What should I do?

Okay so I feel incredibly stupid. I just bought an iPhone 5 on the 26th, and the battery drained so fast, and I was expecting much better for an iPhone. So, I jump to conclusions, and find out I should try to restart the phone with DFU (I think that's what it's called?) and use the back up. The next day I charged it overnight for 8 hours. So I did that, and although it helped a bit with the over heating part, the battery would go down %1 or more every 10 minutes and with 3G it went down about 4% or more every 10 minutes or less. That was a slight improvement, but not much. So then I go to my carrier, they say I can return it for a new one if I think there is something wrong with the battery, however if there isn't I could be charged or they might be the full price of the phone. Then today I earased everything and start it as if I just opened the phone, and then let the battery drain compeltely and now it's charging overnight again. I did not realize that I should have just let it drain completely in the first place, I was so overwhelemd I didn't even think of that. So now I really regret everything. I am going to have this phone for three years, so this is why I am so picky right now.
So my my question is, if tomorrow my battery is fixed, should I still get it replaced for a new one, start all over? Or should I keep it the way it is? The only reason I say this is because I feel like having to restart the battery so much on the first day it was opened and the second day as well would have hurt the battery, or made the phones performance worse. Is this true? Did doing a hard reset and all that two times almost hurt the phone in the long run? I just don't know what to do as I do have the option ot replace.. but if it does get fixed tomorrow.. I just feel like all those restarts might have made the battery older and whatever.
I wish I wouldn't have been so stupid.

For bands I'd say go full frame, as it's usually in dark situations.  The 6D would be great for this.  However, the 6D is known to have a lot of moire in video.  I'm not a video guy, so I can't speak to whether this is a noticeable concern or just internet banter.
I wouldn't wait for the 7d2, who knows when that'll come out, and the price will be sky high for the first couple of months when it finally does.  If you really did want a 7d2 then I would try to find a good deal on a used T3i to use in the meantime that you can probably sell off for about the same price when the 7d2 comes along.
Edit:  sorry, I don't know much about Sony and video capabilities.  I like my Canon equipment, but I'm not married to them.  If I was starting fresh I'd have a good look at the options and go with whatever company met my needs the most.
