I was using my iPhone just playing some music then I turn the music off and lock my screen and set my phone down. A few mins later I pick my phone up and press the lock button to unlock my screen and nothing happened. My phone will not turn on. What should I try?

and is named. (one or more of these)
com.apple.iDVD.plist
com.apple.iDVDApp.plist (may be ? - not sure this exist)
and find
com.apple.iApps.plist
While iDVD is NOT RUNNING - move this/these file/s out on to desk-top.
Now restart iDVD.
If You run Mac OS X.7 or more - then the Library in the User-account folder is invisibly and need to be set to be viewable. IT IS NOT in the Library on Root level (when opening MacintoshHD - first window = root level)
( It can be done like this: Open Terminal, then enter: chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press return, then restart, and it will always be visible until the next major update, when you do the same thing again. )
But there are better ways to do this - but as I'm only in Mac OS X.6.? - I have no hand on know how - but the above way works if carefully done.

    Safari > Preference > Advanced
    Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
    "Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
    Click Develop and make sure that"Disable Images" is not enabled in the dropdown.

Glad you seem to have sorted things out.
The warning about the warranty is light hearted, I think at one stage it warned "here be dragons" but also intended to make us think as it warns that making changes may produce problems.

My brand new, fully charged, working for nearly 2 days iPhone 4S suddenly stopped working and will not turn on. I've tried recharging and it's unresponsive. What should I try to do?

I've had a similar thing happen to my new iPhone 4S three times. It gets hot and doesn't respond to either button -- the screen remains completely off. I have to hold down both buttons for awhile until the Apple appears and then everything seems fine... until it happens again. Once it happened overnight, so I missed my alarms. Another time, it was while I was at dinner.
Always it happens when the iPhone is on standby with the screen off and nothing particular happening with it. The iPhone 4S is brand new, hasn't been dropped, hasn't been messed with in any way.
Is there a way I can get a trace of what happened before I reset it? The system log (visible in "System Status" and other apps) starts with the reset, so it doesn't help here.

DW won't run - mfc110u.dll missing on PC - What should I try next?

I've just tried installing and uninstalling DW CC 3 times. Once even on the actual Admin User Login account.
I keep getting the message "The program can't start because mfc110u.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".
I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit.
Any ideas what I could try to fix this issue?

Thanks and others who tried to help. The problem has been solved, before you responded, as I was so keen to get Dreamweaver to load I kept trying and trying and finally I managed to get it to load.
What didn't work:
Simply installing the Microsoft C++ re-distributable Upgrade 2013 by Microsoft - over a completed Dreamweaver installation.
When trying to run Dreamweaver, even though initially the Dreamweaver application reported a successful install that error message kept popping up
What did work:
Uninstalling all my old Redistributable Upgrades in the Microsoft Remove Programs Uninstaller
Then uninstalling Dreamweaver with all my saved settings removed as well. I had no saved settings btw.
Then installing Microsoft C++ re-distributable upgrades for both, 32-bit and 64-bit.
Then restarting the machine.
Then reinstalling Dreamweaver via the Cloud installer interface.
After that Dreamweaver loaded up. Hooray!
Maybe some of the things in the list above was unnecessary, but the combination of all did fix my problem.
Hope this will help others as well, should they get the same issue.

Not Starting ....what should I try next?

So working away merrily on my PB G4 and it powers down.
I initially assumed the the power lead wasn't plugged in properly and my very old, very tired battery had ran out. That was not the case.
Power lead was plugged in correctly and amber.
White "sleep" light wasn't lighting.
Battery condition leds - one green flickering LED
Left it for a while.
Still wouldn't power back up.
Left it to charge overnight-nothing.
Tried removing battery and restarting with just ac lead plugged in - nothing.
Tried charging with battery removed to charge PRAM(?) battery (~8hours); reinserted battery; still nothing.
I don't have a spare battery (and I don't want to fork out for one if I can, unless there's a high probability of resolution).
What do I try next?

Do you know that the power adapter is good?
There's only 4 major components in the charging circuit: power adapter, dc-in card, battery, and logic board. Is the female connector the power supply plugs into loose? Can you insert a ballpoint pen and easily (don't force anything) wiggle it? If so, your DC-in card may need replacing. This isn't too unusual. If that jack is pretty firm with no wiggle, the DC-in card is probably OK.
However, clearly you're not getting power into the system. So it can only be the power adapter, DC-in card or the logic board.

MacBook Pro very slow. What should I try?

I am suffering an extreme slowdown on my MacBook Pro, 2.66 GHz Intel i7, 500 GB HD, 32 GB free, 8 GB RAM. I first noticed the slowdown several weeks after I upgraded to Mavericks. It has gotten gradually worse until the machine is virtually unusable. The slowdown effects all processes including booting, dropdown menus, launching programs, opening webpages. If I boot from an external drive running Mountain Lion, it behaves normally until I try to access files on the internal drive. Then I experience similar slowdowns. Booting from the internal Mavericks HD into the safe mode does not help. I have run Disk Utilities on the effected drive from the external drive several times. The disk verifies. The only defective permissions not resolved are:
Permissions differ on “Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Resources/Safari.help/Contents/Resources/inde x.html”; should be lrwxr-xr-x ; they are -rwxr-xr-x .
Group differs on “Library/Printers/InstalledPrinters.plist”; should be 80; group is 0.
Permissions differ on “Library/Printers/InstalledPrinters.plist”; should be -rw-rw-rw- ; they are -rw-r--r-- .
ACL found but not expected on “private/var/db/launchd.db/com.apple.launchd”
I have DiskWarrior but it is not the current version so it won't run on a Mavericks system

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

My MacBook Air won't turn on, despite being fully charged, and plugged into the power jack. What should I try?

I double checked the power connection, it's good. The charge light is green, so it should be charged and turn on, right? When I push the power button--nothing no startup sounds, nothing on the screen, keys don't light up. It's completely dead, as if it is powered off. I don't know if this could be having an effect on it...I upgraded to the latest operating system (Yosemite) a couple of days ago. After that, it wouldn't recognized our Epson WIFI printer. The printer was visible as an option under print, but when selected there was a message saying it wasn't connected. Even after going through the steps to add it agaiIn, after printing one document, then trying to print the next, the "printer was not connected" again. I gave up and shut it down for the day. Used it last night without any issues (except for being unable to print.). Now, this morning, nothing.

Am unable to print from Firefox (used to be able to) even though I can print from Safari....what should I try?

have an up to date Firefox and was able to print to HP printer from internet until recently. I can print from internet using Safari so am sure that the problem is in some setting from Firefox. The printer is chosen in preferences and it seems to send a message to printer but only blank paper comes out....and ideas of what to try would be appreciated!

The download goes OK but the message box where you move the Firefox symbol to the Application logo does not come up automatically. I go to my desktop and click on the icon for Firefox 4.0 .dmg At this point one of two things occur, either there is a circle and slash across the Firefox log and I cannot do anything, or the circle and slash is not there and I can move the Firefox logo to the application logo. It begins to run, I select "replace" existing Firefox and it runs a bit longer. Then it say 1 of 2 files. no enough KB
