What should i put as problem for my RMA?

Whenever i play a game that uses any decent amount of graphics acceleration, my FX 5900 freezes after about 2 minutes of gaming.  The screen shows all messed up colors and such and i have to reset.  It happens on every system i use it with.  So im going to RMA it.
I had to pick a "Symptom" in the online rma thing"  I picked "Vga function failure".  was that the best choice?  Does it really matter?

That should be fine.

    You need to contact your ISP for the correct settings.
    For incoming mail, the server is usually something like pop3.ISPname.com
    For outgoing it is something like smtp.ISPname.com

  • What should I put on an external hard drive?

    So I have a 13" Macbook Air with a 128 GB SSD. I installed a few games and I'm now at half full. I wanted to install WoW today (I know macs aren't meant for gaming) but seeing how it takes up 20GB, I decided against it.
    Now I want to get an external hard drive to put any excess stuff on there so I can free up my SSD space and install WoW and SC2.
    What should I put on my external hard drive? How would I go about putting the stuff on there? Obviously it'll load slower but for example I'd put photos and music.
    Can you run games from an external drive? I know it'd be best if I just left the games on the SSD for the load time and to not have any lag but I'm just wondering.
    Can you run programs such as iTunes from an HDD?
    Finally, can make a windows partition on the SSD and put all my windows stuff on the same HDD that I'd use for my OSX?

    Yep:

  • Relay pane. What should I put?

    Im confused. What should I put to the Relay pane of the Mail configuration on Leopard Server?
    Should I put my LAN's subnet?
    Should I put my loopback address?
    What exactly is this pane used for?
    Thanks

    There are three fields in the Relay pane. Which one are you asking about?
    If you're talking about the 'Accept SMTP relays' field, then this should be a list of IP addresses/subnets that this server should accept non-local mail for.
    By that I mean that a user on your local network should be able to send a message to this server and the server will relay it on to the actual recipient's mail server.
    For example, I doubt you're running 'apple.com', so ordinarily the mail server would reject any message addressed to a [email protected]
    However, if the IP address of the client sending the message is in the list of relays then the mail server will accept the message and pass it on to the real apple.com mail servers.
    By default this field should have your loopback address (127.0.0.0/8) as well as your local subnet (e.g. 192.168.1.0/24), but you can add as many addresses/subnets as you need.

    If you are talking about iCloud email you shouldn't need to put anything in. Sign in in System Preferences>iCloud and check 'Mail' in the checklist there and it should set it up automatically.

  • What should i put in Schme while creating Data server for XML

    I am new to XML and ODI also.
    I was trying to create a data server for XML technology.
    I don't know what should i specify as a schmea in JDBC URL.
    e.g. jdbc:snps:xml?f=../demo/xml/1/file.xml&ro=false&ldoc=true&case_sens=true&s=LEO_FIZ&dod=true
    here schema is LEO_FIZ, so my doubts is LEO_FIZ is a database schema or what ??
    Please help me out.

    The schema referred to here is going to be used by the XML driver for the instantiation of the temporary schema used for the xml data. It can be any name, I recommend you keep it short, as if you use an external database for the XML data instantiation it is used as a part of the "table" names.

  • What should the"default behavior" be for WiFi network connections?

    I Have been able to at least temporarily fix the plethora of problems encountered after downloading Mountain Lion to my 2009 17" MBP just ten days ago.  Thanks to the time and effort of so many posters that are much more savvy than me, I successfully executed the steps suggested in many of the posts and with good results.  It surely beats running down to the Apple store and being told that I am the only one with a problem.
    Okay,  I've  realized that I don't really know what the default behavior of the WiFi network connection should be?
    Specifically:
    Should the Wi-Fi drop down in Network always be" looking for networks", even though I am obviously on my Network?
    Should the Wi-Fi be connected at all times even when your computer is in sleep mode- or deep sleep mode?  There have been so many problems with Wi-Fi dropping off,slow or hanging loads, etc.
    I unchecked "ask to join networks, in Network preferences thinking it might stop looking for networks when it doesn't need to because I'm already on mine.  I do see my neighbors (four neighbors) in the drop down in Network.
    How do you get into Time Capsule's settings, to check speeds, especially ping?  What should the ideal settings be?
    How do you know if your DHCP license is renewed? I've heard that feature isn't working and may be the culprit to some of the Wi-Fi problems.
    I'll look forward to your help in understanding more about this.  I've been in the support  area a lot lately, I've read plenty of definitions, and explanations of the different options to choose from in Apple's support area, but nowhere have I seen anything that explains what the default behavior should be or perform  like.
    Thanks, as always.

