What services do employee discounts get applied to?

So I just found out my job enables me to get an 18% discount for my bill. It says that the 18% discount is for "eligible services". Anyone know what services are eligible? Will it just be 18% of my total bill?
Thanks.

Depends on what your company negotiated with Verizon and which plan you are on.  You may want to ask within your company.  For the discount(s) to be applicable, the Verizon account needs to be in your name.  And again, it depends on your company's agreement with Vzw, but discounts may be applied to portions of the calling plan (and may be only on plans of a minimum dollar amount), the data plan, or both.  Sometimes discounts also are applied to devices and accessories.

  • Employee discount applied to international data

Ok heres my question i know that for international data plans you are charged only 64.99 for unlimited data but are these plans charged in top of the current data plan for smartphones which are 15.00 and 29.00 or its 64.99 for both domestic use and international use? and second if it is charged only 64.99 for both domestic and international does my employee discount still applies to that plan as well?

Not all plans are eligible to receive a discount. The following plans are not eligible for discount:
    Nationwide Unlimited plans,
    Some Mobile Broadband plans,
    Family SharePlan® Secondary lines,
    North America's Choice plans, and
    Month-to-month agreements.

  • Employee Discount without 2 year Contract

I came to Verizon from ATT, where I had Costco Employee discount.I came to Verizon with my paid phones, signed up on Share plan and same employee discount to apply. After 2 months they removed employee discount because I'm not on 2 years contract. I wonder where does it say that on Verizon website?

If that's true it's new to me. You do realize 15 GB is $100 now not $110. I'd get that changed. You do get a $25 discount for each line off contract that's why they are $15 instead of $40. You still should be getting the work discount. Unless they've changed policy or something. Anyway I'd keep the off contract discount instead of being on contract and getting the work discount if you have to choose.

  • Help please, with answer about employee discounts

In another thread on here a self identified VZW support (Katie) rep answered the question concerning how employee discounts would apply to everything  plan. According to 2 separate call center reps, her answer was INCORRECT.  If in fact she was not correct, would the moderator please remove the answer, or if she WAS correct, maybe a link to the documentation would clear things up for us wondering.

Katie is WRONG.  It says right here on Verizon own employee refernce guide that it comes off the data part.

  • Why is my employee discount being taken away?

I recently signed up for the unlimited talk and text and asked specifically at that time if my employee discount still applied and the answer was yes. The price I was quoted during that conversation reflected my complany discount.  I have since been billed the regular rate and a Verizon rep said this was wrong and it would be changed. It was not.  Now I'm being told by a Verizon manager that because this program is such a good deal and a special deal that complany discounts do not apply.  I went back and reviewed current information availabe on the unlimited talk and text and find no where, where it says employee discounts do not apply.  No where on my contract does it that curxrently.  I find this is desceptive and quite possibly illigegal.

Well if my plan as described above is a loyalty plan than I am still receiving my 20% employer discount . I  spoke to a supervisor I believe in the retention department and she put my plan together.  My loyalty plan also Included  $100.00 credit towards my next bill and 6gb data.
If I do have a loyalty plan I am sure I am not the only one on a loyalty plan which also includes my employer discount.

  • EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT FOR NEW VERIZON iPHONE 4 CUSTOMERS

Not quite sure if my employee discount will apply to the voice plan that I am considering purchasing.  Will iphone 4 purchasers be allowed an employee discount, all of the other phones allow this - very confusing.  Any information on how to apply an employee discount to a new verizon iphone 4 customer's account at checkout or after would be appreciated.

you go here and check if your work email works if not you need to follow the instructions of faxing some info or just go into the store and do it there.

  • How do I get access to employee discounts?

I have a question I just got my prepaid phone a Moto G. Today, and I have activated it and all yet when I go enter my phone number in the filed to validate it says I am an account member not owner. I am the owner of the account because I bought the service. If needed and/or requested I can give you my order reference. Number if it will help. Also I thought there was a way to get the discount without having a company email but just send in a pay stub to verify your eligibility.

