What's this Shopping Cart Trick I here of?

Check out this thread: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Shopping-cart-trick-work-for-you-Please-add-to-list/td-p/2869327 I advise only getting a card that you really want anyway and will use as many (included myself) have indulged and regretted it later. You can get these cards via SP but you will still take a ding to your AAoA for the new account (although depending on your credit profile, this may not have a huge effect).  Hope this helps.

@core -- define "scores in the dump", please?  And thank you ;-)I wasn't doing great recordskeeping at the time, and I wasn't paying for myfico, but 10 days before I applied for the Sportsman's Guide, my Discover-provided FICO (TU 08) showed me at 647.  That's the "dump" for me because I was stuck there for 5-6 years with no hope; don't mean to offend anyone who just got there or anything. My EX score must also have been around 647 because both BofA and Discover provided that same EX score in unfavorable terms letters.  That same day, CapOne denied me for a QS and listed a CapOne-generated score of 672 based on EX data.   The SG was coming off the tail end of an app spree obviously; I only applied for it for kicks because someone posted a link.  I know those aren't all "real" scores but that's the best I can do with next to no records from a long time ago.  Also I used a backdoor link to get the shopping cart trick to work on Sportsman's Guide (search this forum for it, a new one was posted again within the last 2-3 mos), but I don't know for sure if that helped me or not.  I _know_ Comenity isn't stupid enough to hand out fat limits just based on some trick and no credit data, but it probably saved me the hard pull.

  • What was your credit score when you did the shopping cart trick?

Hey everyone! I have removed all but  two charge-offs and am paying monthly payments on one of those(Springleaf). My credit score is still terrible....a whopping 505....but, by removing 4 charge-offs it brought it up 36 points. It was 469. Gotta start somewhere. Lol. I have been reading about the shopping cart trick and wanted to ask y'all what was your credit score at when you succeeded? I have two judgments that I will file a Motion to Vacate this fall when I have them paid in full. Thank you very much. :-)

EQ FICO: 744 (6/2015) I see a little plant which I think means that you are in the 'garden'? Which three did you try and your score is excellent at 744. Mine is barely over 500.  Heck, I can't stay in the garden!  Just started gettin the SCT to work!  Have to many cc's. Maybe 18/19?  Got Overstock recently with a 16k limit!  I try to check out as a guest.  It seems to work better for me.  Got the Sportsman Visa the same way.  No hp's at all and around 28,250.00 in cl's.  Worth a shot or two.  Keep trying.  It took me about 2 months to get Overstock to work.  VS  should give you a card.  Probably a few more too.  Scores not excellent.  Not until it's over 800.

  • Shopping cart trick work for you?? Please add to list!

Hi all, I am making this post to explain the shopping cart trick. The shopping cart trick is from what i gathered mostly comenity bank cards. (not all of them) Go to there store, add items into your cart, go check out and put in your info (as it appears on your credit report)If that store approves you, you will recieve a pop up (or maybe a new screen) which says you are pre approved. It will have your brief info and ask you to type in your last 4 digits of your social. Some stores will say how much you are approved on the pop up (some dont) PLEASE READ THIS= -PRE APPROVAL- (which is what i am talking about) is when it says you have been PRE APPROVED (again might say amount) and asks you to ONLY TYPE IN LAST 4 DIGITS OF SOCIAL- this is what you want if you do not want it to show up on your credit report -PRE QUALIFY- this is when you have to bascially fill out a app. (type in more then the last 4 digits of social) THIS WILL SHOW UP ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT AS IT IS A HARD PULL i see many people who think they are the same.. THEY ARE NOT! not everyone will get the pre approval. If you dont, you can try in a week or maybe you need to opt in (google opt in/opt out) it is a site where you can choose whether you want to recieve offers of credit ect. If you have tried this trick..PLEASE  let us know if it has worked. I would like to get a complete list of stores to make it easier for those who wish to try, to find.  Myself, i got the pre approval for,1. victoria secret (this is usually the most easiet store from what i have heard)  $500 credit limit2. king size direct $250 limit (can also be used at 1 stop shop, brylane home and there other sister stores)-i also have a mandees store card but i got that one instore $300 limit i made accounts for both of mine before i got the pop up, not sure if that makes a difference.

  • Tried the shopping cart trick, with mixed results...

