What this mean? "could not rasterize because the pixel data for this layer is not"

I've taken a color picture and made it black and white by doing the following: Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation. I brought the saturation down to -100. The pencil is selected and my foreground color is black.
When I try to select the flowers in my picture to bring out their color (within the black and white image), I get a circle with a black line thru it and the error message "could not rasterize because the pixel data for this layer is not directly editable". The steps I followed are working for most of my team but some of us are getting this error message.
Any idea why and/or how to fix it?

Ah, thank you! I didn't have the mask selected. So once I did select it, the color came thru like magic.

I've searched for an answer to the problem I'm having on cs4 and can't find it, so here goes:
New to photoshop, I'm trying to fake some depth of field (i.e blur the background) on a wedding photo by using the masking tool to mask out the foreground then, out of mask mode> select>inverse to get the dotted line around the image, then using Filter>gausian blur on the background.
1. The dotted line around the image doest look right
2. I can't use the filter facility (its greyed out) and when I try to use the blur tool from the side menu got the above message.
Any help much appreciated.

Which operating system are you using?
I'm using Mac Lion V 10.7.5, working on a photoshop cs4 trial version (could be the problem?).
I Used the quick mask mode to mask the area.
Here's a screen shot - (I have blacked out some of photo for subjects' privacy):
- mask mode turned off, then Select>Inverse to show unmasked area (note, the dotted line continues round the bottom of the pic which indicates to me I have made a masking mistake, as dotted line to mask out background only should go round the top & sides of the photo and then outline the couple, - right?
Image mode of image: If I understand correctly what this is, the image mode is .jpg
Bit depth of image: Bit depth of image is 8, color mode is RGB.

Java 1.4.2_03 Windows: The configuration data for this product is corrupt.

Trying to install j2SE 1.4.2_03 JRE on a Windows system (exact version needed for a bussiness application) after all previous Java installations have been deleted and all Windows Registry Java related keys have been manually deleted with Regedit.exe.
The EXE installer works properly in other machines but in this one it stops after a few seconds with the following message:
"The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel".
The problem is related to the Windows install mechanism rather than the Java installer itself and likely caused by the manual Registry deletion.
The error code is 1610: ERROR_BAD_CONFIGURATION.
Reinstalling Windows didn't fix the problem.
Unable to recover the system to a previous state with the System Recovery Tool (Accesories/System Tools).
Other versions of Java installers fail the same way and show the same message.
I don't know how to contact "my support personnel" nor who they are.
I'd appreciate any help about this problem or what Java installers need within the Registry to work or a clue of any kind.

A new downloaded copy of the file or other versions of Java failed to install with the same error message.
I've learned there is a product ID in the registry that must be present for the installer to run. I'm searching for this "mysterious" product ID and how to set the right Windows XP Registry entry for the JSE 1.4.2_03 version.
I'm still not sure this will fix the problem.

Have use WinRAR to pull out only Bonjour64 from iTunes 11.1.5 (and prior releases) to do an install of only Bonjour, as all other iTunes-related software loads fine (have used 11.1.4 and new 11.1.5). I get the error: "The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel." Have tried everything suggested on net and this forum, including uninstalling everything, cleaning registry, disabling firewall, etc. Not worthwhile to reinstal Windows 7. What do I do?

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:

BAdI /SAPAPO/DM_PO_MNTN - CT_ORDKEY is not populated with the order data for PO Memo

Dear All,
I have done enhancement in the ERP system by adding the customer specific field ZZ_RESWK in structure CIFPUORCUS. This field is filled in the ERP user exit EXIT_SAPLMEAP_001, for the Purchase order (category BF & BG) and PO Memo (Category AH).
Now, in APO I have implemented the BAdI /sapapo/dm_po_mntn, and in the method "Change" I am passing the field zz_reswk to ct_ordkey table field reswk, so to write the field in livecache.
This set up is working for order category BF and BG. However, when I am transferring the PO memo (Category AH) from ERP to APO, the the BAdI internal table ct_ordkey is having no records. Hence I am not able to write field reswk for the PO memo in the live cache.
Any one have any idea, why there is not data in ct_ordkey for PO memo ?
Note: The data transfer from ERP to APO is using IDOC.

for Contribute I keep getting this message when putting files:

Lock front panel until the event case for this event completes

A Dynamic Event is a filtered event? Is this why "Lock front panel until the event case for this event completes" is not shown on Edit Event window dialog? I use Dynamic Event so I can subvi the event structure.
I need stop my app from locking the FP whenever the user double clicks on the numerical array value (<-- the FP freezes the mouse and renders it useless) and stops the value from ever being changed. This event is registered for Value Change (not mouse up or down) and I get a locked mouse. As yet in the UI, no value changed occurs but I get a locked mouse. A LV bug?
Trying to KISS, I can see this fixing this by moving ONLY the value change event to the top level VI instead of a dynamic registered event in a subVI. This will give me the option to NOT "Lock front panel until the event case for this event completes" .

Its situation like what you described that has given me many insights into how LV actually works. In one of my bbuggy VI's I found that a class wire can run a million miles through multiple sub-VI queues etc but the data itself is only touched when it has to be touched. in my case it was a crash while trying to write bogus class dat to a TDMS file.

We have some issues with AP Data loading's into our DW from EBS 11.5.10 AP - PAYABLES.
One of our customer is using split schedule and share payment into few payment. Our
sql is not reading all the due dates for PAYABLES.
We are using PAYMENT_NUM=1 from ap_payment_schedules_all table as condition to load the Data to avoid duplicate rows coming for Payables.
Some hints: removing the "PAYMENT_NUM=1" from the where clause gives all the due_dates but then we have duplicate rows for Payables.
Please help to modify our query so that it will work for split schedule payment.

The digital signature for this package is incorrect- error itunes install

I won an ipod shuffle at MacWorld Wednesday. I need to update my itunes to 7.02, but keep getting this error after install is attempted:
The digital signature for this package is incorrect. The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by “Apple”.

Ok..... got no help, but through lots of trial and error found the following. If I download the file my work on a flash dirve it installs fine. Best I can see is it must be some issue with my Netgear router.
Try downloading on another system. File comes in as .dmg and then opens to a .mpkg when all is fine. Mine would never open the enclosing folder.

Delivery grouping and the delivery date for group in SD

Hi
Using a userexit I am grouping certain materials together. However the delivery date for group field is not picking up the expected date.
Assume the following example:
Material X            Delivery Date 20.12.2006
Material Y           Delivery Date 27.12.2006
If I group them together I expect the delivery date for the group to become 27.12.2006 however it is picking up 20.12.2006.
If anyone has some thoughts regarding this they would be most appreciated.

Yeah got ur point i was mapping the table configuaration for ur reference.
This grouping is supposed to make sure that all materials are delievered at the same Date (VBEP-EDATU) and must use the last date in the delivery group.
say materials X -- DELIVERY DATE 20 12 2006
                     Y -- DELIVERY DATE 27 12 2006
so the matnrs are avalaible in VBAP along with for the VBELN and POSNR values now pick the delivery date for this material from VBEP   ,,
Now once the itab is sorted by delivery group and EDATU descending .
so X and Y are present in for delivery group 001 say .
X -- DELIVERY DATE 20 12 2006
Y-- DELIVERY DATE 27 12 2006
after sort by date it will be
Y-- DELIVERY DATE 27 12 2006
X -- DELIVERY DATE 20 12 2006
which will pick up the latest date (or max date)
Tis was what i meant to say.
