What's This? tool in RH 8

I am researching new ways of presenting context sensitive help, instead of opening a topic from the full help. Cannot find info about What's this?
I want to know what the output looks like. Is it in a 'bubble', does it appear when you hover over a field in the product, or must you click a link?
Has anyone had success using this tool?

If you want to see "What's this" help in actual use, hopefully you have Windows XP. I don't think I've seen any What's this since migrating to Windows 7. Not sure about Vista. Anyhoo, if you have XP, just open Microsoft Paint. (Click Start > Run > Type MSPAINT into the Run dialog and press Enter).
From paint, click File > Save As and you should see a dialog similar to below. See the Question Mark in the upper right coner? Click it and the cursor changes.
Click the item you want information on and if it's available, a description will be presented.
Hopefully this helps with providing what you were looking for.

This tool prepares libraries from iPhoto 7 or earlier so they can be upgraded with the current version of iPhoto.
So if you previous version of iPhoto was 7 or earlier you need to download (it installs in the Applications/Utilities folder), launch and apply it to your iPhoto Library before opening the library with iPhoto 9.5.1.

Crystal Reports for Eclipse Free Version - What is the status of this tool?

I'm inquiring about the status of this tool now that SAP is on the scene.
I used it about a year ago and am coming back to it - I'm not finding much on the new SAP support site.
Is it being killed by SAP? I don't want to start a new project with a dead SDK...
If not, what is the latest release, where are docs for the latest release, and where can I download the latest release?

Well, I tried that link, then tried to get to an article (link) that is behind 'Understanding the relationship between Crystal Reports, Java, and Eclipse' and I cannot get to the link.
I keep getting a SAP -- Expert Weblog Login challenge screen. I'm registered (I think) with all of the new SAP SDN and Business Objects developer networks (I mean - i'm logged in here, right?).
Lastly - I was the administrator and manager for the Business Objects OEM Premier Partner plan for my last company, and I am intimately familiar with this product - what I'm asking for is most likely not behind the scenes on some of these articles. What I need to know is what is SAPs commitment to this product, where is the original development team for it (are they being supported for Ganymede, etc.) and what are the future plans for it? I would prefer answers directly from SAP development management giving definitive direction on this product's future before I recommend taking a chance on it to my firm.

Thanks for the replies. I reviewed them shortly after they were submitted but I'm also working on other projects at the same time (hence the delayed reply).
Building a time table and doing a cross join to my original resultset gave me the desired resultset of the months assigned between dates. What I can't figure out now is how to filter months I don't want.
Doing a cross join between my original resultset that had two dates:
08/27/2010
10/24/2011
and a calendar table that has 24 rows (each month for a two year period)
my new resultset looks like this:
I need to filter the rows in yellow as the months assigned for stage 3 that started on 8/27/2010 should stop when the patient was assigned to stage 4 on 10/24/2011.
You'll notice that Jan - Sept 2011 isn't listed for Stage 4 assigned on 10/24/2011 as I included a filter in the WHERE clause that states
the Months Assigned value must be greater than or equal to the date assigned value.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I think in CS5, it was called "Live-Trace." Whatever it's called, it should become available on the options panel (the context-sensitive control panel at the top) when you select a trace-eligible raster image on your artboard.

I have downloaded + installed the J2EE Migaration Kit successfully. I want to migrate a deployable EAR file from WebLogic to SAP NetWeaver. However, I was very disappointed when I looked into this tool!! I was hoping that this tool would migrate my EAR file automatically to SAP NetWeaver. However, the tool is not able to to take an EAR file as an input file and does whatever is necessary to migrate it to SAP NetWeaver... At least that is what I expect from a migration tool!
I doubt that this tool has any benefit in real projects!!!

by the first reading of your posting, i was realy a bit confused. But this was just only the first impression
Yeah, then i read the J2EE specification documents and all the things which come out of the Java and J2EE vendors and community, i would assume that i have only to modify some deployment descripton files in the EAR and everything runs fine. But this was sadly not the reality.
First, the J2EE specification, and in particular the EJB 2.0 specification, is ambiguous in some points. This yields in different interpretations and implementations by the J2EE vendors. One example are the ejbCreate() methods and their signatures.
Second, most of the J2EE vendors have added many extensions to their products like primary key generators or extensions to EJB-QL (JBossQL for example).
In both cases you have to modify your code and rebuild your EAR to get a runable application.
The J2EE MiKi provides you with the needed tools to do this task:
You have plugins to import the source code into your developer studio; these generate the deployment descriptor files for the WebAS. And you have documents which assist you to pay attention on many aspects of your migration.

Photoshop CS6 keyboard shortcut not working -- what is this red bar tool?

I want Ctrl+Shift+S to do SAVE AS. I set it as such in the keyboard shortcuts, but when I do that key combo, all I get is this:
What is this thing? The mouse pointer changes to this. I can move it around and draw a box (in the background of PS, outside any open images). I have no idea what it is, but I want it to go away and do SAVE AS instead. Can anyone help? Thanks.

It sounds like some of the Unix Executable commands were removed (or the permissions to those were modified) out of the /usr/bin/ folder. You can try opening disk utility and repairing permissions on Macintosh HD or you can reboot your computer and holding down option-r when it comes back up to reinstall Lion again. This will not delete your personal information or applications you have installed but it would be best to back it up to Time Machine before you do. The article on how to do this is here. (http://www.apple.com/macosx/recovery/) I have had to do this before and it works like a charm. It should fix your issue but grab a cup of coffee because its going to take about 35 - 40 minutes depending on how fast your computer is.

My Airport Time Capsule only works when I turn off and turn on, but I think this may end up with the unit. What can this happening and how to solve?

I'm having trouble with my Time Capsule Airport, I made all the settings according to the manual, but there has been a connection problem with my iMac. When I finish my work I turn off the imac and then again when they return to work and care, it can not connect to Time Capsule Airport, making it impossible to remove the files and make back up by Time Machine only works when I turn off and turn on the Airport Time Capsule , but I think this may end up with the unit. What can this happening and how to solve? Thank you.

This is easier to do with pictures perhaps.. since we do not share a common language and machine translation leaves a lot to be desired.
In the airport utility bring up your Time Capsule.

Please also make sure you are set to ipv6 in your wireless or ethernet .. whichever is used.. and do tell which.
This is wifi in your computer.
The following are important..
DO not use long names with spaces and non-alphanumeric names.
Use short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
eg TC name. TCgen5
Wireless name TCwifi
Use WPA2 Personal security with 10-20 character pure alphanumeric password.
read apple instructions to help with TM and TC.. they did finally admit it has issues in Mavericks.

What's This Help not working for one entry in each header file

I have a large RoboHelp project that I have imported into Version 8 from a previous version. Prior to the import into Version 8, all of the What's This Help in the project was working perfectly; now, post-import, I have a problem.
Firstly, some background information.
My project contains a large number of individual header (.H) files, one for each dialog within the software. These header files, which have been generated and provided by our developers, contain one entry for each field on the dialog to which the header file relates. The header files are all contained within a \HTML Topics\Fields\ folder (going from the root of my Help project).
Each header file has a corresponding text (.TXT) file. These text files contain entries that correspond to the entries in the relevant header file. The text files are also contained within the \HTML Topics\Fields\ folder.
Below is an example of the contents of a header file:

The What's This Help that was part of the original project still works perfectly. However, after upgrading the project to RoboHelp Version 8, I have had to update the project to reflect changes to the software. As part of this work, I have imported some new header files and updated some existing ones - and edited the corresponding text files accordingly.
The What's This Help that is covered by the header files that I have imported since the upgrade to RoboHelp Version 8 does not work correctly; in each case, the What's This Help does not work for whichever field appears at the top of the appropriate text file. The position of the entry in the corresponding header file does not make a difference.
If I manually edit a text file to move a different entry to the top then recompile the Help project, the What's This Help does not work for the field that now appears at the top of the text file - and the What's This Help for the field that used to appear at the top of the text file now works.
I've tried everything I can think of to fix this, but nothing has worked. It seems as if there is a problem in the way RoboHelp is compiling the header and text files.
If I use Microsoft HTML Help Workshop to decompile the CHM file, then view the contents of the resulting, decompiled text files, the affected files appear as follows:

Note how the entry at the top - which relates to the What's This Help that doesn't work - appears differently to the other entries which do work. The name of the ID appears after ".topic" rather than the appropriate ID number.
Any help that anyone can provide me with would be very much appreciated.

Its working now. We just kept trying to reinstall the tools and restarting indesign. On the 4th time the buttons started working. I can't explain why it finally worked, just that it is working now.

I am having these lines on the side and on bottom /top. What is this ?

I went on computer about an hour ago and everything was fine then all of a sudden these series of lines||(horizontal moving slightly on the lft side of screen (just started again) On the bottom has lines cant really read anything and on top What is this and how do I fix it?.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