    Generally, you don't want to tweak the wifi settings. It pretty much takes care of itself. The caveat to that is, of course, if you're experiencing problems.
    The 'looking for networks' behaviour only happens when you log in, wake the mac from sleep OR when you click on the wifi icon. You clicking on it tells the mac  "I want to see what networks are available" - so it does a scan for you to check to see if any new networks have appeared since you last clicked on it (or woke/logged in). In short, if you don't want it to look for new networks, don't click on the icon!
    Unchecking the 'ask to join networks' option only applies when your mac detects a new network (such as when it wakes) that you haven't already authorised; it'll ask you to confirm whether you want to join it or not. Otherwise, if the network is open it'll join automatically. You should keep this selected if you travel around with your Mac. It's a good idea to know what network you're on before you start plugging in passwords or typing other things into the mac.
    There is a utility that you can use for ping and traceroute called 'Network Utility'. Click on the Spotlight icon in the top right of your screen and type "Network' and you should see it at the top of the list. Hit 'return' to open it.
    DHCP licences are normally renewed automatically by your router every 24 hours. Again, there's no reason to be messing about with that unless you're experiencing problems.
    If you're experiencing wifi dropout, let us know, and we'll make some suggestions, but if you're not, you're best leaving your mac to manage the background processes. It knows what it's doing!

  • HT201210 I upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4S a few days ago. I choose the option to restore from my last 3G backup. It worked fine but I just realized that I do not have the new apps which come with the 4S. What should I do? Thanks for any help. Léo

    I upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4S a few days ago. When setting up the new 4S, I choose to restore my last 3G backup. It started by updating the OS to version 5.1 (9B179) then restored my apps and setting. Everything went well except that I realized I do not have the new apps which come with the 4S, like FaceTime, HD video and Siri.
    What should I do to correct this?
    Thank you in advance for any help on this.

    Ah, FaceTime is not an app, either. It's accessed by tapping the FaceTime button when you are in the contacts app and have selected a contact. This can also be done from the Phone app under the Contacts tab, or during a call, you can switch to FaceTime.
    Let me know what other apps/features you are missing.

  • What should be the data type for a field in ztable?

    i am desing a ztable , wht should be the datatype for a field if i want to enter values like -1.5 and -2.5 , negative values with decimals what should be the data type???

    declare as P type. TYPE P DECIMALS 1
    Type P data allows digits after the decimal point. The number of decimal places is generic, and is determined in the program. The value range of type P data depends on its size and the number of digits after the decimal point. The valid size can be any value from 1 to 16 bytes. Two decimal digits are packed into one byte, while the last byte contains one digit and the sign. Up to 14 digits are allowed after the decimal point. The initial value is zero. When working with type P data, it is a good idea to set the program attribute Fixed point arithmetic.Otherwise, type P numbers are treated as integers.
    You can use type P data for such values as distances, weights, amounts of money, and so on.

  • Where should I put JDBC driver for MySQL

    I am trying to connect MySQL with JDBC 2.0 API. I have downloaded the driver file mm.mysql-2.0.4-bin. Where should I put this driver to make it run ?
    According to mysql.org, it says "Put mysql.jar in your classpath". I am confuse by classpath. Is it same as the path ? or is another system variable.
    thanks for clear my doubt. ^_^

    it is a different variable, but also in the same file (autoexec.bat) as path;
    set CLASSPATH=%classpath%;C:\JDK1.3.0_02\bin;c:\path\mm.mysql-2.0.4-bin