Since I have a recently-added false collection on my credit report, any hard pull is going to result in an automatic denial. I'm working on getting that removed, but I also want to get some more trade lines added to my credit reports. TU is currently 615 and EQ is 624.  I had been reading up on the shopping cart trick on these forums (to get credit accounts with soft pulls) and decided to try a few different ones. Here's how it went.  1. Express: I actually shop at this store fairly frequently, and buy my business casual clothes there. I put a couple of pairs of jeans in my cart, and went to checkout. I entered my information, and immediately got the preapproval popup. I applied and got a $500 credit line. Not bad. Plus I saved 20% on my jeans, and got an additional $20 off. Created my account on Comenity's website, and hit the LUV button: 7-10 day message.  2. Overstock.com: This is the one everyone says to try first, because they give generous limits and automatic CLI's. I decided to be adventurous and put a $1,200 patio set in my shopping cart, to see if that would have any effect on the credit line. I went to checkout, entered my details, got the popup and applied. This time it was only a $250 limit. I created an account on Comenity's website, and hit the LUV button, but no luck. Another 7-10 day message. I can't find anything on the site for $75 or less (30% of the limit) that I want to buy right now. I'm a bit disappointed in the limit, but we'll see how it goes over time. 3. Sportman's Guide: There is nothing I'd buy on this website, but since it's a VISA card, no need to bother. I put a couple of items in my cart, proceeded to the checkout, and got nothing. I tried several times yesterday, clearing my browser history each time. Still nothing. Just for giggles, I had my partner, who has amazing credit, try it as well, and still no popup. This might be one that you have to checkout as a member instead of a guest.  4. Walmart: Backed by Synchrony (amazon.com store card), not Comenity. Heard that they have the shopping cart trick as well, so I decided to try it: No luck. Couldn't get the popup to come up, and there's no way to check out as a guest.  5. Dillards: Another shopping cart trick that is not a Comenity card, but is backed by Wells Fargo. Added some stuff to the cart, went to check out, nothing. I think this might be because I used to be a Dillard's employee several years ago, and you had to get a Dillard's credit card to get your employee discount. They would give you a prepaid version of it if you couldn't qualify for the real deal, and I think somewhere in the system I still have that prepaid card.  6. Kirklands: Another Wells Fargo card. I couldn't get the popup to come up here either. Then again, I don't have a local store, so it's not all that important to me. So my takeaway was two new tradelines and a $750 bump in overall credit lines. It's better than nothing!

It's better than nothing!  $250 for Overstock, ouch that blows. Hope it grows if you decide to keep it. I tried the sc trick in November and I got the pop, entered my info and got approved for 2k. I registered for an online account right away and hit the luv button and got it increased to $2300. Haven't had much success getting an increase since. My DW tried it this week and she also got the pop up and got approved for $2000. She registered online and hit the luv button and got it bumped to $2200 hit it again and got the 7-10 day message. About Sportsman guide I have tried it constantly and never get the pop up and neither has my DW gotten the pop-up so it seems our reports don't fit their criteria because my sister tried it and she got the pop up and so did one of my uncles.

They gave me a $10,000 credit line with no questions asked and it was a soft pull as they only asked for the last four of my social. I was also instantly preapproved for the MyPoints Visa with a $2,500 credit line. Then - as soon as I signed up through the Total Rewards site a pop up instantly came up and approved me for the Total Rewards Visa. I declined this one as I've read of the extremely low starting credit lines. That one didn't appeal to me. All of the above were through instant pop ups. Hope this helps... My current scores: Equifax - 765   TransUnion - 735   Experian - 703   (Goal = 800)+1 I was also pre-approved for the Sportsman's Visa.  They gave me a 2K limit.  No luck with Total Rewards or Mypoints though.I got the sportman's guide to work for the first time ever, anyone know if they are generous with CLs? I dont want to take it and bring down my AAoA unless I have a shot @ 5k

  • SRM Classic Scenario - What decides if shopping cart creates a PO or PR

    Hi,
In the classic implementation of self-service, how is it decided if the document created in ECC (after shopping cart approval) is a Purchase Order or a Purchase Requisition?
Is this through a technical solution ie., the PR or PO decision is based on the call to the BAPI that creates a PR or a PO?
If not then where in config is this aspect decided?

    hi
if you have assigned FIXED source of supply - PO will be created
if you dont assign any vendor / prefered vendor - PR will be created ( if no specific sourcing configured)
as masa said you can control the follow on documents in the define backend Objects.....

