best" in her mind.
So, we tried a Netgear. Operation has been flawless since we plugged it in. Not one single drop that I know of in 8 months.....not counting a power outage during an ice storm.
The last time that I posted on a similar question to say that I had had good luck with the Netgear, it was only a few hours before another user trashed it, saying that the Motorola was the better product by far. And it might be. But, stuff like that is normal for the forums.
The Netgear might explode tomorrow, but I would probably try another if it did.
I have no idea what your results might be with any modem that you choose. -

What is the most popular reason for importing XML?
Hi
New to this feature, so I would like to know what people are using it for. Presumably the XML is exported from another application. I need to get some idea of which applications people are generally exporting from, and why. Brief examples of workflows would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
JasonAll databases support today export to XML.
For InDesign the items have to be transformed in a special order.
Upon import InDesign can attach a XML element to a specific style or element in the document.
This helps to import a huge amount of informative content in formatted styles. Such methods are used for example for exhibition guides where information comes often very late, but the structure is foreknown or for special medicine the package will be produced automatically upon the content.
XML makes sense when the structure is given but the content may vary. Think about it with catalogues, receipts, phone and address books or similar. Less for literature.
Other methods to get the same result might be InDesign tagged text, which could also be exported from data bases.
Or if someone is exporting IDML it is a package of XML files bundled together, zip compressed with the extension IDML. Here you can research a little bit how XML works with InDesign. -
What is the most powerful books for Windows server 2008 and R2?
Hi,
There are many books out there that cover Windows server 2k8 and its R2 successor but i wonder which ones to focus on. In the same time, all books are for one purpose, "Windows Server 2008". Each author has his/her own view on the platform. I don't
want to read them all just to avoid confusions and complications.
These are the list of books that i have along with books that i finished reading them:

Windows Server 2008 R2 Unleashed
Do you think the unfinished books worth reading?
Appreciate your help.Thank you for the reply. My goal is to read everything (ins and outs) about Win 2008 and R2 platforms before i jump into Win 2012. I have pretty good experience in certain roles in Win 2008 such ADDS and ADCS. As clarified, i've finished a good number of
books but i want to make sure that i didn't miss a single piece of information that maybe covered in another book.
Honestly, i find the Technet docs are informative but daunting. On the other hand, books written by authors are more friendly because authors can throw jokes while explaining a certain technology, which makes the reader more attracted to the topic. In addition,
examples, practices, labbing, and quizzes in the books are more fun. -
