What's with the version number mess?

Question

So,
10gR3 = 10.3.0
11gR1 = 10.3.x, where x >=1 (so 10.3.1, 10.3.2, 10.3.3 are all considered "11gR1")
Correct?
And in the future, 11gR2 will probably be 10.4.x, only starting with with x=0 ?
Also, does "Patch Set x" apply to WebLogic server or is it only used for SOA Suite? In other words, is it correct to claim that:
WebLogic Server 11gR1, Patch Set 1 = 10.3.2
WebLogic Server 11gR1, Patch Set 2 = 10.3.3
etc.

So your chart is mostly correct but there is a little more
11gR1 GA = 10.3.1
11gR1 PS1 = 10.3.2
11gR1 PS2 = 10.3.3

etc.Patch Sets are consistent throughout FMW releases. So 11gR1PS1 has a WLS release and a SOA Suite release that align.