We'd be happy to clarify all the details regarding your service, Clarkcj. Prepaid plans are not eligible for employee discounts because there is no long term service or payment contract involved with Allset Plans. If you are experiencing difficulty managing your Prepay account online, please dial 888-294-6804 from a number other than your prepaid phone or *611 from your MotoG to reach our Prepay Team who will have access to see what's causing the trouble.

  • Can I get an employee discount on a family member's line?

My employer participates in the Verizon's employee discount program.  The line/plan I would like to get an discount is my husband's line which is a different cell # from my # (provided via work).  Can his line be eligible for this discount?  When I tried to register his # for this discount, it said 'the provided information doesn't match the account profile'.

So you have a phone provided by your work which you do not pay for?
Your husband has a Verizon account with 1 line which I suppose is in HIS name? You would like to apply YOUR employer discount to HIS line.
First of all, you would have to take over his account by performing an AOL(assumption of liability) in order to have your husband's account in your name. He is not the employee, so if the account is in his name it would not be eligible for YOUR employee discount. Once you put the account in YOUR name, the line would become eligible.
The answer, though, is yes you can put an employee discount on a family member's line as long as the "account" is in your name.

  • HT1926 While updating my iTunes this message came up "Service 'apple mobile device' (apple mobile device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services" what can I do to get my iTunes to work again?

While updating my iTunes this message came up "Service 'apple mobile device' (apple mobile device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services" what can I do to get my iTunes to work again?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Verizon never applied employee discount

When we first signed up in a store, the rep told us he'd take care of the discount.  What this meant was that he butchered the company email address.  Once we got that straightened out and were receiving e-bills at said company email address, I *assumed* the bill I paid each month included the discount.  After 18 months of paying what I thought was a bill that included a discount, I called to ask where exactly the discount shows on my bill and was informed there was NEVER an employee discount applied and that it's my fault for not noticing it (therefore no retroactive credit will be applied).

Did they ever resolve this issue?  Same thing with me.  I joined Verizon because of this program, and I figured out after two years they didn't apply the discount!  I feel like an idiot, but I created the account and my spouse paid the bill.  Over two years amounts to over 400 dollars.  Now that my account is up I decided to look at all available plans and offers, and finally realized that the discount was never applied!  They won't offer me anything.  After two years and thousands of dollars, Verizon will not help me with this.  I assumed and trusted Verizon to set up my account properly, but now it's my fault for trusting them.

Be aware that you do not need to purchase SmartNET for your APs.
    Thanks for the ratings, Marek.
Be aware that nearly all 802.11n APs (some exclusion to AP1250) are covered under the new Cisco Limited Lifetime Warranty.  Read through the link provided.  This is why I posted that you do not need maintenance contract for the APs.  The main thing to understand is that if you need to RMA your AP, it'll take 10-business days for the replacement part to be sent.
I have spoken to some Cisco Authorized Reseller and some Cisco TAC engineers who insist that the Cisco LLW don't exist or doesn't apply to BLAH model.  Don't be fooled.

  • What does it take to get my service cancelled?

I am trying to find out what it will take to get my account cancelled... I called more than a week in advance of my move to set up the cancellation of my FIOS home service and was assured that was all I needed to do; I would receive my final bill in the mail. However, a week after I moved, my account was charged and my autopay paid my bill of nearly $200 for services this month in a home I no longer live in, for an account that should no longer be active. I called and spoke with no fewer than 12 agents over that week, including someone who after 43 minutes of being passed around HUNG UP on me! Finally I spoke with someone who was helpful and said my account was deactivated, and in about 14 business days I should get a refund check in the mail. Well, three weeks later, my account has still not been cancelled and I have not gotten my refund! I just called again and spoke with an agent who told me he couldn't help me and I needed to call back another office on Monday. It has been nearly a month since I moved and this account was supposed to be cancelled and I still cannot get anyone to just stop the account! What does it take at Verizon to end my service???

    Hey jayashri,
I'd give restoring a shot, but I'd make sure to back up your content first. You can read about how to do both things in the following article:
