What's This Indicator?

Just downloaded software update and now have an indicator I've never seen before appearing on the phone in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator. Can't even really describe it except to say that it looks like a phone handset in the "hung up" position with two rows of dots under it. Anyone know what this is?

That's the TTY symbol - it means it got turned on. Go to settings and Phone, and then down to TTY. Click OFF.

  • What is this - Indicator: all account assignments ?

    Hello,
I want to know what this is - Indicator: all account assignments  on a/c assignment category screen on Purchase order. This is a checkbox with caption More.
How this checkbox turn on automatically while creating auto PO for sales order. If this is turn on then it brings new dialog screen --Coding Block with Business Area, Cost center and CO area.
Please let me know if there is any stuff in customizing which can help me to turn off this option.

It is just a virtual machine. It is not a tool, so you cannot do anything with it. But you can have a couple of benefits after downloading it.

  • What is this symbol? (arrow next to the "Battery Indicator"

Ok, a little arrow pops up next to my battery percentage indicator (extreme top right corner) sometimes it's there (to the left of the indicator), sometimes not. Sometimes it points directly at the power indicator (points to the right), sometimes it points to the right at about a 15 degree upward angle?!?!
    What is this thing!!!!????

The link I posted above, when opened on the iPad in Safari (after it opens in Safari, click the curved arrow and save it to the Home Page), opens a nice web page (iPad Guide) that works and looks just like the Settings on the iPad and describes and shows pix of the icons at the top of the iPad.
And it wasn't to "prove a point".
It was to help the OP.
Sorry Chris, but your post did say ". . . .this link shows examples ...", and the point I was making was that it did nothing of the sort. It's like you asking how to spell something and me providing a link to a dictionary; accurate, sure, just not that helpful. Besides, I thought I'd made it clear that I did in fact know just what the link was.

  • Nsurlsessiond - what is this and why does it use alot of data?

    Hello
    Firstly
I was in a public library, uploading to my dropbox account, and all of sudden my network speed indicator/ montior showed heaps of download and fast too.
but i was not downloading anything.
I was upping to my dropbox account.
In activity monitor i noticed this service was operating "nsurlsessiond"
    What is this service?
In my connection alert it tells me nsurlsessiond tried to establish a connection to apple-dnld.vo.llnwd.net on TCP port 80 (http)
Secondly, i was using my own wifi, and saw this nsurlsessiond service consuming heaps of data. Again I was upping to my dropbox account. About 1gb this time.
Now I have blocked communciation to "nsurlsessiond"
What is the impact of blocking such communication?
please see details of service in screenshot
Now after this experience, I am wondering is it apple policy to have communication from our macbook's to somwhere without us knowingly allowing it?  I thought apple was respective of our privacy, or has this changed?
thankyou for your help and time.

i couldnt say. it was just that i happen to be only upping, to dropbox, and then saw downloading on the monitor.
    that was triggered as odd.
i rarely look at what services are going on... only if my macbook slows down or something else odd.
in both cases i was only upping to dropbox.
i dont do alot with my macbook, other than upping to dropbox laterly.
thankyou for your thinking and help.

  • Technical data records? What's this???

    Hello,
    we are on BI7.0.
I have master data for customer. One customer has as a key 0101010101.
When I want to maintain this record it is only possible when the check-box "Display technical data records" is activated.
    Questions
    Why?
What is this for a checkbox? The online-help does not bring light on that topic. Any idea?

    Hi,
Let me take you back to the context help.  It says:
Some SAP BW components generate artificial characteristic values with corresponding SIDs. These characteristic values do not have master data or texts but only a SID and are called technical master data values.
If a characteristic does not have attributes and the texts of the characteristic are deleted, you have to set the indicator for subsequent maintenance (new entry) of texts.
The second paragraph makes it pretty clear.  If just the key characteristic value exists, and the master data table does not contain any attributes and there is no text maintained, then the characterisitc value becomes a technical master data value and will only be called up for maintenance if this flag is checked.
Why don't you try and maintain this customer's text and save.  Now run master data maintenance with this flag unchecked; you should be able to see it.
    Cheers...

  • What does this mean ---- load-on-startup 1 /load-on-startup

    Hi All,
Anybody please tell me what does this mean:
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    Thanks in advance
    amitindia

    From the dtd :
The load-on-startup element indicates that this servlet should be
loaded (instantiated and have its init() called) on the startup
of the web application. The optional contents of
these element must be an integer indicating the order in which
the servlet should be loaded. If the value is a negative integer,
or the element is not present, the container is free to load the
servlet whenever it chooses. If the value is a positive integer
or 0, the container must load and initialize the servlet as the
application is deployed. The container must guarantee that
servlets marked with lower integers are loaded before servlets
marked with higher integers. The container may choose the order
of loading of servlets with the same load-on-start-up value.

  • What is ' build indices' and ' drop indices' in a process chain

    Hello ,
can any one explain me ,In transaction loading process , in a process chain , after activating Data in DS object, what is ' Drop  indices'  and what is 'buid indices'
    Thank you .

    Hi,
These mostly deal with the indices in a cube. When you load data to a cube, if the indices are present, along with loading the fact tables and dimension tables, the index tables also need to be filled. This requires the system to search for the right location in the index to place a new transaction data row and hence slows down the load.
Inorder to speed up the loading, the indexes are first deleted, data is then loaded into the cubes,  and the indices are rebuilt. This is a much faster process than loading the cubes with the indexes intact.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards.

in the top right corner of my iphone screen there is a small padlock with a circle around it, what is this for and how do i get rid of it, it has just popped up...

That is the orientation lock indicator. It means that you phone will not go into landscape mode when tilted on it's side.
To turn orientation lock off double tap the home button, to access the multitasking menu, then swipe your finger to the right over the multitasking bar at the bottom and touch the big button on the left with the padlock.

    Hi Roberto,
    > Don't want to leave this question just hanging...
... but you did. You haven't added any new information. You won't learn any more about the panic from the panic log alone. William is by far the best at reading panic logs of anyone ever to have graced this list. He has actually contributed code to Darwin's kernel. I was thrilled that he posted on this thread because he is probably familiar with the code that throws a Machine Check error. He has indicated the it probably came from your USB driver or the memory controller.
You should be able to test your RAM with the hardware test disk that came with your computer. If that test shows no problems then you've probably connected a device to your computer via USB that is misbehaving. If a panic occurs every time you plug in a particular device then the culprit is obvious but if the panic hasn't reoccurred then it's unlikely that you'll ever find out exactly what happen this time.

Thunderbird 24.5.0 has a blue belt on imap, inbox, archives folder and one of 4 subfolders. What does this mean and can it be changed?

I see these on my Windows machine but not here in Linux, so I guess it's connected with the icon set available in your OS GUI.
Changing the theme may provide the result you want.Given that icons are OS and theme specific, it's hard to find definitive descriptions of their meanings. :-(
This [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Icons_-_Thunderbird_2 old article] is silent on this topic, whilst indicating how two major platforms are quite different in their appearance.

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A  ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup...

    Hi,
MC02M_ITM is mainly getting data from EKPO.
You can see that in Tx LBWE in the maintenance of the extract structure: you'll see MCEKKO and MCEKPO which usually relates to EKKO and EKPO respectively.
    hope this helps...
