What's this in plain numbers?

What is this in plain numbers?
int i = 0;
i |= 0x100;It's not just, 100, is it?

Do you know what 0x100 is in decimal ("plain numbers")?
Do you know how a bitwise OR works?

    Hi Kudunet,
Your Numbers 2.3 is still on your Mac, in a subfolder within Applications named iWork '09 or similar. You can use that.
If you've already opened documents in 3.0 and need to take them back to 2.3 just use this:

  • While performing travel sensor calibration get error code 1802. What is this means in plain language.

We are using NI configurator 3.1. On our DVC5010f fisher controllers we have replaced potentiometer.  While performing calibration thru NI we are getting error code 1802. Can some one explain in plain language what is this means and what can be done to fix this.

We have replaced potentiometer (Travel sensor ) on our Digital Valve Controller DVC5010F (Fisher). After Replacing this travel sensor, we were doing calibration using NI configurator software. During the calibration the software did not recognized the set range (variable) of travel sensor and gave us error code # 1802. These codes are accesible through www.ni.com web site. To get to listing of error codes. go to main page and in search block type in Fieldbus error code and select option 2 from several choices. these gives you listing of error codes. Code # 1802 derived from combination of error codes 0x0002, 0x0800 and 0x1000. These is where I am getting confused ...what is this? can some one explain this in simple term.

  • Images have ? symbol on the top right corner of the thumbnail  what does this mean and how do I remove it?

    Q - My images have a
? symbol on the top right corner of the thumbnail what does this mean and how do I remove it?
    A - The
? symbol is used to identify a file that Lightroom can no longer access; probably because it has been moved using OS drag/drop or Move command rather than Lightroom.
    Click the
? symbol will cause a small dialog will appear. This dialog will provide information as to where the file was originally located along with an option to find (Locate) it again.
As you'll quickly realise, clicking the
? symbol is fine for finding individual files that may have been relocated, but not for large numbers. There must be a better way
Look at the Folder panel (left side of Library module) and you should find that the folder/subfolder containing the files that Lightroom can no longer find are shown in Red text. It is the red text that Lightroom uses to help you identify a folder/subfolder that contains files that it has lost track off.
    On the Mac you should
Ctrl-click (right-click when using two button mouse) the folder/subfolder, a pop-up menu will appear. From the pop-up menu choose the command
Locate Missing Folder, a dialog should appear. The dialog gives you access to every hard disk connected to your computer or CD/DVDs if they're in the tray. Use this dialog to navigate to the location where the folder is now located, then select this folder (not the files). Finally, press the
Choose button and allow Lightroom to do its stuff.
The method described above also applies to the PC version although the dialog is called
    Browse for Folder and the
    Choose button is replaced by
    OK.
You can avoid getting into a situation were Lightroom looses track of your folders/subfolders by using a variation of above.

  • What is this Figure and... it's correct?

    2 questions:
    1) What is this figure (see under)? I want know what is the box (target_type) in which there is icon that I know. What is its function? How can I find it?
    2)  It's correct this for expert and excellent Labview programmer (see the Figure): to pass from cluster to merge signal?
    Thanks,

(I speak a not very good english, so If U are Italian LabVIEW expert speak in Italian, if U speak in Eglish... please speak easy )
My e-mail for personal contact: [email protected]_NO_SPAM_PLEASE

    From the Labview help :
data is the data to write to the .tdms file. This input accepts the following data types:
Analog waveform or a 1D array of analog waveforms
    Digital waveform
    Digital table
    Dynamic data
    1D or 2D array of:
    Signed or unsigned integers
    Floating-point numbers
    Timestamps
    Booleans
Alphanumeric strings that do not contain null characters
So your datatype is not supported. Which data do you want to save. Is it the waveform chart content?
Also a tip then you start a new Labview Session always enable "show context help" in the help menu (short CTRL+h).
    F. Schubert is also correct then he says not to use the "fancy" dynamic data wire. The whole Express VI concept is just some flimflam glued ontop of Labview with some cheap glue. Stay away from it and you will become a much better Labview programmer

  • Norton Firewall logging connections from usr/sbin/nmbd every 6 seconds...  What is this, and how can I stop it?

This whole situation first started with a complaint from my ISP that it appeared I had a trojan virus...  around 1100-1200 messages per hour were being run through their servers via my account.  I have also Anti-Virus enabled, so I was left scratching my head...
No viruses found on a full scan - so I started watching processes and connections.  This nmbd process is suspicious...  I don't run windows file sharing, nor have I ever.  This just popped up recently.  I also had two mac tech support calls, and one to Symantec - and it ran fine for a couple of days - but it's back again.
What is this, and how can I find the culprit, and remove it permanently...?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
    --Jeff

