What's this new update i got this morning all about??

I seemingly had to install a new update this morning and didn't know that it was coming or what it does. Does anyone know what it's all about??? I didn't see anything from VZW or the forum that we had an update coming. so far i did notice that the mail stayed on my Dinc after opening mail on the computer and it used to disappear off the phone once i opened it on the computer...

Download the full version of the software then shift click the restore button. This will ask you where the firmware files are. Once you point to the firmware then you can install the official version

What happened this morning, albeit briefly?

Being a newbie to BT BB, since July 12th I wondered what happened this morning when I was on the interne,t when suddenly I could no longer access any websites. My wireless connection was still there or so I thought but then noticed a yellow exclamation mark over my taskbar's connectionsymbol and when I opened the network centre saw that there was a red cross between my hub's icon and the internet's one.
I went into the other room where the hub is and all three lights were on, blue and stable. I restarted the hub and then in fact turned it off and on again and after a few minutes all lights were blue again and I had WiFi connection. During the period it was not working I also tried my smartphone to connect and this, similarly, couldn't find a WiFi signal.

with that limited information you gave me, it's quite difficult for me to point you in the right direction as i don't know the whole picture of your problem.
if you would insist so, i would say take up the ff courses:
1. Introduction to SQL/SQL*Plus
2. PL/SQL
3. Oracle Reports
3. Oracle Forms
4. Oracle Portal/Collaboration suite
5. etc.
and these will take you some time to accomplish.

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
iPhoto 8 (09) and earlier- run the options indicated
iPhoto 9 (11) and later- run Option #4 to rebuild the database
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager (iPhoto 8 or earlier or IPhoto 11 and later) and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the
File ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 8 or earlier)
or
Library ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 9 or later)
menu option to rebuild the library. Select the checkbox to include orphaned photos.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

First of all, look in the garbage. It's easy to move a folder there without knowing it.
Second, do a Spotlight Search (Cmd-Space), and search for a file you know should be there. If you find the file, there's a good chance that the other files you're looking for are there, too.
If you're in kind of a crisis mode, coming up with pat advice probably isn't a good policy - but I suggest investing in a backup drive in case anything goes wrong. A program like Time Machine can be a life saver.

I have been using extensions with V8 for several weeks and with last Firefox update this morning all are gone and I can't get them going again!

I installed V8.0.1 several weeks ago (or what I thought was V8.0.1) and got Awesome Screenshot (A.S.). Although it was stated that AS was not compatible with V8.0.1 I installed it any way and it worked. I have been using it every day until this morning. Another Firefox update came down this morning. Although I clicked the “Update Later” box, it updated at that time anyway. (This has happened every time I received an update in the past and clicked “Update Later” box, but that another problem; not the issue today.) After today’s update completed and I restarted Firefox. I check the version and it still was V8.0.1. All of my extensions were gone. I followed the instruction for re-enabling. All of the extensions were marked “disabled”. Only two of them had “enable” buttons (Garmin Communicator and InvisibleHand), both of which I didn’t load nor use. All extensions had “Remove” buttons. Is there any way for me to get A.S. working, I use it often. If not, how about “Screengrab”. That’s better than nothing.
I am using Windows XP Professional SP3.

There is a known issue where multiple instances of plugin container open if history or cookies are cleared. Are you, or some utility clearing firefox cookies or history, that could be the reason. This problem continues even if plugins are disabled in Firefox.
*Are you opening multiple instances of Flash Player ?
* Is the problem reproducible ? <br/> for instance does it always crash the plugin or cause it to hang if you use a particular site ?
If you get the FlashPlayer plugin crashing use the option to submit the crash reports, it is then possible to follow them up. It is possible to stop the plugincontainer opening, but that could result in a firefox crash. Of course the firefox crash can also send crash reports out, and that could be useful.

There are some problems with FlashPlayer currently under investigation, and there may be other threads in the forum about problems. (e.g. Bug 561019 - Plugin waveOutOpen hangs )
Sometimes using Firefox 3.6 is a workaround that helps with FlashPlayer problems, if you wish to experiment with that consider installing firefox Portable and using Firefox 3.6.23 (or soon 3.6.24) for tests with flash player, whilst keeping firefox 7 for day to day browsing.

I also have an old 20GB i-Pod and I too wanted to know what was in the new version, but like you I couldn't find a list of features or bug fixes or whatever.
I was happy with the i-Pod and I believe in the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", however, I also heard that the new i-Pods have on-the-go playlists, which is a feature I would really like. So, long story short, I used the new updater, the i-Pod now runs ver1.5 but there is no on-the-go feature. I'm guessing it's not supported for my old Hardware. As a compensation, though, I swear it sounds a bit better than before - dunno if there is a new decoder algorithm in the update. Haven't really answered your question, I just want to warn you that if you want to update for a particular feature, it might not be there. Apple really should publish a feature list for all versions. Suddenly this morning all sound disappeared from youtube youtube via Firefox. Any other ideas? I've performed a SMC, repaired disk permissions, turned up volume.

On my iMac this morning I watched and listened to a youtube segment. I tried to replay it. No sound at all. I checked the volume, performed a SMC, repaired the disk permissions. I have the AppleCare Protection Plan and called them. Talked to them for over an hour. They couldn't help solve the problem. I have sound everywhere else but youtube. Any ideas on how to get sound back on youtube? Thanks.

Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

I'm running Ver. 17.0.1 on windows 7 and this morning all my extensions and plugins have just dissapeared. Help

Opened Firefox this morning and all addon extensions & plugins including my Roboform password manager are gone. In tools, Addons, extensions and plugins everything is blank. How can this happen? I'm running Windows 7 64bit Enterprise and this version of Firefox automaticly upgraded when it came out and everything was accepted by this version when it installed. It has been running for sometime now.
