What softwares install in nokia E71?

Hello everybody, i am quite new in this forum and i just bought an E71, it works fine and I use the phone mainly for office applications, can you suggest what kind of programs i should install in it,an antivirus? quickoffice 5? ecc.
What kind of antivirus you suggest and can you tell me how to modify equations in quick office 5? if that is possible?

Software instalation on nokia n73

Hello everybody,
I'm new on this, but lets see how it goes...
I just bought SkyeCaller - Full Screen Caller Display software for my n73 and when i tryed to install it i got an instante message on my phone saying "corrupt file" and can't install it!
Can anybody help me on this please?

Are you sure the file is compatible with your phone and not an older model like the N73?
If it is compatible then you should contact the site that you purchased it from and let them know that it is corrupt.
Sometimes files can be corrupted during download.

Problem to update my NOKIA E71 with Ovi Suite

Hi everybody,
Since this morning i've tried to update the software of my Nokia E71 with Nokia Ovi Suite.
So first i save my old things (pictures, messages, ....) and then when i want to start the update i get ALWAYS this message:

It says: "Connexion whith the mobile has been lost"
Even if my E71 is connected with my computer by USB !!!
Does someone know about this problem ?

Hi,
I guess the installation of Ovi Suite is corrupted, please follow the steps provided below to assist you in this regard
Step 1
- Go to Progam and Features in Control Panel
- Click Ovi Suite
- Click Repair.
Once repair is completed then please restart computer and check.
If Step 1 didnt work, then try the below step
Step2
-Go to Progam and Features in Control Panel
- Click Ovi Suite
- Click Uninstall
Also uninstall the following f
- Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
- PC connectivity Solution
Then right click my computer, click manage.
- Device Manager-Ports- If you find anything by name Nokia please unistall ( Dont remove anything else)
Then reinstall windows Installer from the link provided below

- Then restart computer.
- Download and install Ovi Suite
- Restart Computer again
- Connect the device, dont open Ovi Suite and wait for all the driver to be loaded by windows.

Nokia E71 multiscanner re-installed but not workin...

I JUST FORMATTED MY NOKIA E71.
AS YOU ALL KNOW , THE MULTI SCANNER DOES NOT SHOW UP AFTER A FORMAT.
BUT WITH THE HELP OF GUYS ON THE NOKIA DISCUSSION BOARD, I FOUND A SITE TO RE INSTALL MY MULTISCANNER APPLICATION.
IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM.
BUT NOW.....
EVERYTIME I USE IT ON A CARD... AND CLICK THE CAMERA... IT SAYS " READING CARD INFORMATION"
AND THEN... BLANK... NOTHING.. IT READS NOTHING!!!

I have a similar problem with Multiscanner after installing Abby BCR on my N95. The test version of Abby stopped working after scanning a few businesscards and before the one day trial period was over with the message "no contact fields found". The problem is that the businesscard reader in Multiscanner also stopped working, I get the message "No layout blocks were recognized". The textscanner in Multiscanner still works fine, so suspect this problem is connected to Abby since both businesscard readers stopped working at the same time with similar messages. I've tried reinstalling the Nokia software on my phone and then reinstalling Multiscanner, but it still won't work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Steps to reproduce:
- Downloads the following certified theme and dictionary:

@mickh1: please, don't try to suggest any other workaround. I've already tried installing the theme from PC Suite and the bug triggers likewise. This is DEFINITIVELY a bug and Nokia devs should investigate. The themes I've tried are all S603rd compatible and some of them were even tested on Nokia E71: the one I've linked is nokia certified, but you can for example try the Solace theme [1] that is uncertified but comes with special tweaks for Nokia E71. Please note I had a similar problem even installing official nokia dictionaries as I've stated, not only themes.

Nokia E71 trying to install something when I switc...

I have just bought a Nokia E71 from a friend. For some reason I decided to delete apps I wouldn’t use and deleted Top Hits Solitaire and Global Race. When I turn the phone on now it starts installing something and then I get a message saying “Unable to complete the installation from the memory card. To install remaining applications go to Application Manager.” Could this be because I deleted the two apps? Any advice as to how I can find out what it is trying to install and how I can stop it trying to install it?

Install any one of them (or both) as you like. Then, using the file manager, browse to C: drive and then to the folder named "Installation". You'll find some SIS or SISX files over there. Move them to another folder of your own (you can create a new folder for this purpose). See if this solves the problem.
If you feel uncomfortable doing all that, I'd recommend you make a backup of all important data of the phone on to a computer first, just in case something goes awry. Good luck.

No, the firmware updates will come from your network, so it would not be unlocked. The firmware is installed via the Ovi Suite software or directly on your phone.

Assassin’s creed II and Borderlands 2 are in the Mac App Store.
The other’s don’t appear to be ported to OS X. You’d have to install Windows in one of the various ways, Bootcamp (native boot) or Virtualization (VMWare, Parallels, VirtualBox). Games under Virtualization probably don’t run well.

I'm a complete beginner in HTML-DB and I have the assignment to install HTML-DB on a server in our company.
I'd like to install it on a Fedora Core 3 RedHat Linux machine; is that ok? I tried to find the compatibility on Metalink but I was completely confused there.

well, i can see different products now on the download page. i see a standalone version of html-db. can i just download and install this one without any other oracle installation? or does this one need oracle database 10g too?

Have had my Nokia E71 for many years and hate to part with it, but it's on it's last legs. Never thought I'd get so attached to a phone, any ideas on what to replace it with? I liked how easy it was to use, right from the start, and all the extras it came with. I also liked the fact that AT&T was never able to recognize it as a "smart phone", which allowed me to use wifi and did not require the extra data fee they charge.

Depends upon whether you want to change as can still find a few new examples in UK, but not sure about availability in USA. I know that I was disappointed with E72 compared with my E71 which felt much more rugged with it's metal case and wished that I had kept it!
If you haven't got some essential Symbian only applications, you could look at Asha 302 such as here:http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-302-Unlocked-Bluetooth-Integration/dp/B007MPZT2K although don't know about ATT recognition.
