What's up with Skype credit?

When I try to buy credit, I am taken to a web page that's all in Chinese.

  • Purchase of online number with Skype Credit

    I purchased $30, but I of Skype credit and went to purchase an online number with it, but I keep getting the same message to sign in to my account to purchase.  I am signed in, it says hello to me.  So the next thing I tried was to sign out of Skype completely and Quit it on the desk top, then sign in again.  nope same message.  I selected a special number for this and now it is expiring because I can't make skype take skype credit!  What so I do, time is short.  With the plan I purchased I was suppose to have live chat with skype to troubleshoot the problem, but I don't have access to that either!

  • Problems with skype credit

    Greatings,
     I recently tried to buy skype credits with a credit card but it failed several times. I am sure that the amount on the card is enough for my purchase
    and also the information I'm sending is correct. There must be something else. 
     I am from Bulgaria and my credit card is from bulgarian bank. Is there a problem with that? I heard that some skype-credit features are not supported in some countries.

    Ditto. We use paysafecards to hopefully refrain from entering too much personal info.
    Though with this unlimited thing that we have to do in order to buy credit is a hassle and also defeats all purpose of using the paysafecard service.
    Ahwell, time to find another way to contact relatives who lives far away untill they change this bad policy.

  • Hearing problems with Skype credit phone calls

    Am using Skype on an iphone4.  When I make Skype credit calls to landlines or mobile phones I can hear the people on the other end well but they often complain that they can hear me just barely or really poorly.  The Skype microphone setting is  on ON.  
    If it were my wifi connection then I should also have problems hearing the other party but I don't.

    I think Skype is sitting in US pretty comfortably. It was the first VoIP company, now there are hundreds of them. So, being unable to keep in pace with normal rivalry the pioneer company continued business nevertheless...

  • Why can't I pay for a subscription with Skype cred...

    I'm a little confused and want to purchase a monthly subscription through Skype, but when my credit was under a dollar, it wouldn't allow me to purchase it.  So, I recharged my credit.  Now, when I go to sign up for a subscription, it wants to charge my credit card again.  Why can't I use the credit that it just made me sign up for?  Can I purchase the monthly subscription and get a refund on my $14?

  • What's wrong with skype support?

    Hi, I bought a subscription to call Finland, so I can call my 87yr. old mother. Worked fine for few months. This summer we took a trip to Finland to go see her. When we got back I tried calling her with Skype and her number was blocked by Skype. I contacted their support and they assured me this block would be taken away. I tried calling later againg and it was back. I now received email from Skype saying her number is blocked and I can't call it anymore with Skype???? I was told on the chat line it's because "fraudulent use" ??? My mother has not received any strange phone calls and she does not have a computer. I would sure like to talk with a supervisor, but even after requesting this on the chat all I get is this email giving me no reason why her number is suddenly blocked. This is VERY strange behavior by the Skype customer support. As a consequence of this I lost $4.99 on my subscription for not being able to make calls to my mom. I have now cancelled my subscription. Has anyone else had a similar situation?

  • Purchasing a subscription with Skype Credit

    Hello,
    I have over $100 in skype credit vouchers and do not see a way to use them for a yer long subscription or even a month long subscription.  Is this not possible?  

    I think it is not possible to convert credits to subscription or use them to purchase one.

  • How to call a 090 with skype credit?

  • What is wrong with Skype?

    Hello everybody!
    I've been using skype about 8 years from now but now I'm getting problems like this:
     •When trying to recall somebody it just instantly hangs up.
     •When I hang up on somebody, Skype just freezes(goes Not Responding) and unfreezes after 2-5 minutes.
     •When I was talking with my friends in group call with web cameras on, something happens after talking more than 1 hour, for example, cameras just turns off, same is happening to screen sharing.
     •When talking to somebody it's impossible to send pictures or documents, I mean small files, not more than 30MB. Any file is sending slowly(10kb/s), even though sender and receiver have fast internet speeds(More than 20mbps).
    This was happening last week, still have these problems sometimes.
    What should I do? By the way, Skype isn't using more than 15% of my CPU even when Not Responding.

    EXACTLY!!! The effect lessens with the MORE you have. If you close cards, the less you have in the future to nullify the closing effect. Thank you for pointing that out. So if the effect LESSENS with the MORE cards you have, then it makes sense to NOT CLOSE them.

    It's an average.  Both the number of accounts and the ages of the accounts matter.  A strong AAoA can be built with a few well aged accounts.   Again, don't assume that these are one-size-fits-all matters.  If X works for you, that's great.  The next may use a different approach. johnnyconsumer wrote:

    I've had many accounts 8+ banned, I've had to switch aliases multiple times including [Removed for privacy] and others, I make an account and within a week it get's banned, idk if its a ban but when it happens my client crashes then when I try to recover it it says the account doesn't even exist. wtf

  • What's wrong with skype

    Hi.
    After latest system updates, skype started to throw segfaults.

    I thing it has something to do with glib or glib2, because of the huge updates of GNOME libs and packages today.
    Any fix/workaround?

  • What to do with skype

    Well all of a sudden after using the file cleaning program BAM skype malfunctioned
    the view of the person i was talking to on video skype was narrow instead of wide.
    Tried everything deleted the plist file then erased the app and reinstalled it.
    Still the view remained narrow. If BAM had permanently messed some setting up on my mac air then i guess skype would remain messed up but if it did not and i reinstalled the app then why is the view still narrow.

    I started getting the same outgoing traffic this week. Balwarebytes flags an outgoing request to 77.78.2`4.199 on port 61438 on behalf of skype.exe. Lase week my account was hacked and a group of conference callers in Egypt and Indonesia ran up $57 in calls in under 4 hours. Do you have any Skype credits on your account or a subscription of any sort?

    I found out myself when arriving to one in The Netherlands.
    It is supported, and Skype offered me automatically to connect at a given (rather high) rate.
    After the easy connection the disconnect button wasn't easily accessible and to make sure I disconnected, I also totally disabled WiFi.
    Eventually, even after using extremely low time, it ate almost all my Skype credit (luckily I didn't have too much...).