  • Overstock shopping cart trick not working?

Some brief hints about getting the SCT to work: It will not work if you did the opt out of prescreen offers.   If you need to opt in, then do so and wait 4 or 5 days. Try using the 'private' or 'incognito' or 'stealth' mode of your browser,  or clear the cookies and try again. Checkout as a quest. Add some small items to cart, I use more than 50 bucks. Type your contact info exactly as it appears on your CRs, type slow and hesitate when you're done for at least 2 minutes. If it doesnt work, X out of the shopping cart, wait a few minutes, and try again, maybe with a different browser. hth

I just tried it and it didn't pop up when I signed in. I cleared and went to check out as a guest and it let me out in the info. I was trying it for my bro who is building his credit and I got the 7-10 message. I'm guessing that's a denial.

  • Fell beside the garden with the shopping cart trick. Ah well.

I had NO intention whatsoever of opening another account, as I really do have what I need for now. But all those pretty little things at VS got me and then they told me I was an Angel and offered me a preapproval when I went to pay, and from there I was shopping on the last day of the semi-annual sale with a new account to go along with deeply discounted bras and free shipping.  Granted, I did think it through when I got the pop-up, and I know this isn't a card that will get much use as I only shop there during the semi-annual or other really good deals but I think the Comenity cards grow quickly and the VS point/reward system is pretty good. Also, I don't plan on ceasing to wear nice underwear anytime soon so I didn't have to twist my arm much to accept the offer lol SN: This was my first ever pop-up as I just started my credit rebuilding journey in Jan. of this year, so it did feel really good to see that I'm making enough progress for banks to notice. I'll be paying this bill as soon as I receive my card in a week or so and heading back into the garden!'

  • Change shopping cart

Hello all, I am confusing in a point, I have this issue:
I have a shopping cart with 1 item and 2 approvers
    First approver reject the SC
Creator of shopping cart can change this shopping cart after the approver reject it?
When the shopping cart can be changed?
    Thanks
    Rosa

    Hi ,
Whether the SC requester can change the SC or not is determined by the parameter "BBP_WFL_SECURITY" under the personlization tab in trascn PFCG for the SC creator role(e.g. EMPLOYEE role).
When the Approver rejects the SC,the witem is sent back to the requester informing him that the Sc has been rejected by the 1st approver and if he has the authorisation(based on the parameter BBP_WFL_SECURITY) to chnage the SC,he can change the SC and resend it for approval. Then the Sc will be again sent to the 1st approver for approval and the cycle continues.
To change the SC,the SC creator will be able to see a CHANGE button on the Screen to make the changes and resend the SC for approval.in order to get the change button, the parameter setting level should be atleast "Low".
See the foll details on security level:
    Security Levels
Each user in the SRM system can have a Security Level.
The Security Level predicts how a workflow will react when a change has been made to a business docuement. I.e. A Shopping Cart, Purchase Order etc.
There are 5 different values for the BBP_WFL_SECURITY and there are several ways to check the security levels.
Checking the Security Level of a user
Here I discuss two ways to check the BBP_WFL_SECURITY of a user. The first is by using the Business Object Builder and the second is by using User Maintenance.
    1) Business Object Builder: SWO1
Logon with a user who is authorized to access transaction SWO1 Business Object Builder.
Enter the Business Object for a SRM User BUS4101 and press 'Test'. Now press the 'Instance' button to give us the ability to examine the user. Enter the user name of the user and execute. Now we can see many of the attributes that are associated with this user. The Security level of the user is available here. The value is the BBP_WFL_SECURITY for the instanced user.
    2) User Maintenance: SU01
Logon with a user who is authorized to access transaction SU01 User Maintenance.
Enter the 'Username' of the user. You can now see much of the data that is associated with this user. To check the users security level we must navigate to the 'Personalization Tab'. Now Double-Click on the object key 'BBP_WFL_SECURITY'.
    Security Level Definition
As mentioned above, there are 5 different Security Level values that can be assigned to a user, each of which will have a different effect on a workflow when the associated business document has been changed. These range from 0-4 and they can be maintained for each user in User Maintenance (SU01 -> Personalization Tab -> BBP_WFL_SECURITY), provided the user you have logged on with has the ability to make changes to these settings.
Please note that if the customer has an active implementation of the BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI, it is possible that the BBP_WFL_SECURITY settings in the database can be overridden.
    BBP_WFL_SECURITY = 4 High
If the user who changes the purchasing document has their security level set to 'High', the workflow will never restart after the change has taken place. No restart flag has been set in BBP_PDH_WFL_CHECK_RESTART. Again, as mentioned above, the BADI can override these settings.
    BBP_WFL_SECURITY = 3 Medium
If the user who changes the purchasing document has their security level set to 'Medium', the workflow will re-evaluate the starting conditions of the workflow. If the change made to the document means that the starting conditions of a new workflow are satisfied, then the new workflow will be called and replace the old workflow. The existing workflow will be terminated.
If, however, no other starting conditions have been satisfied, then the workflow will continue. Again, as mentioned above, the BADI can override these settings.
    BBP_WFL_SECURITY = 2 Low
If the user who changes the purchasing document has their security level set to 'Low', then the workflow will always restart after the change has been made. The restart flag in function module BBP_PDH_WFL_CHECK_RESTART will be flagged. Again, as mentioned above, the BADI can override these settings.
    BBP_WFL_SECURITY = 1 None
Here the user does not have a security setting and changes to the document at not possible. Again, as mentioned above, the BADI can override these settings.
    BBP_WFL_SECURITY = 0 Not Defined
When the setting is '0', however, the value is INITIAL. Again, as mentioned above, the BADI can override these settings.
It is wise to note that depending on the business document there are differences in how changes will effect a workflow! Please see the function module BBP_PDH_WFL_CHECK_RESTART to see these exactly!
    Workflow Security BADI
Occasionally, the business requirements of a company necessitate the ability to override the workflow security settings of users. In this case, function module BBP_PDH_WFL_SECLEVEL_GET checks if an active implementation of the BAdI BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI exists. If it does, then the logic contained in the BAdI will determine what security level is required. If not, then the value will be taken from the database as normal. These can be used specifically to determine whether a purchasing document can be changed during approval and also to determine how the workflow should behave when a change to the purchasing document has taken place.

