First check to see if your Mac meets the basic system requirements for Lion:
General requirements
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space

Once you have satisfied yourself that you have the hardware to run it then you can take the next steps which will be to get upgraded to Snow Leoppard in order to have the App Store on the computer.

I've done this before. First, I had the current acct owner call in and say it's okay for me to assume liability on the line. Next, I called in and explained that the owner already called and gave permission for me to assume the line. Notes were on the account. I was transferred to the assumption of liability dept, I accepted the terms and conditions and we were good to go. The old owner will get a final bill up until the point of transfer and you will get a new bill starting at the point of transfer.

You should use Airport Utility, in your Utilities folder (or you can search for it in Spotlight, the magnifying glass in the top right of your screen) to administer the Airport. There, you can change the wireless network settings, including the network name.

Whenever I turn my iPod mini off, it seems to go back to the main menue.

Depends on how long you are leaving it turned off. If it's more than enough time for the iPod to go into deep sleep, then when next you turn it on, it restarts with the Apple logo and returns to the main menu.
If it's only for a few hours that you leave it turned off, then the iPod should resume from the point at which you left it.
I don't know for sure whether the "remember playback position" in iTunes works after the iPod has been in deep sleep.

Hi, I am traveling to Romania in a few days. I called Verizon Global Support and had them unlocked my sim card for the 4s.
They told me there was some steps I had to take after they unlocked it and I will find these steps on the Apple website.
Well I cant find what they are talking about and my search on the internet is not giving what I want.
I see things about Sprint 4s and that u must connect your phone to Itunes to complete the unlock process is this the same for verizon ?
The Verizon Rep told me I will be able to use a Internation Sim but I had to connect my phone to a computer after replacing the International sim and go threw a whole process of Restoring and resetting my phone threw Itunes. Is there true ? I dont not have a internation sim with me is there any other way to see if its unlock and how the process is ? Do i need to set my phone to only run on GSM when I get there or will the International sim automatically switch the band ?
I know its alot of question all at once but i just want to get to the point.

If you want to sync it to the iPad from that Mac, you need to upgrade it to at least 10.5.8.
If you want to copy the music to another Mac, you don't. Move the iTunes folder of the item in the Finder's sidebar over as you would any other folder. If you put it somewhere other than the Music folder, launch iTunes with the Option key held down and point it to that location.

Here are the
Tiger System Requirements,
and the Leopard System Requirements.
Those are the bare minimum, and more RAM is generally recommended.
Tiger is again, available for purchase at The Apple Store (U.S.).
And Leopard 10.5.x, can be also purchased at The Apple Store (U.S.).
If you know what to look for, a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD, can be purchased, sometimes less expensively, at some online Apple retailers, Amazon, eBay, FastMac, HardCore Mac, AllMac, etc.
Be sure not to purchase grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.
The discs should look exactly like the images in the above links, and not say Upgrade, CPU Drop-in DVD, or "This software is part of a hardware bundle purchase - not to be sold seperately." on them.

I had/have Windows XP and IE8. I installed an earier version of Firefox a long time ago, and it didn't work for me. I double clicked on my icon each time I went online, but it seemed my browsing always defaulted to IE8, so I uninstalled it.
I'm still not real happy with IE8, so I'm looking into installing Firefox again. I can't find anything that would explain why I couldn't use it before. I must have erred somewhere. Do you have any suggestions?

Steps to take to upgrade from Leopard

I desperately need to upgrade my iMac 27" as I am still running Leopard. Facing a number of issues with Flash as I need Mac OS X 10.6 or higher.
I would like to upgrade to the most recent version is possible. What steps will I need to take?
My system is as follows:
iMac 27"
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Version 10.5.8
Do I have to order the cd's for all the versions going forward? Are any of these available for download or cd only? Also, I am located in Canada.
Any help or direction in this regard would be greatly appreicated.

Although it appears the rest of your hardware can handle up to Mountain Lion 10.8, you will need more RAM. Lion 10.7 introduced the min RAM needed of 2GB and more is better.
Do "About this Mac" and, in the resulting window, click the "More Info..." button to launch System Profiler. Profiler's first screen looks like this:
except yours with say "iMac" instead of "MacBook Pro" in the example. Please post the info following "Model Identifier" (the second line) and we can accurately advise what RAM upgrade path will work for you.
There are several 2.4Ghz iMac Core 2 Duo models and not all take the same RAM nor do they have the same max RAM capacity. That Model code will let us preciesly identify your model and make well-targeted suggestions.
Also if you give us a rough idea of where you are located geographically, we may be able to point you to RAM vendors that have high-quality yet affordable RAM for Macs.
