  • What's wrong with mail app?

    each time I try going to sent mails, mail app just turns off and askes me to send a feedback about this problem to apple. I have this going on for two weeks now and nothing helps, restarting nor reopening the app. help me, please?

    Do a backup.
    Quit Mail.
    Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail.  Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
    Re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

  • What is wrong with mail and iCloud?

    I have not been able to download mail from iCloud for 3 days. Does anyone Know why?
    First I am online then I am offline. All network links say I am offline on mac. I have signed out of
    iCloud and signed back in. I have changed my ports, and the incoming and out going server.
    Mail preferences will no longer allow me to setup anything all is greyed out. iCloud has become
    just as frustrating as microsoft windows. I do not understand why it works one day and not the next.
    I never change the settings.

    I am seeing the same erratic behavior across all my devices (2 mountian lion macs, iphone).
    however, I am able to receive new mail (although maybe some is not getting to me?)
    I am seegin behaviors like archive folder empty, vips, empty, mail on mac repeatedly showing mail activitiy downloading all (thousands) of messages.  On my iphone, intermittently i have no folders other than my inbox.  i refresh and somethimes they come back.
    I'm glad to see this post.  I thought I was losing my mind.
    I don't have a solution, I'm just adding to the converstaion hoping Apple sees this.  The iCloud system status has been green since I began having problems so I don't think Apple is aware.

    My iphone 4 speakers stopped giving me sounds when i play audio or video even while gaming. It works fine when ringing tunes of for voice mails, even works fine with headsets. What is wrong with it?

    well i'd seriosly say point a hot hair drier at the speakers as water has entered the phone most commonly via the home button but avoid getting it too hot let it cool every 3 minutes after constant drying. Don't worry I have honestly dont this with my iPhone 4 GSM 16GB. For future reference avoid letting it get wet.

  • What is wrong with icloud mail  and how do I fix it?

    What is wrong with icloud mail and how do I fix it?
    I put the icloud mail login address in the browser, it brings up the login screen.
    I put the login details in correctly, it says icloud has stopped responding, I always send to Apple.
    It restarts and  I get the right screen, below, but all of the icons are blurred out. If you hover over them they sometimes indicate what they are but won’t let me launch them.
    I am using an Advent Laptop with a Celeron processor with Windows 7 and the browser is Internet Explorer  11 for Windows 7.  (I know I am expecting  a lot of it). All of my software is up to date.
    Any ideas? I a not very techy but I'm not afraid to have a go...it communit question. Thanks fr your help.

  • What is wrong with my 2 month old Mac book pro retina?

    I bought a new 13 inch Mac book pro Retina at the end of May 2013. I have been to the apple store and called apple care several times. Now things are very bad. It would crash and give me a white screen every so often but over the last week things have gotten very bad. It will crash with the white screen, browsers and applications all close unexpectedly - it started with firefox then safari, then mail then face book, then adobe and finally iphoto and picassa. I did send in the reports. Also if I had a picture in i-photo my picassa program is set up to grab all pictures - recently any pictures that have been grabbed it says the files are corrupted. I keep having trouble with the air port utility in that it can't find the wireless network and or the time capsuel even though it can be wireless or plugged in by ethernet. I called  apple care and got this very nice tech guy and he tried many different fixes and said he thought the hard drive would need to be replaced so got an appointment to take my computer in. They ran two tests and said everything is fine with the computer it must be the software. So now I'm supposed to get apple care to help me try and save all my data on flash drives! Can't back it up on time capsuel cause he said it would just back up the problem. So this seems overwhelming and I'm so upset. Well, then I thought about it and my old mac book in which all the data and software was transferred from hasn't been erased as I was having so many issues I hadn't done that yet. So my question is if it was the software, wouldn't it be making my older mac book do the same thing? What is wrong with my New Computer? As of tonight, I can't even open anything it gives a quick flash of trying to open and closes so the computer is totally useless - so no idea how to get the data off that is most recent. Apple says they cannot help cause it is a software program but now I have a 2 month old computer whish is useless. Any thoughts?

    Call Apple and make a appointment.
    You have 3 months of care and up to 3 years with paid AppleCare, let them handle it and bring everything in.
    Good Luck

    What's wrong with this Forum? Why does Adobe take so long to reply to posts?!
    This is actually "specific" to this Photoshop Forum.
    I typically get responses back from other Adobe forum promptly.
    Chime in.

    The Adobe engineering folks DO duck in here from time to time - and that's a BLESSING!  Please name any other big company where you get to interact with the engineers AT ALL.  I can't.  But I suspect the engineers actually have a lot oof real work to do, and their time here is necessarily limited.
    Your comments are more along the line of "I pay a huge amount, for that I expect better support".  These are very valid comments.  But reality is different from what we may expect, and this forum is not the place to expect Adobe support participation AT ALL.  In fact, the technical support people at Adobe often direct users to come here (something I've always found amusing).
    At the higher level, Adobe may simply not be spending enough on support for literally millions of users.  Is is greed or smart business to try to minimize support cost?  That's up for individuals to decide.
    I suggest you write a snail-mail letter to the Adobe president if you're not getting the support you need.

