What Safari am I supposed to use?

I have os 10.3.9 and Safari version 1.3.2, which clearly is not the lastest, but both 2 and 3 are only for 10.4. What am I supposed to do? My safari doesn't open anything anymore because it is so outdated.

I'm using now Panther with Safari 1.3.2 the same as yo do, I can enter ALL websites I visit. So this has nothing to with a outdated version of Safari. There are users in this form who still using Jaguar Safari 1.x an they have no trouble at all to surf the internet.
So tell me ..
1. what is the trouble you have ??
2. Do you shut down you Mac overnights ??
3. What do you do for regular maintenances ??
You can install Tiger, I have nothing against that, I have also Tiger on my iBook. But before buying a other OSX version there are lots of ways to help you to get Safari running again.

I'm trying to use the Adobe InDesign part of Creative Cloud to design a cover with elements I've created/edited in Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. What do I have to do to get the Adobe programs to work with each other, since InCloud doesn't recognize the pictures in ANY format I've saved it in? (In short, I have copies of the same files in every possible "save" ability that the Elements has, but I still can't use anything.) Since that was directed to me, let me point out that when I suggested you post step by step what you are doing you had not yet provided any link to the create space documentation, so we had absolutely no way of knowing what directions you were trying to follow. And I think at this point we all have the link, so you can stop posting it in every response. Your attitude has nothing at all to do with what programs you've p[purchased or are using on trial, it has to do with ranting and accusatory language. We're volunteers here, and we provide excellent help when folks like you are calm and provide the information we need to help you. Act your age.

You can try some generic stuff like 1234, 0000, 1111, last 4 of your social or your phone number

I have been attemtping to download and run the Firefox Sync software for the Firefox mobile app to work with my iPhone4. After downloading the software I keep getting stuck because I don't know what software I'm supposed to use to open/run the download. Can you please advise me and let me know where to get it.

What paper and settings am I supposed to use?

I have a batch of Bright White inkjet paper left that I bought for my previous HP printer. This paper is from what I can tell still sold in Europe.
There is no profile for Bright White inkjet paper in the B210a, which I bought in Europe. The HP inkjet papers that have dedicated profiles in the B210a seem to be available only in the US and Canada. Only the photo papers have consistent branding and properties between markets.
What combination of European paper and US settings am I supposed to use for best quality on this printer? Should I import inkjet paper from the US while waiting for you to make the B210 drivers and printer firmware support the papers you sell in Europe?

Yes, there are programs that will put a movie on a DVD. I have tried most of the other substitutes including Toast, Burn, and others. None of them come anywhere near the ease-of-use and power of iDVD. IDVD is specifically designed to work with iMovie.
With iDVD you can easily and quickly create DVDs with menus and graphics almost on the level of what Hollywood can do.
IDVD is easy to get. It is available on disk as part of iLife 11.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.

What instance number and config set number am I supposed to use for ODISRV?

I'm trying to get one way sync working from ADS to OID using the OID that comes with Collaboration Suite 10.1.2 on Windows. The sync works fine if I run it manually (I forget the command I used for that). I can see user accounts show up in the DIT. The problem is that the sync never happens on a scheduled basis and it looks like it is due to ODISRV not running even after I did what the docs said and attempted to start it. It started with no errors but I guess the log file contained all the actual errors.
The docs say to specify an instance number > 0 and a config set. Well, it's clear as mud as to which number to actually use. I assmed the configset value happened to match the nubmer in the Directory Manager GUI under the Integration Server entry (which was configset1 for me). I've tried to specify 1 2 and 3 for the instance numbers and I don't know what I'm supposed to use (and some of them are already being used so the command fails). How many instances are there running by default for ODISRV and how many for OID itself? What number should I be using based on that?
Here are some entries in my logs:
oidldap01s1304.log- OpName=search, duplicate while inserting in Hash Table.
My comment on that snippet is a duplicate what? and what the hell hash table is it trying to use? The info isn't helpful at all.
odisrv02.log- port 389/profile grp 999: registration failure, config set 1 already being executed by instance 0
odisrv01.log- port 636/profile default: config set 0 already being executed by instance 2.
oidmon.log - retry counts exceeded are listed for both odisrv01 and 02
In all those logs the those errors keep repeating. I don't need OID on port 636 so is there a way I can stop/delete that while I'm fixing the sync issue? I saw nothing in the OEM website that allowed me to remove the SSL configuration.
If I try stopping either instance 0 or 1 and try to restart I can't because the instance number is already used. What the hell am I supposed to do then? That means I can stop everything and not be able to start anything back up, does it not?
any ideas how to make sense of this mess oracle developed?

