Hi. I can only stream picture and PCM out of my Mac BookPro. What settings need to be adjusted to output Dolby Digital or DTS to an HDMI adaptor had thence onto my AV Processor?
The Audio Midi Setup utility may need to have its settings updated.

Lots of existing threads, but no consistent answer - what settings need to be applied to the 2012 (new) Airport Express for it to work at hotels with an ethernet only connection? I have a very similar problem with my AE! My MacBook, MacBook Pro & iPod Touch (1st Generation) all get a GREAT signal from our AE. BUT, our iPod Touch (2nd Generation) and new iPad (WiFi) get terrible signal strength unless we're right next to the AE!! Tech support at Apple is of no help! I'm ready to sell them all! This all started when we got the last OS update for iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad. So it must be a software issue not a hardware one..

How can apple send out an os update that renders an important function of the software/hardware to not work? They knowingly have sent out this new os update for iPad which makes airplay nonfunctining! I need this for my business! I could understand if they didn't know, but it is all over the Internet! When I went in to have it revert back to os6 (which worked fine!) I was actually asked if I had done any research before I installed the upgrade! As if this is the consumer's fault for being dumb enough to fall for the upgrade!
That is not what I have discovered, nor what others have discovered, nor what I was told when I went the Genius Bar. I cannot remotely mirror to my MacBook Pro and it only started the day after I installed the upgrade. We tested it with an iPad that had not been upgraded, no problem.

I need help sending out long email message from ORACLE PL/SQL.
My message(email body) contains about 4000 characters and comes out truncated somewhere on the middle.
My business requirements do not allow me to send it as attachment.
I am using oracle utl_smtp package and on oracle 10gR2.
Is it possible to send out long text message from Oracle?

What spec is the video output on an ipod?
Hi,
I know when playing movies on an ipod the specs are:
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec.
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec.
But is this the same for the video output on an ipod video 30GB version?I searched all over on the Apple site. I cannot find what you are looking for. From what I understand, the video quality of hooking the iPod to a medium-small TV screen would be around or a bit less of the quality of a local TV station on flaky cable (depending on your provider). Just my understanding. My guess is that the stats are about the same, except, depending on the screen, the resolution and other size aspects would be different.

to have romaing working fine you need to be sure of following:
1) RF designed correctly , and enough overlapping is availble between the AP's.
in addition for environment to be free from external noise..
this can be confirmed with spectrum expert site survey
2) what authentication and encryption used ( WEP , or WPA-PSK no need to check this point ->> skip :-) )
if you are using any authentication like 802.1x ->> then enable CCKM on the WLAN to make more seamless roaming.
3) if more than one WLC availble on site , configure mobility group between them,
so if client roam from one AP in WLC 1 to AP on WLC 2 ->> no disocnnection observed....

If you didn't do that yourself and nobody else has used the computer then an extension may have made that change.

Automatically send out shared review files from hotfolder?
Hi - I haven't been able to find an answer so I hope you can help me.
Basically, I have a group of 10 people who always needs to review PDF files.
Currently one of them is taking care of sending out for shared review but I would like to eliminate that step as it takes a lot of time.
Is it possible to automate this process, e.g. by placing PDFs in a hotfolder and have them sent out automatically for these 10 people? Or is there another option that could completely eliminate the need for a person to send them out for shared review?
Any suggestions are very welcome.

SpeedGrade 2014.2 will not send output via BlackMagic Intensity Pro HDMI to my external monitor.
I occasionally can get a few pixels near the left side of the monitor, and 2014.1 would display the lower half of the frame, but now, after the 2014.2 update, I can't even get that much. Premiere is monitoring perfectly. Any suggestions welcome!
I am having the same problem. I am on Speedgrade version 2014.1 currently and it won't output to either of the monitors I've tried. Both are connected via HDMI.
One is a 22' ASUS monitor, which reads "Out of Range" when I connect it to my blackmagic Intensity Pro output. From what I've read this has to do with the frame size coming out of SP being too large for the monitor.
Next I tried to output to a 50' HD TV. I don't get the "Out of Range" message on this one, instead the monitor is black with an occasional flicker when I hover over a clip or an option in Speedgrade. By flicker I mean the screen flashes a garbled purple mess for less than a second, then goes black again.
I'm running the Creative Cloud Suite on a Mid 2012 Mac Desktop with a 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon processor, 52GB of RAM, and ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB graphics card. OSX version 10.8.5.
Been waiting for this capability for a while, any advice would be much appreciated.

