what's up with "Downloading, Installing, Setting Up"? It is striking how often this problem confronts us again and again in recent times. How is it possible that Adobe does not notice that. I wish that they would take action and forward it to the places of developing.

ich darf Dir versichern, dass es mir wirklich nur darum geht systemimmanente Fehler auszumerzen.Worum geht es mir in diesem Falle konkret? Die Antwort liegt tatsächlich in der Auswertung meiner vorgeschlagenen Suche nach "hans cleaner tool". Hierzu musst Du allerdings die Funktion "Show 5 more" und danach "See all content results" benutzen.
Was dann im "content" gezeigt wird ist höchst aufschlußreich: Vom 26. Mai an bis zum 17. Mai 2014 haben 54 (in Worten vierundfünfzig) Leute gepostet, dass sie Probleme "creative cloud is not working!!!" oder ähnlichem hatten.
Den meisten konnte mit dem Hinweis auf das "Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) Cleaner Tool" helfen, wie Du aus den (meist Dank-) Anworten per Suche nach
"hans cleaner tool" sehen kannst. ;-) Hierzu habe ich Dir einen Auszug per Bildschirmkopie beigelegt.
Zum Schluß dieser meiner Erklärungsversuche noch ein paar Anmerkungen:
1. Vielleicht kannst Du jetzt nachvollziehen, welche Sorge mich umtreibt. Als überzeugter Anwender mit Schwerpunkt auf dem Dreamweaver tut es mir in der Seele weh, wenn Adobe nicht in der Lage zu sein scheint Programme zu liefern, die perfekt laufen und bei denen diese "Krücke" Cleaner Tool unnötig ist.
2. Ich kann zwar mit Deinen Beratungserfolgen nicht mithalten, dennoch spricht auch die Punktzahl, die ich erreicht habe eine deutliche Sprache.
3. Als Brücken- und Tunnelbauingenieur habe ich mein Geld sowohl mit Mathematik als auch mit der EDV verdient, ich denke also ich kann hier mitreden.
4. Ich bin es gewohnt - ganz besonders in Teamarbeit - durch "konstruktive Kritik" zu einer guten (Kompromiss-)Lösung zu kommen.

I just got a WRT54G2. My computer's CD drives don't work so I am trying to install with the downloadable wizard. I downloaded it from this page: http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT54G2/download
What I get is a .iso file and I have no idea how to make it run as a install wizard program. I've been researching for a few hours and tried some programs but all they let me do it see the files but not run them to make the install wizard.
How do I run the downloaded install wizard?

An .iso file is an image of a CD. Burn it to a cd-r with roxio or nero or whatever burning software you have. You can also try magic disc (freeware) which will mount the iso image to a virtual cd drive. Your best best is probably just to burn it to a cd. Hope that helps!

Downloading, Installing, Setting Up Lightroom 5

I just purchased the update version of Lightroom 5 for windows. I received an approved order number and a serial number. The download column states "not applicable". I tried to open the beta version I had installed, but it says it is expiered and returns me to an update list for previous versions of Lightroom. What do I need to do next?

Download actions issues : Firefox stopped to ask what to do with downloads

Hi to you all !
Since latest fedora update (using Firefox with Fedora 21 x64), Firefox was upgraded from FF36 to FF37. Since then, Firefox stopped to "ask" what to do when I'm trying to download a file : instead, the download goes straight to firefox integrated download manager and invariably failed, never even asking me WHERE to download anyway.
Preferences are actually setup to "always ask", and downthemall extension doesn't seem to work neither.
How can I switch back to the old behavior please ? Thank you !

Could you goto about:config and search for browser.download.useDownloadDir
then double click the preference and set it to false if it is not already.

Since switching my computer on a short time ago, I have repeatedly been receiving those boxes where Firefox asks me what I wish to do with this download as in what I wish to open it with? They are all to do with Facebook, and I don't use Facebook,don't have or want a Facebook account. The box says:

what should Firefox do with this file?.

Also when cancelling the box another one or two of the same boxes appear. It's extremely concerning and I'm currently running MacScan and iAntivirus to see if I have a problem on my Mac. I'm using Firefox 8.0.1 and Mac Snow leopard.
To answer the first question below, "this Happened" it's just started to happen today and has been about 7/8 times so far, but the menu doesn't allow for that answer.

What is wrong with "will install" in iTunes?!

I have downloaded an app with my itunes. I want to install it on my iphone. but there is a problem
I go to "apps", the i click the "install" in front of the app. then i click the "apply", The capacty of my memory which is shown at the buttom of the page is lowered as the app is installed. but when i quit the itunes, there is nothing on my iphone! and for the next time i open the itunes again. the capacity comes back to it first place and the "install" turned into "remove" although i don't have the app on my iphone!

No, that is completely expected
For an app to transfer to your device, it needs to say 'Remove' or 'Will Install' next to it, then press sync or apply.

What will happen with my installed softwares?

Hi I am using MacBook Pro with C2D and having latest version of SL. But I have installed lots of software useful for my business including virtual machine and I am using Windows 7 ultimate on it. So I am wondering what will happen if I upgrade this to Lion? Do I need to install everything again or it will be as it is like on my snow leopard?

I don't know about VMware, but I can tell you that when I opened Windows XP the first time in Parallels after upgrading to Lion, I had to re-setup the virtual machine. Other than this, no problems. CS3 and older WILL NOT run in Lion, but CS4 and newer run without problems.
Go to About this Mac > applications, and here you can see which of your applications are PowerPC, thus not compatible with Lion.

Opinion on what's wrong with my hand set.

I am currently using a blackberry curve 8520. I woke up this morning to find out that the scene was blank but the light on the top was still flashing, I plugged in the charger thinking the battery was low but to my surprise the screen came on but when I unplugged the charger it went blank again. I did a battery pull and the replace the battery and I can see the blackberry sign that the phone is booting, once that was completed the phone goes blank but the light is still flashing which indicates that the phone is on. I have even tried calling using a different handset but the phone wont allow me to select answer. I am now lost has I can her SMS and BBM messenges coming in but can retrieve them as the wont allow me . I know it is on.
Could you please help me? I think it need a new battery but don't understand why I wont allow me to retrieve messages or calls..

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
You could also attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

from OTN. My development ENV is: ORACLE 8.0.5 in one NT4.0
machine, OAS4.0.7 in the second NT4.0 machine.
Oracle8.0.5&OAS4.0.7 are installed and configed successfully.
Then I installed my Develper6.0 in the second NT4.0 machine. I
want to config my Develper6.0 Web developing/deployment
environment to deploy my developed Form/Report/Graphics. But I
cann't find the "Start->Oracle Developer R6.0->Server Wizard"
menu as illustrated in the chapter "Configuring your Oracle
Developer Server environment" of Oracle Developer Online
Manuals.So I can not config my Developer6.0 Server for Web
environment automatically. Who can tell me why? Without the
Server Wizard, how can I config my Form/Report/Graphics Server
manually?

I've managed to install the wizard. I've started Oracle
installer and pointed to nt.prd file on developer 6 CD. Almost
at the end you find the server configuration wizard. You can
install him seperately.

Hi there. Sorry you're having trouble with your iPhone.
You shouldn't be getting a message about being connected to wifi, unless you haven't gotten the apps downloaded to your computer. Check the apps section of iTunes. Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes on your PC/Mac and iOS on your iPhone. Try unchecking "Sync Apps" and "Sync Music" and then re-check them, as this should delete and restart the syncing of those items. You'll want to make sure that you have verified your iPhone to have your purchased content on it, also, otherwise it will not work.
