  • What's wrong with Adobe's Bug Management System?

I'd like to submit a bug in Flex SDK, but something is wrong with Adobe's JIRAs.
I can't login with my existing ID,
don't get emails trying to reset the password in case I type it wrong,
can't activate a new account as emails with confirmation never arrive.
    I was trying following URLs:
    https://bugs.adobe.com/flex/
    https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/secure/Dashboard.jspa
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks!

... the reply can be interpreted in either way...
Anyway doesn't work for me from any computer, home or work.
Trying to contact an admin shows empty list of these. See the picture:

  • What is wrong with Adobe Downloader?

Ok so I wanted to download the cs6 photoshop trial.  Downloaded the Adobe downloader, but then it does nothing. It will pop up, but no other messages. I try to sign in but as soon as I hit the enter key the downloader freezes and can only be closed via the task manager. Does anyone know what's wrong?
Here's what I've tried so far:
Uninstall and reinstall (8 times to be exact)
    Also ran the cleaner tool
Installed the downloader to every possible location
Signed in before I downloaded the Adobe Downloader
    Turned off fire wall
    Deleted cookies
PS: the downloader gives me no errors at all.
    None of these work.

I tried that but I get this error trying to download the second file (1.1 GB)
    Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS6/win32/MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.7z?" on this server.

I don't recieve this with the other. As of right now this seems like a waste of time.

  • What's Wrong with Lightroom This time?

I have just returned from a trip to Hawaii.  I started importing my photos into Lightroom 5 as usual. The first card went fine, but during the import from the second card, Lightroom stopped working.  I tried to use escape, but the computer siezed up and the screen turned white and the computer refused to do anything else.  I shut it down and tried again.  The only way to get lightoom was to re-register, so I did.  Lightroom came back, but without any of my photos.  So I have lost 17,000 images or so.  If I cannot get them back, I am finished with Adobe.  How should I proceed?

Again, how were these lost - it may be clear to you what you mean, but it's not clear to me yet.

So, entire Hawaii trip contained on 2 cards, no redundent images? - did I get that right?

Find what?  Are you saying you have no backups of anything? Again: is you current catalog completely unreadable? - what happens when you try to open it in Lightroom?

It's OK to describe things as best you can without proper educated computer jargon, but I won't be able to help unless you really get serious about describing exactly what your situation is, to the best of your ability - is English your first language?

  • What is wrong with synchronized(this)?

Is there anything wrong with this?
synchronized(this)I have try to do the following with a monitor object, but I get IllegalMonitoreStateException: current thread not owner when using:

  • What's wrong with Adobe Flash?

Up until bedtime last night, I was able to watch things such as iPlayer and YouTube videos. Today, every time I try to do this I get a message saying that I need to install Flash - I already have it installed, for Pete's sake! I have tried uninstalling my old version and installing Flash again - a procedure that Adobe reckon should take a minute, whereas I've been sat here for twenty minutes already and Flash is only 25% downloaded. I have not installed any new programs or software lately, so I have no idea what is causing Flash not to work; I have shut down everything except this page, as per Adobe's instructions, and installation is still crawling at a snail's pace. I'd just like to finish with a quick moan; I think it's unfair that Flash is the only thing we can download to enable us to watch video content. It doesn't work - I couldn't tell you how many times I have had to restart my computer because Flash has malfunctioned - and I am getting no helpful pointers from the Adobe website.

Hi, sorry you are having problems. If you would post back your Operating System, along with the browsers you use and the version numbers, I'll try to help.
Also include your Anti-Virus program you use and the version. Sometimes this can cause a problem.
    Thanks,

    How???
I have never used a piece of software that hasn't malfunctioned in my entire time usng computers - since the early 1980s.
    Software and machines can error.
That's why we have ways to fix them.
There are plenty of competitors to Adobe.
    Corel
    Quark
    Scribus
    Xara
    Serif Page Plus
    and others
Nobody is forcing you to use Adobe software.
If you want to make a complaint then complain to Adobe - they have email addresses.
Making the complaint on the forums is not going to get you anywhere as this is a User-to-User forum.
And probably name-calling and petulant behaviour will probably not go down well with other users of the forum, resulting in you not getting help at future requests.
Where at times Adobe staff do frequent the forums - they are not obliged to help.
    Remember it's a user-to-user forum:
We are all users of the software trying to help each other out.
A bit of courtesy goes a long way.

  • What is wrong with Adobe Update Manager???!!!

Why in heaven's name can't Adobe fix their broken Update Manager?! Once again, the Update manager tells me that I have updates available, but the information is completely bogus. Two updates are listed: Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 and Illustrator CS5 15.0.2. The problem is that I am already running Photoshop 12.0.5 and Illustrator 15.0.2.
Is it really too much to ask that the Update Manager for this very expensive software work properly???!!!

I appreciate your reply, Steve. But it sounds like you're saying that the way to fix the Update Manager's whacko behavior is to tell it not to check for Photoshop CS5 updates. But that's its job! Still sounds broken to me. I understand that the 12.0.5 security update was issued "outside the AUM framework", but why do it that was if it was going to confound users?
For me, the same thing is still happening today—not just with Photoshop CS5, but also with Illustrator CS5. AUM tells me that the 15.0.2 update is available, but I am already running Illustrator 15.0.2.
It's not a temporary hassle, it's a permanent hassle because the AUM clearly cannot be trusted. It means that the only reliable way to update any of my CS5 apps is to manually go to the Adobe website and drill down to the relevant section for each CS5 app individually. This is shoddy customer service at its finest.

  • What is wrong with Adobe Application Manager?

I didn't know where to post this since I'm unsure what category this belongs in. I noticed yesterday the Adobe Application Manager removed my purchased Photoshop CS6 from the list and added Adobe Acrobat XI which I recently purchased only the latter is showing up as "Try" instead of "Up to date".
Also items that were showing as up to date were not. I ran the update within Photoshop and it found a few items that needed updating. See the attached image.

Separately purchased apps do not necessarily show up as up to date in AAM if they are not part of a subscription/ CC. They may once they have been updated through AAM. It's a bit messy. For your Photoshop to reappear in the list you would have to run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and let AAM reinstall, but since it seems to work for now, I wouldn't worry.

Perhaps the PDF files are corrupted.
Hit the command key and spacebar, a blue Spotlight in the upper right hand corner appears, now type Preview and press return on the Preview program.
Now you can try opening the PDF's from the file menu and see what's going on.
If they are corrupted, perhaps they are trojans from your Windows PC or gotten from a bad location online.
Download the free ClamXav and run a scan on the possibly infected folder.

  • What's wrong with this Forum? Why does Adobe take so long to reply to posts?!

What's wrong with this Forum? Why does Adobe take so long to reply to posts?!
This is actually "specific" to this Photoshop Forum.
I typically get responses back from other Adobe forum promptly.
    Chime in.

The Adobe engineering folks DO duck in here from time to time - and that's a BLESSING!  Please name any other big company where you get to interact with the engineers AT ALL.  I can't.  But I suspect the engineers actually have a lot oof real work to do, and their time here is necessarily limited.
Your comments are more along the line of "I pay a huge amount, for that I expect better support".  These are very valid comments.  But reality is different from what we may expect, and this forum is not the place to expect Adobe support participation AT ALL.  In fact, the technical support people at Adobe often direct users to come here (something I've always found amusing).
At the higher level, Adobe may simply not be spending enough on support for literally millions of users.  Is is greed or smart business to try to minimize support cost?  That's up for individuals to decide.
I suggest you write a snail-mail letter to the Adobe president if you're not getting the support you need.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iphone 5s consumed  10GB data this what's wrong with my VPN kindly guide suitably moreover battery drain fast

The long backups seem to be related to the size of the apps you installed, not the number. That's why some people with multiple pages of apps experience fast backups. There does seem to be a bug with the current firmware that can cause a crash when doing app uploads and syncs. This bug seems to be exacerbated by having large and many apps.
I was experiencing frequent crashes, but have no more - even with 70 apps installed - some of them large like the American Heritage Dictionary which is several hundred megabytes. I did the following:
    1. I set iTunes to NOT do autosyncs every time I plug in. This setting is in the Itunes preferences.
    2. I disabled the autobackups in iTunes for the iphone. I figured that if it did crash and it was going to take 2 hours to restore, why not just reload. The instructions are readily found using google search; it involves a command line setting. Anyway, the phone doesn't crash anymore since doing this.
    3. I no longer install apps using the iPhone. I first install the app in iTunes and the I manually sync it to the iphone. I avoid doing multiple installs at once; at least for the large apps. Right click on each app and get its info from within itunes. If it is large, it is going to take time to backup.
    4. I always first shut off the iphone and restart it before installing any apps in itunes. This clears any memory issues left behind from use.
I am going to continue to do these procedures until Apple releases a fix for the bugs relating to the apps.
As noted, since I took these steps, I have had no crashes. I was crashing at least once every 1-2 days before with the same or less number of apps. I too was a first gen iPhone user and was very frustrated with the 3G experience. Since doing the above, I am once again a very happy and productive iPhone 3G user. I know its a pain to do this, but the bugs will get fixed at some point. I would never go back to my old phones - they were just phones.