What settings needs to be changed in IE to allow ActiveX Printing?
Hi, Our users are using IE7 to print report. Their preferences for Crystal reports has ActiveX printing selected. When they click on printer icon for a opened crystal report then they get a error message like
One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:
1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or
2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls
As a result, the page may not diisplayed correctly.
and We are not able to print. I tried adding our web site in trusted ones and allowed pop-ups but that did not work.
We are on BOXI R2 SP3 on IIS.

I faced same issue while executing a custom transaction in GUI.
Error like

We have several computers that receive email via Thunderbird. Two individuals received that exact same email. On one of the emails, the attachments are shown correctly (PDF file and a ZIP file). On the other computer, the attachments are also shown but any company logos (.png or .jpg) and other objects in the email (body_part_0.html or body_part_1.vcf) do not appear correctly in the body of the email but appear at the bottom of the email as attachments. I can send PDF files of these (2) different emails if it would be helpful.
Matt: Thanks for the quick reply... both computers have the identical antivirus software package. I'm thinking that there has to be something in the configuration of Thunderbird that is slightly different that is giving the different results.

It is any problem with the application vtok? Since I update my iPad2 system to iOS6.0 I was unable to use this application. The problem is when I tap on the vtok icon, the application opens and closes right away. I removed and reinstall the application twice, but this doesn't fix the problem. When I try to find the application on application store, it's give me a message that the vtok application is not available in USA.
Not available in Spain either. I can't find anything googling for this problem, Vtok's page and facebook page seem to be unmaintained.
It is strange such a widely used app doesn't show life signals.

Stop recurring orders sending out invoices (invoices go from Quickbooks - not BC)
Our client needs to create subscription orders in BC against a client, these recur once a month. BC automatically creates and emails an invoice against these orders. However the client wants to use Quickbooks for their accounts to create and send the actual invoice, and BC simply as a CRM system. BC is automatically creating and sending invoices every month for the clients against the order raised in BC - effectively duplicate invoices of the Quickbooks invoice - which we do not want to have sent out.
Can the automated invoicing be switched off in BC or is there a way around this.

Yes, this is a common problem. The world of EDI is great when you receive XML files but PDFs is what most people send because its a quick & cheap way of doing e-commerce. But it doesn't do much other than save the postage on mailing it. A lot of people also think you just "save" a PDF in XML and you're good to go. Not so. Adobe (or any other PDF tool) does not create business grade XML, its only useable for text searching because the data is scattered everywhere.
When I investigated this a few months ago I did however find that there are some services out there that will map & convert PDFs to XML for you and they offer it as service. One such tool is EDI Link Connect [http://ecdynamics.com/pdf-conversion.php] which converts with 100% accuracy. A lot of the other ones use OCR which is about 95% accurate and that wasn't good enough for my purposes.
Do a web search of "PDF to XML" and you should find a few. Report back on your experiences, I think a lot of people would like to see this service. -

First of all PC as a "stand-alone" machine does not have ablity to send SMS since there is no necessary hardware in it. You can achive this in two ways: first, connect your mobile (method depends on model) to PC and use it to send SMS. Ofcourse it won't be for free - mobile owner will have to pay for it. Second way involves using so called "SMS gateway" provided by GSM suppliers via internet. Most of them, at least in Poland, are well protected against using by machines.
This is all I know about it. Hope it helped in some way
