What does a "sync UI handler" error mean? This happens when I try to sync with my PC in itunes. It tells me there are three conflicts that occured when I synced, 2 calendar and 1 music.

I had the same problem few days ago.
It appears that MP4 format is a lot restricted, and Quicktime/iTunes does not communicate a lot about that. Tipically, Quicktime does not think that MPeg 4 + MP3 is an acceptable MP4 compination.
To make them a lot more permissive, just try to rename the file extension to .m4v, it'll do the job in many cases, and worked for me on a lot of files.

The minimum point in time is the time when the last backup piece for datafiles in that backup was completed.
Your alert.log should show the redo log sequence number at that time.
You can query V$ARCHIVED_LOG and get the FIRST_CHANGE# of the first archivedlog generated after that backup piece completed.
A
LIST BACKUP;in RMAN should also show you the SCNs at the time of the backups.
You can also query SCN_TO_TIMESTAMP -- eg
select timestamp_to_scn(to_timestamp('15-MAR-09 09:24:01','DD-MON-RR HH24:MI:SS')) from dual;will return an approximation of the SCN.

What does the "out of memory" error mean?

When I try to download a presentation for my class onto keynote, I get an import error saying "out of memory". I have only had keynote since January. What can this problem be from?

It sounds like you may have a corrupt render file in your 7th episode. You can set in and out points in 5 minute increments and export those segments to narrow down which clip is the offending clip. Then re-render the offending clip.

Hi I've been experiencing some problems with my mac it gets to hot fans nerver go up not even with smc fan control installed and some times it freezes so i decided to run the apple hardware test that comes with the machine and during the memory part it showed me this error code

Does any one know what this means or have any idea with what part of the machine it can be related to

If I had a hardware error detected by Apple Hardware Test (which in my experience misses the minor things) then I would be raising a case with AppleCare right away.

Powermac G5 1.8ghz June 2004 - strange issues, what does this ASD code mean

I have a powermac g5 with an issue and I would appreciate any help or input. the machine is air cooled dual 1.8ghz processors. After booting to the 10.4 os, the machine would switch to full fan power after 1-2 mins, eventually leading to a lockup shortly there after. I was wanting to upgrade the hard drive anyhow, so I went ahead put in a new drive a fresh load of 10.4. The same issue occurred, within 1-2 mins of loading the desktop fans would switch to full blast followed by a lockup.
AHT passes all extended test.
ASD 2.5.8 reports the following error:
error - PHY data mismatch #define kFWPHYAddressCompareErr - 29055 // -29004
I was thinking if anything, the temp sensors would fail, but the error appears to have something to do with firewire, which seems to be working fine. Does anyone have any insight to this error?
After ASD I reset the pram on the machine by pressing the button on the logic board. The machine booted normally and seemed to be fixed. I was able to install updates including 10.4.11 and use the machine for an hour or so. I then walked away from the machine and it eventually went to sleep mode. When I came back the machine would not wake from sleep. When moving the keyboard/mouse I heard the system kick on and try to wake up, but never resumed video output. Eventually the fans went to full power and stayed there and I ended up powering off the machine.
Also, intermittently, the machine hangs on a grey apple screen with no spinning gear when powered on. I have not seen this since the pram reset, but I wanted to through that out there as well.
Any idea on what could be causing the issues?

Any process that will cause the system to stall/be unable to proceed, would most likely be accompanied by a kick in of the fans as an overheat defense mechanism.
If the system is looking for an address that isn't as expected, it would go on a search loop, which would increase activity, thus the fans.
It is probable that it is related.
It is possible that you may be able to garner further information about what is involved by looking at Console/logs for the processes that are involved at the time just prior to the events.
Additionally, it is proper to run diagnostics several times to confirm the error.
It would be prudent to confirm the error.
For additional feedback on the system components, and to provide validation or refutation of possible memory related issues, use Memtest or Rember to test the RAM.
Apple tests are all or nothing with regard to memory, while these two utilities can help identify latent or intermittent issues.
One other thought is that the issue may be due to firmware corruption, in which case a NVRAM reset may be more valuable than a PRAM reset.

when coming out of sleep i would get a message saying a disk was not usable by my machine. I ran the apple hardware test on the app. disk that came with my computer and got a code number back. I wonder if there is a list of these codes so I will know what is wrong before i spend money.

Sounds like your Mac is not happy with the disk drive.
Do you have a current backup?
You might want to take it to Apple and ask them to check it out for you.

Replaced my failed HD and now the CPU AND ODD fans are running fast. imac 21.5 mid2010

There is a sensor cable on some iMac models that must be attached to the replacement HDD for the fans to operate normally. I do not recall if the particular models include your mid-2010 iMac but the symptom you describe would be consistent with this requirement.
If you did not buy it from OWC / MacSales or other well-known Apple supporter, it is unlikely to have the required hardware.
Check with OWC to determine the correct replacement you require.

Hi Everyone,
I just saw this message for the first time tonight. Does anyone know what it really indicates?
"An unexpected internal application error has occurred. Please get in contact with <MyCompanyName> and provide reference# for further investigation."
This message doesn't look familiar to me at all. I don't know where Apex is getting my company name from. Any ideas?

Hi Kim,
I assume you are using the Sample Database Application or similar app. This message is displayed by the "Error Handling Function" of the application. Go to "Edit Application Properties" -> "Error Handling" -> "Error Handling Function". The referenced function is a stored function or package in the database which contains the necessary code to handle error in application. It allows you to map errors to a new error text.
