What's Up With FaceTime?
For three days I cannot connect up with anyone using FaceTime, and neither can my sister. I tried FaceTime using both my iPad 2 and my new iPhone. It's worked great for the past three months, but for the last three days, nothing. Any ideas?
There is an Apple server problem. They are working on a solution.

Facetime has been having increasing issues with connecting and working. Does anyone know what is going on?
there has been a big problem with facetime and imessage. The best solution for this case is to restore your device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Make sure you back it up. and I would set up facetime before you reinstall your backup and make sure its working. -

ad 3) Try recording command-alt-J instead of command-J, that should provide the »Toggle dialog on/off«-field in the Actions Panel.
ad 4) I think that has been changed since CS4 at least.
I also preferred the old behaviour, but I doubt it will be re-introduced anytime soon.
ad 5) I seldom use those combinations, but with the Direct Selection Tool doesn’t command-clicking suffice? -
What is wrong with my facetime,i am using an ipad everytime i placed a call i can't hear it ringing and the person i am calling can't recieve my call as well,i did everything possible forced off my ipad,on and off facetime on settings,change id's, mute,unmuted,reset network settings!! - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

Everytime I try to start FaceTime it says: "There has occured a problem with FaceTime. You have to stop FaceTime and start it again" What can I do about this?
Same problem as well as the network failure. Apple Care was suggesting a full reinstall and I declined. I thought it worked once but I can't be sure ... it might have been Skype which works perfectly.

What generations of ipod touch work with facetime? I would imagine, one download the application to the computer then sync with the ipod touch. Will facetime work with itunes on a windows box or it only works with Apple computer / laptob....

None of us know for sure. All we know is that Apple has released an updated version for desktop and laptop users, but nothing yet for iOS users. No idea when or if they will. THe only recommendation that's been made is for people to update their iOS.

Any takers on this question ? FaceTime is one of the apps I used all the time prior to Os7 update, now i can't get in because when I try to sign in, the message I receive says Activation could not sign in and I should check my network connection. My network connection works fine, I can use the internet or twitter or all the other apps which require a working network, but not FaceTime.......What's up with that ??

What is the maximum number of devices that can be connected with FaceTime?
I have tried to find in theh Apple web pages the maximum number of devices that one can connect to with FaceTime. Specifically, how many iPad2 or iPad (new) devices can connect to each other with FaceTime? What about an older iMac running Mountain Lion with iPads? Or, iPhone4s and iPads? Thanks for any information you can provide.
I don't know of any limit, as long as each device has its own individual identification ( e-mail address, or phone number for iphones)

No, cannot revert to the original. Suddenly this new Facetime was imposed on me and it doesn't work. It's okay on a year old MacBook Pro, and it's ok in the iPhone 4S. Just not ok on the imac running on 10.6.3. Cannot try OS update suggested because I am currently 300 miles from the Mac and travelling so will have to wait until I get back. Reluctant to install mavericks because of all the complaints I have seen about incompatibilities. Appreciate the business reasons for constant OS updates, but businesses themselved would always rather remain with tried ant trusted software. I stopped using iMovie entirely because suddenly a new version was imposed that required re-leaening the whole process.