  • What should be the client url for managed servers in a cluster

    Hi guys,
    I have created a cluster(cluster_1) having 4 managed servers. 2 managed servers on my machine(IP1) and 2 managed servers on other machine(IP2).
    I am able to deploy a xxx.war file on my admin server
    also
    I am able to deploy the same war file on my cluster
    When I try to hit the client url, it gives me back the correct data, but it creates the session on the admin server and not the cluster.
    If I remove the xxx.war file from the deployment(deployed on admin server) and redeploy the xxx,war file on the cluster, it gets deployed successfully , but the client url gives me a 404 error.
    What should I do, so that after hitting the client url, it creates the session on the managed servers in the cluster ?
    My admin server is not the part of this cluster.
    cluster ip:127.0.0.1
    ip1: 10.25.63.130
    ip2: 10.25.63.131
    please help
    Salil

    Hi Salil
    This is exactly what I mentioned in my earlier post. You CANNOT and should NOT expose the managed server url (host, port) to the end users. Because as you already figured out, you can specify only one. Or they cannot try one at a time like that.
    This is where, the Load Balancer will come into picture like Apache Web Server. After installing Apache web server, usually it runs at default port 80. So you just expose the apache host to outside world. Also most companies will have Firewalls and Apache is outside of Firewall and all weblogic servers are inside the Firewall. In apache, you configure the weblogic cluster details like the host names and ports of each managed server etc in httpd.conf file etc.
    Ex: For outside users, they may try like http://apachehost/myWeb/myHello.jsp -> apachehost is the host name where Apache web server is running at port 80. NOW Apache is smart enough to do Load Balancing and Failover. If 100 users access the site with 4 managed servers, ideally each managed server will get 25 requests (load balancing). Also if 2 servers are killed, automatically, request will NOT go to them, but to other 2 live servers etc etc. Apache takes care of this.
    Bottom line, please see my earlier post, and you need to have some sort of Web Server like Apache for your cluster setup.
    Thanks

  • What should my sequence settings be for this situation?

    Hello everyone,
    I'm about to start a project with a few different formats combined on the same sequence, so I'm wondering what format you would all use for the sequence?
    My project will consist of:
    10% DVCPRO HD 720p60 footage from a P2 card
    10% AVCHD 1080i30 footage from a Canon Vixia HF20
    10% Quicktime Animation footage created in After Effects
    70% JPEG images (slide show) of resolutions larger than 1920 x 1080
    I'm not sure of the resolution of the Quicktime Animation footage from After Effects, since I haven't created it yet.  I'll create it with a resolution that matches my sequence resolution.
    I'm thinking the sequence resolution should be 1080p30, to take advantage of the high res JPEG images.  The final delivery will be a h.264 file for web streaming on Vimeo.
    So this is where I need the help:  what sequence format should I use for editing?  Is this a good situation in which to use a ProRes format?  I've never used ProRes on a PC before, and I'm not really sure which specific ProRes format would be best to use here.
    I'm editing with Premiere Pro CS5 on a PC, and I do have the latest version of Quicktime Pro installed.
    Thanks!
    Mike Tomei

    Yeah, I agree... edit at 720, because that's the maximum for Vimeo, and also your smallest footage is at 720... bringing it up to 1080 may make it look bad.
    I've edited mixed footage before, and I generally use the sequence for the "hardest" footage to edit (which is generally AVCHD). I do it no because I know that to be the best, but because I DON'T know what information specifically goes into the different sequences, and I do know that AVCHD can tax my system, so when I have to use it, I try to optimize for it.

  • RE: What should CHOICES in CategoryProp be for windows ?

    Hi:
    - In OEM Extensibility guide, it is written:
    <ValidIf>
    <CategoryProp NAME="OS" CHOICES="SunOS"/>
    </ValidIf>
    <ValidIf>
    <CategoryProp NAME="OS" CHOICES="AIX"/>
    </ValidIf>
    - What should CHOICES be for the Windows operating system ?
    Thanks
    John