  • Shopping Cart/ Rebuilding Help

Hi everyone!  I am trying to rebuild my credit so that in a few years my husband and I might be able to look at getting a house. I have applied for a Capital One Platinum Mastercard that they sent me a pre-approval for, they requested proof of income, I mailed it to them and am now waiting on their decision. Hoepfully will know about that sometime this week.  Other than that, I have no accounts in my name except our Consumer's Energy bill and that doesn't seem to report anywhere. I have accounts in collection that I am working on paying off and I pay off debt collectors that call before they report now (wish I had done that sooner....>.<) but I am trying to find additional ways to rebuild my credit and found the shopping cart trick online. Can anyone give me any information about this? I've gotten the pop up using my husband's info but never with my own and I'm just wondering if I am even likely to get a card with how low my score is (TU 570 EQ 577 EX 566). I have tried several different stores so I'm not particular. Is it best to be a guest or make an account or...? And any other tips on getting my credit cleaned up?

  • Shopping Cart/Wish List

I have been a long time iTunes store shopper, and traditionally I've always looked forward to the updates, but one of the changes in the most recent version really irks me. I absolutely cannot stand the new wish list feature. In my opinion, it's a buggier, worse version of the shopping cart, and I seriously wish they would just bring the old one back.
But, since that probably isn't going to happen, I have some questions in hopes of making the new "feature" a little easier to deal with:
    1) Is there any way to make the wish list sort by genre? It used to be really nice with the shopping cart when I could sort through whatever music I had in it by the kind of music I was in the mood for. This is one of many features which, as far as I can tell, is gone.
    2) Is there any way to make it so the wish-list page doesn't reset each time you buy a song? Every time I buy a song, the page refreshes back to the top of the page with all my previous sorting set back to default. This is HIGHLY annoying when I want to buy more than one song, and I have to re-search for the next one after buying the first.
    3) Is there any way to see all your wish-list music on one page rather than having to sort through the 4-5 pages I currently have?
I really appreciate what Apple was trying to do with the Wish List, but unless I'm missing something, they took out more features than they added. Simple ones that make a big difference. I think they aimed it more for people who want to go through and pick a lot of music, and then buy it all at once. They took out a lot of what made large shopping carts easy and quick to navigate and buy from. I for one used the shopping cart more as a place to store all the music I EVENTUALLY wanted to buy rather than a more immediate place to chuck my upcoming purchases. Every time I saw a song on iTunes that I liked, regardless of my immediate intent of buying it, it went in the shopping cart. I may not get to it for months, but it would stay there, and I could get to it easily when I wanted to.
I highly doubt I'm the only person who used it like that, and for those of us who did, I think the wish-list is a crappy alternative.

