What should be considered a basic question here?

Hey folks I want some feedback on why type of questions we should consider basic in this forum? I have noticed in the last several weeks the questions here appear to be easily answered from wiki articles or the new book on the SAP Webclient programming.
Instead of me however throwing down the moderator axe, I want the community to decide the type of questions that should be locked or moved to a "basic questions" forum.
Given that the CRM Webclient is now a relatively mature product and the available materials to learn have increased, this should be fair request.
In order to ensure that you respond I'm going to give my thoughts on what should not be allowed
- Any topic covered in detail in the CRM wiki page here unless you need a clarification is subject for lock

Especially questions on how to add a new field, EEWB, AET, or dropdown boxes
- Any topic asking for definition of terms is subject for a lock(i.e something that can be answered via help.sap.com)
- If has already been answered before, then I would propose the following:
1) Post the link in the thread
2) OP responds whether that solved the issue
3) Thread is locked from further discussion and awarding (to avoid rward hunting)
Based on your feedback my goal is to implement the "stricter moderation" post Teched Las Vegas or around October 1st, 2011. I would expect further changes to moderation style as SCN moves to a new platform and moderator tools are improved.

Basically queries like "How To xyz" which are already there on the WiKi should be moved to Basic Questions. These are the queries which are being raised by Consultants who are either new TO CRM or new to SDN or both.
1. How to enhance a Web UI COmponent
2. How to create a Drop Down
3. How to create a F4 Help
4. How to modify the Search Criteria.
5. How to add a Attribute from AET/EEWB
6. How to Create a Assignment block for a Z table.
7. How to default values in Drop Down
8. How to do dynamic navigation
9. How to create Navigation Links for Navigation between 2 Components
10.How to get business Partner ID from sy-uname
11. How to Value node.
12. How to create a BOL
13. How to create a Pop Up View
14. How to get values from Pop up view to the calling View.
I guess these are few basic queries which are being asked N number of times and has been answered twice as many a times.
Reading material and Tutorials are also sought by New CRM consultants which ideally should not be the case.

What should I consider when buying an eMac?

Instead of upgrading a Pentium 4 2.4 GB tower that I have is worth about 50 dollars, I am thinking of getting an eMac. The one I am considering, I believe, is the lastest model made in 2005 or 2006. When considering this model what should I look for or avoid? I saw that some have defective mother boards. Just want to get the best machine possible for that model. Thanks for your input. this computer wouldn't be used much but looking for general internet use, iphoto or iLife and something my 8 yo would eventually use for her school work. Well this would be a seldom used computer, and I really would prefer a Mac that I can use for the basics, Internet, ilife, iWork, etc. And something my 8yo can use for word processing and school work as she gets older. I have an old Pentium 4 2.4 GB that I was thinking of having newer Windows software added to along with some increased memory which would cost (not a lot) something for a unit that isn't worth much in the first place (I had this thing repaired twice due a virus in the past too and it got really slow starting up before I gave up on it, so it needs some attention to be usable). I prefer an apple for this use as I already have a Mac Book but I don't want to spend even 600 for a mini mac so I am now considering a second hand apple for this use and someone I spoke with who sells such said he had one of these. he also has some other things too. I am not super savvy with all the details so really need to find someone to trust for this. Ultimately don't want to spend a whole lot, 200$ ish, since won't really be used much.

OpenSource Dev World - What should I consider?

I'm planning to make an very simple Pacman Update Indicator for KDE.
So spoken a KDE Widget written in QML and the DataEngine in C++
So searching for a lib, I found the ALPM and the pacman tarball as a great
resource of information.
I read the `LICENSE' and `HACKING' file in there, so I know how to style the
code and how to quote and comment my code.
Is there anything I should consider about?
This is my first "self-project".
I already did small school projects written in Java and Python, which I ported to C++ and I got involed in versioning with git and tried to follow the Java/Python/C++ `Styleguides'.
So, as I'm completely new to this, is there anything I'm missing?

Yep, it's a one-man job
I handle it that way:
Structure it basically.
If I don't know exactly how to make it, I start to think how the
programm would work and make one step after another.
After the core works, I recap it and make a real structure
Or if I exactly know what it should be, I make basic headerfiles or skeletons in other languages and implement it step by step.
As I tend to write a lot of comments - in my computer science class everybody says either "You are crazy to make so much comments!" or "I love to read your code" and as one said to my python code:"Wow, your code nice and clean" -
I surely don't lose the logic afterwards.
And I heard that bigger projects tend to have an `architect'?

New to GB, basic question here: from my board to Mac to burn CD...

I have a Roland VS1680 (yes 10 yrs old, but works great!). It has all the inputs, effects, mixing and everything I am familiar with...but its CD burning is slow and old. I would like to come out of my board and into my Mac as one final (stereo) track.. so that I can the burn the CD's from the mac.
How (and where) do I get the music (tracks) into the Mac? Some sort of USB interface is obvious, but what program in the Mac (garage band?) can do this?
It would be nice to bring all of it into garage band as one final stereo track, and then maybe master the entire song as a simple 2 track dealio in GB..... then burn to cd!
Uh, how the heck do I do that? What is the USB interface that I need?

You should be aware that taking the stereo mix from the Roland, and channeling it through a series of extra digital to analog to digital conversions to bring it into GB will degrade the sound, so you want to do as little of that as possible. If you're just messing around, it might not matter, but if you want to maintain the sound quality of the Roland, the extra conversions could dull the audio.
I believe the Roland has a digital out, so the very best way to bring the mix into GB is to transfer the audio digitally. If you can figure out a way to cable your roland's digital out to either your mac's digital line in (if it has one) or into a digital input of an interface, then you can get exactly what's in the roland into GB.

What should be pretty simple install question, but I can't find answer....

Hard drive C = 40, external hard drive G = 160. Want to load/store all music on G. When I downloaded iTunes and QuickTime from iTunes official website, I specified G as drive where I wanted software to go. iTunes went to G, Quck Time went to C. Music ends up being loaded to/stored on C. Not what I want.
How do I do what I want to do?

Set itunes to keep the library on G: You can delete current library and start fresf after setting iTunes to use G: or transfer library using this procedure.

Providing she regularly synced her iPod, her purchases should be in her iTunes library. If this is the case, then you can simply reset her iPod and put all of her data back on it although I don't know if this works with apps. If she synced it before she reset the pass word then you can stop the auto sync, restore, and put the back up on it. If all else falls, iTunes and the App store remember purchases so you can't buy the same thing twice, well at least I haven't. I hope you find this helpful, and good luck getting her iPod back into usable condition.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

If you have been through ALL of the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for investigation.

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
You need to follow, exactly, the instructions on that HT2534 page when creating an account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) - I've just tried it and I got the 'none' option.
e.g. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of my existing account, found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :
