What should i buy to keep my OS X in top performance and free of junk?

What i'm looking for is software that will sort my files on my HD so that my OS X will run smoother, i also want the software to find files in my system that i do not need, like cookies.
And i know that Mac's don't get viruses but i'm sure that sometimes Mac's can catch one, especially when browsing the internet , what can i get for that?

If you are talking about Optimization, OSX does this on the fly. You might make a subtle improvement by using a utility.
As far as cookies, Safari is excellent at managing them. From time to time I also reset Safari which deletes all cookies, cache and history. (Choose 'reset Safari' from the Safari menu.) Note that passwords on websites are usually stored in cookie files so you will have to manually renter them.
My reasons for not using antivirus:
1. The programs sometimes cause problems rather than solve them. (In particular, this happens when the subscription is close to expiring.)
2. Viruses do not effect my mac. (Ditto what the other Kurt said.)
3. The chance of me spreading a virus to my PC friends is small since
the viruses do not run on my machine and I do not forward attachments to others. In addition, most e-mail servers have antivirus now and most Windows users have anti virus on their machines. (They are stupid if they don't.)
To this date no one has received a virus from my machine despite active e-mail and internet use.

    It sets up pretty well, too; I like it more than Mircrosoft's implementation (language bar).
    Only thing to keep in mind is where you buy the MacBook; if you get it in Japan you'll get a Japanese keyboard, which displays most of the kana alongside the keys. You also get the conversion and switch keys on the keyboard itself, which is great.
    The MacBook Power Unit is multi-voltage, so no matter where you pick it up the worst you need is a plug adapter; although getting one from apple would be best. Just don't think you need to buy a new power unit, only the plug and cable.

    You can only return the machine if you're within 14 days of purchase - otherwise you're just 'stuck' with what you purchased (unless you sell it, of course).
    I always recommend that Retina owners order 16GB of RAM as the RAM is not upgradable - it's soldered onto the logic board.
    Your call - if you're with 14 days of purchase, take it back and exchange for a 16GB model. Or sell it and buy a model with 16GB. The higher amount of memory will allow you to run far more memory-hungry apps concurrently.

    I am pretty sure you meant Time Machine instead of Time Capsule. For external HD's almost any external HD would be adequate. The only brand I'm not a big fan of are WD's external drives although some posters have a lot of luck with them. Personally I like:
    G-Tech G-DRIVE series
    LaCie d2 Quadra series
    OWC Mercury Elite Pro series
    for their build quality and features. Personally I use 4 of the LaCie's but any of the others would be welcome on my desk too. If you are interested I noticed Lacie had teh 1TB available today as a refurbished model for less than $100, a great buy! The URL is:

    Instead of an Access Point you could also go for a strong N- draft router(like WRT310N, WRT320N. WRT350N, WRT400N) as you want to place a wireless device about 100' away to cover outside(all the above router's should give you more than 100' feet of range)...Also you will get additional 4 ethernet ports to connect 4 devices hardwired to the router...
    You should connect your existing router from Ethernet port 1 to the new router on it's Internet Port...Access the new router's  web interface and change it's LAN IP Address to 10.10.10.1 and Power cyle the new router, it should be configured...

    Wondering if you have a current Backup on iTunes ...if yes you could put the iPhone in DFU Mode by holding the Home button while you plug in the lightning cable.  Then you could Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings on 8.0.2 and after a full Restore go back and then Restore from your Backup.  This happens every time a public release occurs.  Many folks on the Golden Master or otherwise in the AppleSeed program with a Beta version for some reason don't move to the official release ...then the software time-bomb hits and they can't upgrade.

    you still have the option (before your warranty expires) of purchasing an AppleCare Protection Plan, which will provide an additional two years of coverage. Once your warranty expires, you will no longer have the option of purchasing AppleCare.