  • RE: what is wrong with ui4?

    Thanks all for the responses to my question. Using float constants substituted for integer constants in TOOL code works great (no hex constants though - oh well, a little conversion never killed anyone), and the math operations that I am using on ui4s work as I would expect.
    "No worries, mate!"

    Ui4 works fine. The bug is in the PARSER/TOOL Compiler.
    You cannot use a CONSTANT integer value that is greater than MAXINT.
    If you use FLOAT constants or do arithmetic, you can see that UI4 works.
    The following code:
    uu : ui4 = 2147483655.0;
    task.lgr.puthexline(uu);
    uu = 0xffffffff;
    task.lgr.puthexline(uu);
    produces the following output:
    0x80000007
    0x7FFFFFFF
    Note that putline prints unsigned as signed,
    and using it would give the following output:
    -2147483641
    2147483647

    PS the bug number is 2506.
    PPS The workaround of using LONG might have been for 64-bit machines like alpha.

    Richard,
    Try using the constants 0x80000000U through 0xFFFFFFFFU -- the 'U' and
    the end designates that the value is an unsigned constant.
    I'm not sure if this will fix your Forte problem, but it is needed in C
    and C++.

    Hello-
    I have a potentially dumb question for all of you. I have filtered a
    bug in my program down to what is basically a one line program, which
    assigns to a ui4 the maximum integer constant a ui4 can hold,
    type-casted to a ui4. That is,
    n : ui4;
    n = (ui4)(0xFFFFFFFF);
    Then I output n to a window. But the window's output shows that n
    holds the maximum value for a signed 4-byte integer constant!
    (0x7FFFFFFF or 2147483647)
    I have tried a number of other experiments that have confirmed to me
    that a ui4 is incapable of holding any integer value above 0x7FFFFFFF,
    and that a ui4 in fact behaves exactly like a signed integer, where
    the internal byte patterns 0x80000000 to 0xFFFFFFFF correspond to the
    integer ranges -2147483648 to -1.
    Am I missing something completely obvious here?
    I'm running Forte 3.0.E.0 on a Pentium Pro running Windows NT.
    Thanks for your time.

  • What's wrong with my browsers?

    When i first got my macbook the internet was going really slow but then i changed the dns server to 4.2.2.2 and sometimes change it to 4.2.2.1 and the internet got better but now my browsers are acting funny.
    One moment i'm surfing webpages with safari or firefox.... Chatting with AdiumX or MS Messenger... and suddenly it just stops... Msn is getting time-out's, Safari says I'm not connected.
    But Airport sais it is still connected to my wireless network (with all the black bar's filled). It has valid IP adress etc, But everywhere I want to go on the internet it sais I'm not connected.
    When I disconnect the airport en let it reconnect with my wireless network, the connection is fine.
    how can i fix this?

    Most users shouldn't be manually entering DNS addresses, and those DNS addresses you mention probably aren't intended for end users. Is Level3 your ISP?
    That doesn't answer 'what's wrong with my browsers?', but a good start would be to configure your network according to your ISP's instructions. If you have DNS problems then, you might try using OpenDNS.

  • What's wrong with networking since Leopard?

    Hi,
    I'm with Mac since years. I was a PC User once and spent hours with all kinds of network troubles. What convinced me with Mac right in the beginning was easy networking: It just worked!
    But since Leopard things got worse: I have several MBP's, iMacs, Airport Extreme's and Airport Express's at different places which I installed, and I face the same problems at EVERY place:
    - I can't connect to AExtreme for several reasons: timeout, security incompatibility, ...
    - Sometimes only two Macs are allowed to connect to one AExtreme
    - Airport doesn't find Aiport or any other networks for minutes
    - After connecting to the router, can't get an IP (self-assigned IP only) - other PCs get an IP.
    - Aiport Extreme crashes (yellow blinking)
    - connection loss (even when AExtreme is very close)
    Now I know about networking, about configuration, I've done this for years. Whatever I do, problems disappear and appear again, at different times, at different places with different hardware.
    What is wrong with Leopard? Such problems remind me of times with Windows98 and stuff like that.

    What's wrong with networking since Leopard?
    on my network and many i have setup there have been no problems with leopard. However there are always teething problems with new operating systems. Thankfully with leopard only a tiny percentage of users experience technical difficulties.
    can't connect to AExtreme for several reasons: timeout, security incompatibility,
    is it set to use WPA/WPA2
    Airport doesn't find Aiport or any other networks for minutes
    sometimes my macbook pro takes a while to show up any networks if there are lots in the area this is because it is scanning them all.
    After connecting to the router, can't get an IP (self-assigned IP only) - other PCs get an IP.
    What kind of router are you using? What happens if you powercycle the router?

    Have you tried resetting your AE to default. reinstalling its firmware or checking for a firmware update?
    Have you tried changing hte wireless channel your networ is broadcasting on?

    Did you upgrade install your leopard installation or did you do clean (erase) installations?
    Have you tried created new network locations?