Thanks Thomas, appreciate the insight!  Thanks for taking the time to help me think through this...
I have reset the password  twice now...
It's only impacting one account, and the ISP says it's local to me - somewhere on my local network.
I do have a few devices on my home network.  The only one with windows is my macbook air running parallels.  I just use this to browse some web projects I work on (view in IE to make sure everything is looking like it should).
The passwords I have used both times - they were ones set by my isp - the type you can't remember, they seem rather strong (upper/lower case letters, numbers, symbols).  That's what leads me to believe it's also local - something on my machine.  And it only seems to be impacting one email account (I have 5 running in Mac Mail).
WiFi network is protected by WPA2 - just checked to be sure.  All good there.
Now, in Norton Firewall log - I can see incoming and outgoing connections via Windows File Sharing/nmbd.
The reason I feel/felt that this is related to the spam sends is that once I saw the number of connects, and roughly equals the number of sends per hour of spam - I stopped the process with the firewall and suddenly my isp says the spam sends stop. That led me to believe they are related. Perhaps this virus or malware has spoofed it's name and is identifying itself as nmbd?  I have no idea.  Just scared to turn it all off just yet.
I did notice that Moutain Lion does not run this...  (nmbd).
I did wonder about the Air sending something off of windows - but this all happened while it was off, laying on the desk next to me.  It rarely gets used unless I'm testing or traveling.
I can understand nmbd being useful part of the system, I cannot understand how it would be very useful if I didn't turn it on, it connects at that frequency, and I don't have file sharing enabled.  That's why I am hesitant to turn Norton off, and hope that everything just goes away.  I want to try and get this problem figured out as simply turning Norton off doesn't seem like I'm taking steps to eliminate the problem.  Perhaps Norton is causing other issues - and I'll be removing the software asap - but want to make sure the spam sends cease.
Let me know if that sparks any ideas...  Thanks again!

I just noticed a new volume, Mobilebackup. I appears to be a few days old, and appears to have the same kind of files that Time Machine does. It has backup files of two volumes (of four), and has one folder for the first day, and varying numbers of folders thereafter.

The build I have is the released build of Mail. I reinstalled it as directed and it didn't help. That indicates that the problem is with my version of OS X.
The build you have is the released build of 10.8.5.  You reinstalled it as directed and it didn't help. That indicates it is a problem with your version of Mail.
The above are examples of flawed logic.
Seriously now. Since you obviously don't know what a Combo Update is, I will tell you. A Combo Update is short for a COMBINATION of Updates. That means that there is MORE THAN ONE update in a Combo Update. It is, therefore, quite proper to speak of "one of the Combo Updates". For people whose first language is not English and are not familiar with its subtle nuances, perhaps I should have said "One of the updates contained within the Combo Update was"
"There aren't "versions" of the combo update, unless Apple releases a revision"?
This is plain silly. It means "There aren't versions unless there are"
Also I didn't use the word "version". See above for the explanation of what I DID say.

Don't bother replying, I won't come back to this thread, so I wont see it. Of course you'll get another phoney Help point, so I suppose you will, but I'll never know. Doesn't that mess with your head?
    Bye Bye
    What an attitude you have.
Erase your drive and reinstall correctly, stop messing about with incremental patches. The routine you need is BERR (backup, erase, reinstall, restore) or just stay as yu are, it is entirely up to you.

    Thanks for the update.
There are several Adobe Premiere Elements Forum threads about situation such as the one that you have encountered. Typically they are the results of some heavy activity in the narration track.  Some have found success in maneuvers between the Expert and Quick workspaces in versions 11 and 12 or Timeline and Sceneline workspaces in versions earlier than 11. That is why I mentioned that type of factor in a prior post in your thread.
If that is not working, then we are forced into the new project where the problems in the current project are not presenting.
I will do a search for the threads that I am recalling about your type of issue. But, right now all roads seem to head to the new project. But I would ask "Can you salvage this project by creating your narration clips in Audacity or a new Premiere Elements project and import them into this project, putting the clips on one of the numbered audio tracks?"
If the problem should reappear in the new project, please let us know including the details of what was going on immediate before the problem surfaced.
    Thanks.

  • What uses less ink, plain paper fast draft, or photo paper best.

What uses less ink, plain paper fast draft, or photo paper best.  I'm not looking for quality, just less ink used.  I also used photo paper, then selected plain paper fast draft.  Not great quality, as expected, but still looking to use less ink.  My guess is the plain paper uses more, because it is more porous. My printer is an hp Deskjet 2050.  My operating system is, 64-bit Intel Core I-7-2670 QM.
    Thank You for any assistance

The printer will put droplets of ink on the page based on what it detects the media is (for printers with "Automatic" as a paper type) or the specified media in the driver.
If you select plain paper, draft and print on photo paper it would use the same amount of ink as if you put in plain paper.  The results are likely to be very very poor if you do that, for several reasons:
The pigmented black ink is not compatible with photo paper, it will not dry properly.  When photo media is selected the printer will not use the pigmentd black ink even to print text, it will mix color to make black.
It takes much more ink to give proper photo settings on photo paper as compared to plain paper.  Using plain paper draft settings is likely to result in an unusable photo paper page, ruining a $1 sheet of photo paper to save a $0.20 worth of ink - not a good tradeoff.
If you plan to print a lot of photo's you might consider a printer that uses the HP Ink advantage subscription service.  This service is based on pages printed, and they count photo pages the same as plain paper, even though a full page photo may use 10x or more the ink of a plain paper text page.

i have an unlimited talk plan but I received a $40 long distance charge this month...no explanation, just says "long distance-Verizon wireless".  Nothing shows up in roaming...what is this??

Sorry for any uncertainty about your bill, vintagefaith77! I can see how it would unsettle you to see a charge you didn't expect. Although you may have unlimited domestic minutes with your plan, long distance charges occur when you make a call to a non-domestic phone number (international). It wouldn't be a roaming charge because the call was made from within your home calling area (the United States) to an international number.
I recommend reviewing your detailed statement for the call(s). Some 10 digit numbers can be dialed from your phone but still be international (such as calls to Canadian or Dominican Republic numbers).

I have just sought  to update my lightroom and am now unable to access the develop function and get a note stating that I have reduced functionality what it this about and how do I get my product back

    Hi there
I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these.  Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update.  I then  sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality  It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as  my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that.  I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.
Thank you for your prompt reply by the way.