There are two configsets by default. Configset 1 is
for synchronization and Configset 0 is used by
provisioning (again, these are default settings).
You cannot have two odisrv (Provisioning and Synch)
with the same instance #.
So, instance 1 could be Provisioning and instance 2
could be Synch.
Have you setup your synchronization mapping files?

the last snippet).Well I was trying to use ConfigSet 1 for synchronization but it either wouldn't let me because of how it is designed or I had screwed it up at that point since I didn't know what numbers to use for anything and it prevented me from using Set1 because of that. I'm now trying to get SSO working between OID and ADS and it seems that OID is too stupid to know that a user exists. I have debugging turned on as much as I can and the defaultIsland log file (forget the full filename but its an OC4J file in $ORACLE_HOME\opmn\logs directory). It says that I was denied access because the user could not be found and yet I see the user in the directory tree and it comes back in a search as well. The krbprinicipalname, uid, and orclcommonprinicipalname (I think that's what it's called) are all the same ([email protected]) and the orclusersearchbase is set to dc=mycompany,dc=com so I don't know why the account can't be found.

You have an iPhone (model unknown)
You have some sort of battery issue (exact kind unknown)
You went to the Apple Store in Sydney (presumably, Australia)
You did not achieve satisfaction on said visit.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what kind of streaming you are talking about or what you are seeing when you try to do so in Safari. If the sites in question are Flash-based, you may need to make sure that Flash Player is up to date in Safari, as noted in this article:

What is the proper way to use the write method?

What is the proper way to use the OutputStreams write method? I know the flush() method is automatically called after the write but i cant seem to get any output
to a file. The char array contains characters and upon completion of the for loop the contents of the array is printed out, so there is actually data in the array. But write dosnt seem to do squat no matter what i seem to do. Any suggestions?

First of all... you should all take a good look at what the read() method actually does.

Pay special attension to this paragraph:
Reads up to len[i] bytes of data from the input stream into an array of bytes. An attempt is made to read as many as len[i] bytes, but a smaller number may be read, possibly zero. The number of bytes actually read is returned as an integer.
In other words... when you use read() and you request say 1024 bytes, you are not guaranteed to get that many bytes. You may get less. You may even get none at all.
Supposing you want to read length bytes from a stream into a byte array, here is how you do it.int bytesRead = 0;

write(byte[] b) will always attempt to write b.length bytes, no matter how many bytes you actually filled it with. All you C/C++ converts... forget all about null terminated arrays. That doesn't exist here. Even if you only read 2 bytes into a 1024 byte array, write() will output 1024 bytes if you pass that array to it.
You need to keep track of how many bytes you actually filled the array with and if that number is less than the size of the array you'll need pass this as an argument.
I'll make another post about this... once and for all.

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

I am using Safari 8.0.5 and OS 10.10.13. The last couple days when using Safari through all my computers using my AT&T internet connection, web pages either will not load or they load very slowly. Safari will indicate it cannot find the site. If I run Safari, using all the same computers, through my Verizon MiFi Connection, it works fine. U-Verse works fine. Mail works fine through AT&T. I am able to use Internet Explorer through my AT&T connection on a work lap top without difficulty. I have deleted caches in Safari and deleted history in Safari. I have contacted AT&T and they do not know what is the problem. When I check my download and upload speeds for the internet using Safari and the AT&T connection, they are slow. When I do the same using the Verizon connection, they are fine. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

You're not alone. I, too, was having the same problem today. I found your question and had seen that you had contacted AT&T with little success. I had gone to ufix.att.com and ran the self diagnosed test and system reset. My pages are loading a little faster now. Hope this helps.

What kind of cloth do I use to clean my iPod nano?

I just got my white nano this morning, and I've been reading all these terrible stories about people cleaning their nano with a cloth only to scratch it up terribly. So, what kind of cloth should I use then? And where would I get it? I heard people talk about displex (sp?) to remove scratches. Does anyone have first hand knowledge that it really works?

AFter I wiped kleenex tissue to clean the fingerprints off my nano, I looked and saw many little scrathes that werent there before. THe sratches were only visible when you looked at the nano at a certain angle and under a certain amount of light. I suppose the scrathes were made because of the little particles in the kleenex tissue. Unfortunatly, the little particles were also left behind on the nano after wiping it so it got annoying having to wipe the particles off.

However, since FB is so prone to install/modify/alter its settings/cookies/environment, I prefer to keep mine sandboxed and access it only via a dedicated browser used for nothing else, thus minimizing the risk and exposure.
