What's This Email Under My Name/Profile Picture?

Hello All,
About 2 weeks ago I tried to IM someone using Skype. I typed in their email address and tried to IM them and from what I can remember I don't think it worked so I eventually gave up.
Now the persons email shows up on my Skype home screen, under my Skype name and profile picture. Here is a screenshot:
I checked my account settings (that's not the email listed on my account), Skype settings, etc. but I couldn't find that email or settings with that email listed anywhere.
Can anyone tell me why this email is under my name and how I get rid of it?
Thank you,
Jan

Obviously, by mistake you have entered this email address as your mood status update (Tell your friends what you're up to). Most likely, you have subsequently deleted this mood status update, as it is no longer shown under your name in the upper left corner of the Skype window.
You can delete this status update from your Home page by deleting the keyval.db file.
http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-archive/disable-mood-history/m-p/160696#M58969
However, this update might for some time be still shown on your contact's Skype Home page.

  • What is this email alert: TUI-AD: All AD agents are down for realm Windows?

I added our IT group e-mail to the Ironport S160 to be alerted when product keys are about to expire.  Our IronPort C160 e-mail filter does this but the S160 did not.
    We periodically get this email:
Subject: Critical <System> webfilter.domain.com: TUI-AD: All AD agents are down for realm Windows
    The Critical message is:
TUI-AD: All AD agents are down for realm Windows
Product: Cisco IronPort S160 Web Security Appliance
    Model: S160
    Version: 7.5.1-079
Serial Number: (removed for public posting)
    Timestamp: 24 Mar 2014 07:20:27 -0400
Any idea what this means?  Everything is working normally.  How can I stop this message?

Upon further investigation in services.msc on that server I see a Cisco AD Agent.  I did some digging on this service and its located in C:\IBF.
First why is it called IBF?
Second, whats in here is this:
    \adObserver
    \CLI
    \radiusServer
    \watchdog
    AD_Agent.Uninstaller.exe
    AD_Agent-version-1.0.0.32.1-build.598.IBF

  • I logged on to my account on apple and tryed to reset my security questions but i dont have the i forgot my security question send it to this email under my question and i dont know what to do

    help me

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Lync 2013 Profile picture extension

Our company recently switched to Lync 2013 and I noticed that under "Settings/My Profile Picture" there is no longer an option to specify a profile image. In Lync 2013 you could at least set a picture with less than 30kb that is hosted on a webserver.
The funny thing is I can use my Lync 2013 server account with the old Lync 2010 client and then I'm still able to set a profile picture (tested & woks). Seems as Microsoft just killed this feature in the client but not on the server (LOL!?!?).
I would like to write a tool to be able to set a picture without having to install the old Lync 2010 client. Any hints, solutions or something to read?

This question comes up more often. It's indeed just a user interface change between the Lync 2010 and 2013 clients, the option to set an image URL has been removed. Underwater this option is still available though, and you can publish a Photo URL to the server
from a user endpoint, or from a powershell admin screen as posted in GodEater's
    answer.
I answered with a description on how to publish photos using a user endpoint (wheter from client SDK or UCMA) here: Display
    User Picture in Lync 2013
The latest Lync update (Lync Client CU3 (November Update)) has the option to set a photo added back to the GUI.

  • I bought my I pod touch 3-4 months ago and I got this message all of a sudden, it said something along the lines of provisonal complete_Distrib... will expire in 30 days. What is this it's under setting-general-Profile should I be worried?

Unless you have a company or school iPod, that profile was installed by an app you installed. It is likely that the app will no longer function when that date is reached. You can Google the name of the profile and that may provide some more information.

  • I tried to register my stolen iPhone onto My Profile but it says that it's registered under another apple ID (which is not mine) What does this mean? Does it mean the person who stole my phone is using my phone under another Apple ID?!

    Hi everyone,
My iphone and Ipad got stollen yesterday...
I registered my Ipad onto "my profile" but when I tried to register my Iphone 4 onto "My Profile" it says that the product has been registered under ANOTHER apple ID. What does this mean?! Does this mean that the thief is using my phone under a new apple ID?!
I am getitng  abit paranoid because when I tried to download a new app onto my macbook pro, it says that someone had accessed my account from a new computer. I am so scared.. as I know that if they are able to access my apple ID account they can see my billing/card details. I tried to delete my billing address and card details on my apple ID account to prevent this from occuring but I can't. Please help
    Many thanks,
    Kim

You should change your AppleID password NOW. And if it says it was registered under another AppleID, the thief has probably done it.

  • In the lefthand sidebar of Finder, under 'Shared', I encounter in addition my TC, another computer, identified by a long name starting with 'hp'. I don't have another computer. What could this be? And how to get rid of it?

In the Finder sidebar, under 'Shared', I encounter my TC, as well as another item with a long name starting with 'hp'. 'Get info' shows it to be a 'PC'. However, I don't have a PC. It cannot be my printer (HP), since that has anoter name.
I can not access the item, which has me a 'guest'.
What could this item be? And how to get rid of it?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
    DB

It's almost certainly your hp printer and is showing the WiFi adapter MAC address after the HP.
To verify, look at the printer configuration page via Bonjour in Safari.  The settings tab shows the Mac address in the bottom left hand corner for my model of HP printer.
I'm sorry but I can't explain why that would show up in the finder.

All iTunes Store purchases remain permanently tied to the account that purchased them. Your device can hold protected content from up to five accounts, but updating apps from multiple accounts is more of an effort than working with a single account.

It seems that through firefox I cannot receive my emails through charter.net and have always been able to before. Also, on my facebook page, profile pictures aren't showing up on some people and on some people a totally different person is showing up. It seems to be a firefox issue because when I get on internet explorer everything is fine? How can I get this problem taken care of? Can my 8.0 be updated.

  • Somehow a new contact became associated with my email.  Now all my email has her name on it. This happens only on my iMac, not on my other Apple devices.  I have removed my email from her contact card and deleted her from previous recipients on Mail.

Check the settings in the Accounts for Mail.
Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Click on your email Account in the left column > What appears under Full Name in the right column?
If that is the incorrect name you're describing change it to your correct name.

When sending an email from my Ipad. I get "receipient was rejected by server because it does not allow relaying". What does this mean and how do I correct it?

On the email account's settings (Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and tapping on the account on the right), go into it's outgoing SMTP settings and try putting in your email name and password (they might currently show as 'optional')

If you are using an unsecured or shared wireless network, then it could be just another user's computer name. If your sharing settings are correct, you have no worry. However, It would appear that at least some of the other user's settings are less than optimal inasmuch as his/hers is openly being displayed.
The next time you check into a hotel and use their wireless network, you are likely to see a number of other user's computers. Some just the name, as they share no files. While others are wide open, and their file sharing is on.

  • Two unknown computers show up under "shared." What does this mean?

When I open a finder window, two computers that are unknown to me show up under "shared." What does this mean?
Does this mean someone has broken into my wireless network? Or that these people have access to my files? I don't want to be "sharing" anything with people I don't even know.

It means two of your neighbors also have a wireless network. They cannot access your computer unless you give them your userid and password.
Go ahead and try to access their computers. Unless they have guest sharing turned on, usually to share photos with family and friends, you will not be able to access their computers.
I’m on a university network and have hundreds of names in the Shared section of my sidebar, but do not have access to their computers, nor theirs to mine.
