I just chimed in onthis postregarding website switching, suggesting that the poster really invest intosecurity.It got me thinking, there's a lot of stories out there these days on lapses in security causing entire systems, websites, and even companies getting crashed. I'm remembering Sony's hack a while back, and the major ramifications that stemmed from that!
So the nice thing about Spiceworks is that everyone comes from different backgrounds, industries, and so on. So I'm curious what you all find to be some of the biggest security risks out there, and how you responded to such a (potential) risk. What's a product, service, or even practice you think keeps your organization functioning properly.

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the questions themselves? (Frankly, they have to be the most ridiculous security questions I've ever seen. A good security question should be one that you'll have no problem remembering the answer to, even if you're asked years later. To answer one from the third batch, I'd have to make something up, which makes it unlikely I'll remember the answer later. And I certainly don't want to have to write the answers down somewhere.)

all of the older update versions of Java SE 7 can be found here. If 7u45 also didn’t work with your Yahoo! games, you can choose from any of the even older versions there as well.

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox).

Amazing, I can't find out what app on my phone just ran 388mb of data xfer at 2:44am yesterday while I'm sound asleep yet the LE types can subpoena and search warrant anything I do online and with who and for how long. Verizon list who I receive phone calls from and make calls to and from where I receive messages and to whom/where I text but can't tell me squat about something that is eating up band width. I'm sure it's probably some app that is running in the background on my phone. I've just got to figure out what it is and kill it. I want to drop (cause I don't use it, it's slower than a dial up 1200bps modem)my data plans and save about $50 a month.

I am working with some random logs at work on a Windows computer. I am just learning bash script and cant figure this out. The lines I am lookin for contain error and launcher, and I would like the line on the log that contains both of those words to then be copied to a text document that I can reference later. If you have a valid rescue email address, there’ll be a link to send a reset email to it. Use it, wait a few hours, and check the spam filter.
If not, wait for Apple’s office hours and then phone them.