Well after my post on this very issue was removed (because it was deemed more feedback than a question - which I'm fine with), it would likely have helped.
As far as I can tell, there is only ONE WAY to get to your shopping cart, er, wish list.
    1) Login
    2) On the left bar (the section where your shopping cart used to be, along with your playlists), you have to click on iTunes Store. You'll see your Wish List in the Quick Links section...
Thats it. Clicking anywhere else, like the 'Home' link or whatever, will not help you...if this is all too crazy, yeah, it is. I mean, making it difficult to purchase sounds really, um, crazy, particularly if you shop by shopping cart - which means you actually spend money on more music than "single buy". Ugh!
On the other question on how to "Add to Wish List". In the section where songs are listed (with fixed sized columns that you can't adjust in this version - had to rub that in), you'll see a button to "BUY SONG". To the right of that text is an arrow (in the button, not another column) that if clicked gives you more options. One of them is to add to your wish list. Can't tell if the fixed sized columns are also affecting your view (maybe you're not seeing the entire button?).

  • SRM 7.02 Shopping Cart Monitor

    Good afternoon Gurus,
I am having difficulty with commitments posting incorrectly in our backend system.  I am currently running ECC 6 and SRM 7.02 Extended Classic.
I use the SRM Application Monitor for error checking etc........... I as the administrator am able to delete line items from Shopping carts when requested.
Unfortunately I have one document that has not updated our GM table correctly and I would like to re-activate the line items on this shopping cart but do not seem to have the ability.  Is this a feature of the Application Monitor at all or is there another way to accomplish it?
I have already spoken to the requestor on the shopping cart and she sees the shopping cart with no items as well, she has no way to undelete or reactivate the items either.  I use /SAPPSSR/SC_COMMIT_REPOST in TCode SA38 to repost erroneous shopping cart commitments and that seems to clear the GMIA issue, but because this shopping cart is deleted the items are not available.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Mary

    Hi konstantin,
My error was related to monitor shopping cart and it is 'sc.detailprof' , but i still have followed the same procedure the way it was maintained for the standard role by SAP.
What OBN should exactly is to be maintained for those errors.
I was also checking the parameters in SWO1 tcode and maintaing the same for the method, but still no use, can you please suggest if there is any other way to do this.
    Thanks,
    Pavan.

  • Attachment transfer issue from Shopping cart to Purchase req in ECC

    Hello,
How are you all. Need your expert advise..
We are trying to achieve functionality where documents which are attached on shopping cart get transfer into Purchase req in ECC (Classic Scenario with SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0). For this we have done following config / enhancements:
    - Activated BADI "BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW" in SRM with following code for attachment;
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
    cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
    - Created new document type ECC with t.code DC30 for SRM and assigned the object links for EBAN table.
After performing above task we are able to see Link of the attachment into Purchase req in ECC with document number (i.e. the one we assigned while defining document type in DC30) but not able to open the document in ECC.
Could you please let us know if there is any settings which we have missed for actually opening documents in ECC?
    Thank you
    Ritesh

Issue as reported Please let me know why the docs are not uploaded to SRm succesfully .
I am facing the below weird issue .
    Easy shopping >Shop> eHiring catalog
    Click Transfer to SRM
Now click on the button ‘Details’ and open the tab ‘Notes and attachments’
All attchments are names after the 1st attachment and all have the same file type
Basically you have lost all you attachments here, except 1 (when you click on the link, all links refer to the same document, so not just cosmetic). This is a problem.
When you order this shopping cart and search for it and open it again, the attachment tab is even completely empty, so now all attachments are lost.
Something like this, but less severe, happens in the process a bit further.
    - Approve the shopping cart with the applicable approver
    - Log in as Hiring desk:
Still no original attachments (like job descriptions).
Now click button ‘responses and awards’
Click tab ‘Items’ and fill out price ‘40’ euro
    Click notes and attachment tab
    I added 5 attachments
As can be seen here, the docx becomes an xlsx again, but it looks like it just takes over the 1st file type that was uploaded, it can also be the other way around (xlsx becomes docx) when the 1st uploaded attachment is a document.
But in this case, when you click on the link, it will open the right file with the right program, so over here it looks like it is just cosmetic.