    In the Extensibility Guide, you need to look for the definition of the definition of the OS dynamic property:
    <InstanceProperties>
    <DynamicProperties NAME="VersionAndLocation" FORMAT="ROW" PROP_
    LIST="OS;OracleHome;Version">
    <QueryDescriptor FETCHLET_ID="OSLineToken">
    <Property NAME="scriptsDir" SCOPE="SYSTEMGLOBAL">scriptsDir</Property>
    <Property NAME="perlBin" SCOPE="SYSTEMGLOBAL">perlBin</Property>
    <Property NAME="ENVEmdOS" SCOPE="SYSTEMGLOBAL">_emdOS</Property>
    <Property NAME="ENVVersion" SCOPE="SYSTEMGLOBAL">_emdVersion</Property>
    <Property NAME="ENVORACLE_HOME" SCOPE="SYSTEMGLOBAL">emdRoot</Property>
    <Property NAME="command" SCOPE="GLOBAL">%perlBin%/perl</Property>
    <Property NAME="script" SCOPE="GLOBAL">%scriptsDir%/emdlocandver.pl </Property>
    <Property NAME="startsWith" SCOPE="GLOBAL">em_result=</Property>
    <Property NAME="delimiter" SCOPE="GLOBAL">|</Property>
    </QueryDescriptor>
    </DynamicProperties>
    </InstanceProperties>
    So OS value is returned from emdlocandver.pl .... I don't know what the value returned for Windows
    is, but simply run the Perl script on a Windows box.

  • What should I use to scan for Trojans or Keyloggers?

    I've heard conflicting conversations about not using anti-virus or that OS X has built in protection, but I wanted to know what the best way to check for Trojans or Keyloggers is so I can give my computer a looking-over before backing it up.
    I'm using OS X 10.6.8

    Conversations?  There have been a few of those.
    I'm not aware of a tool that's particularly reliable about detecting malware, nor one that might (for instance) catch hardware keyloggers.
    The usual questions around your situation apply; I don't know how you use the system, nor what exposures or risks you might have or might face.  For instance, how sensitive is your information, who has had access, and what are the circumstances associated with the access, and what's been loaded onto the system?
    If you're incautious or blasé about your computing practices and fond of downloading from torrents or acquiring cracked software or downloads from sketchy sites, then the anti-malwaretools generally won't save you.
    In general: just back it up, back it up regularly, and keep various copies of the backups offline or remote, or both.  Backups and caution are among the best available anti-malware tools.
    If you're fond of installing random stuff and particularly of entering your administrative password when prompted — that password is the proverbial keys to the security kingdom, to your address book, etc — or if your login passwords have been compromised (or have kids around that install all sorts of Free Stuff! and Free Games!), then change all your passwords, and install Little Snitch or equivalent, or implement and use network perimeter monitoring.  These monitoring tools catch (unexpected) outbound network connections, such as that Facebook watering hole attack.
    Better still: upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8 as your hardware permits, as 10.6 is rather old and lacking some of the newer capabilities here, such as Gatekeeper.  Disable the Java web start plug-in to disable Java (and don't install Java after you upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8), and remove Adobe Flash Player, and disable the "open safe attachments" setting.  And if you're (necessarily, or otherwise) paranoid, install Little Snitch or network perimeter monitoring.
    If you feel obligated to use a malware scanner (the hit rates on the malware-scanning tools are far from great, and the implementations of most aren't that much different from the malware itself in terms of how the scanning software can insinuate itself into the system and can sometimes then trigger issues with stability and operations), then ClamAV is the usual recommendation around the forums.  OS X Server includes that, and there are various discussions around getting ClamAV going on OS X client.
    Once your operating system software has been compromised, the usual path is a wipe and reinstall, or a wipe and install of a backup prior to the breach, followed by steps to prevent a reoccurance.  Decontamination of a system is difficult, at best.  If your hardware has been compromised, you're in deep sneakers.
    If you want to be or need to be paranoid due to the information involved or folks that have had unfettered access to your system hardware, then check for dongles or other unexpected external devices, and start replacing your equipment. The "better grade" keyloggers can be stored in USB devices, and can be mounted within your hardware.  The better-grade gear can be difficult to locate, short of disassembly.  Also check your local network, as it's feasible to monitor traffic there, whether within a modem, or within a device added to your network.
    Again, how paranoid you wanr or need be here depends highly on what you've been up to, and who might be after you, and a whole host of other details...
