What to delete from drive c

Please, i need someone to advise me on what i can delete from my drive c on my nokia e7. The memory is almost full and i have the cache but still i see no much results. I downloaded x - plore and it shows me a lot of things on the memory.
My problem is that i don't know what to delete since i am afraid i may end up destroying my phone. Can someone please help me by telling me some of the things i can delete without destroying my phone?

Some typical suggestions for clearing drive space are;
Uninstall applications, games, utilities  you do not use.
Transfer any photographs, video files and music files stored on the C drive to the memory card or a computer.
A large number of text messages and e-mails in your inbox can start to eat up space too. Clear them out.
If you can connect the phone to Nokia Suite and a computer. Nokia Suite has a function to clear space on the drive and it will not get rid of any important system files

  • What are the iphoto files I need to restore iphoto library deleted from drive

A few days ago my hard drive started making noises and I was getting all sorts of errors.  I even got errors trying to do a time machine backup with the final error being "backup failed".
Earlier last week I imported a couple hundred photos of my kids from Christmas to present which also included our vacation last month.  I deleted the photos from my camera after the import.  Then foolishly, I didn't think to do any time machine backups between then and the time my hard drive started making noise.
I bought a new SSD drive.  I could still access the bad drive so I moved my pictures directory from the bad drive to the new drive.  It took nearly two hours.  It appeared to have moved everything, but it did not move the iphoto library.  The pictures directory is gone from the old hard drive.
I purchased FileSalvage and recoved thousands of deleted jpg files from my old drive, but none appear to be the pictures I lost.
It appears that FileSalvage will recover specific file types.  There doesn't seem to be a way to just tell it to recover the deleted "pictures" directory or recover "iphoto library".
If I was able to specify specific file names to restore, what files would I even need to specify?   I have iphoto 11.
I came across an article about iphoto library files from iphoto 6 and previous versions which explained the following iphoto files: library.iphoto6, albumdata.xml, Thumb32Segment.data, Thumb64Segment.data, ThumbJPGSegment.data, etcxxxxx.
    mmm
Does iphoto 11 use similar file names?  I'm not concerned with keeping my iphoto database in tact.  I just want my pictures.
Maybe I'm asking the wrong question.  Any advice on how to get my pictures back would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!!
    MH

Simply, you can't recover the iPhoto Library. What you need to do is try recover the Photos that were in it. These will be saved as jpeg files* and that's what you need to search for. Recovering all the other files will do no good. You won't be alble to reconstruct the Library. Your aim is to get the Photos and then start over.
The search may find many files of the same name, try to recover the largest files - they are most likely to be your originals.

  • What happens when you got Setting; iCloud, Account and hit "Delete Account" . What get deleted from where?

When mywife set up her iPhone for iCloud, she entered my  .me account the she uses for purchases rather than hers that she wants to sync contacts, etc.. from. Can she simply go to settings, icloud, account and 'delete account' and then add the correct one? delete scares me ;-) And it MY account. Not sure what is getting deleted.

    Should be under
Settings - > iCloud -> Remove account (Big red button at the bottom of hte list)

  • Is it possible to restore what iTunes deleted from my iPhone?

    Hello
I am using two notebooks, one with Windows 8 and one with Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I usually use the Windows notebook to charge or sync my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.4), but I forgot it at work, so a few minutes ago I connected my iPhone with the Snow Leopard (I don't have any internet connection except carrier 3g network, and my iPhone doesn't allow me to tether it to the Mac), but I couldn't authorize iTunes. Suddenly all my applications dissapeared. I have two apps on my iPhone for work, who store some sensitive data related to my job. And now they are gone.
    1. Is it possible to restore these apps and the data I lost?
    2. Why does Apple require internet connection for such things, when some people don't have?
    <Edited by Host>

The iPhone is designed to sync to a single computer. It seems as though you had the Mac set to automatically sync when an iPhone was connected. Bad move on your part. It should, however had prompted you not to sync or you would lose content.
If you have been syncing this to the computer at home (Win8), then your content should be there, and you could restore to the latest backup you have on that computer.
Not sure the answer to the Internet question, but depending on what you were doing, the Internet is not necessary for a regular sync.
You are the one that chose to connect the phone to the other comptuer. Apple didn't force you. No grounds for any kind of litigation.

  • Deleting Lightroom images from drive, not simply removing them

Calender has the option that the user input is deleted after some time which can be specified. Now, what is deleted ? All the user input including e.g. markings which are repeated every year ( like birthdays) ? I would not want to test this...

Anybody ? What is deleted from the calender ? All the user markings or just the ones which are not repeated ?

  • I've copied my itunes library onto an external hard drive.  Is there any way I can do this and delete songs from my PC without also deleting from the external drive? Already lost two songs!!!

I've copied my itunes library onto an external hard drive.  Is there any way I can do this and delete songs from my PC without also deleting from the external drive? Already lost two songs!!!  I just want a back up - using a work PC and don't want others accessing my songs.  Hope someone can help.  Thanks!

I see. To get a better idea of what is being stored where please download and run the script iTunesInfo which should output something like this:
I'm interested in the block of 4 results starting ITL location. If your profile name shows up somewhere replace it with <Name>.  It is also worth checking under Edit > Preferences > Advanced to see where iTunes thinks your media is supposed to go. My script estimates the setting based on the location of the first media file it can actually find.

  • Why are my photos from iPhoto library deleted from my external hard drive when I am only deleting them from my internal drive?

I did a backup of photos (iPhoto library) from my internal to an external hard drive.  I have started to delete photos from my internal hard drive.  It seems that when I delete from the internal drive, photos also delete from the external.  I did a test and deleted one photo from iPhoto internal drive.  When I plugged in the new backup (external drive) and clicked on iPhoto library, it opened iPhoto in the exact place I was working and that one photo was gone.  What do I do?  I do not want to delete the photos off of my external hard drive.

When I plugged in the new backup (external drive) and clicked on iPhoto library, it opened iPhoto in the exact place I was working and that one photo was gone.
When you clicked on the library iPhoto on the EHD iPhoto is op;ending the last library that was previously opened. To change libraries launch iPhoto with the Option key held down to get this window:
Then select the library that is on the EHD if it's in the window. If it isn't, click on the Other Library button, navigate to the EHD and select the library there.

  • What files can delete from my imac in order to back up my ipad to my computer.

What files can delete from my imac in order to back up my ipad to my computer.

If it is a matter of storage space, any files you no longer need or can move off to an external drive. If that isn't what you mean, you might want to post some additional details.

Hi I bought 2TB WD my passport for mac but I do not know what I can delete from the original macbook air. Thank you.

That depends on what you have on the MBA...if you have videos, move the videos to the external drive.  If you have a lot of music, create a folder/library for the music and point iTunes there for the music.  If you have a lot of photos for iPhoto, make a new library on the external drive and move our photos over there and then select that library as the default library for iPhoto to use.
Those are the big files and should take a lot of the load off the internal storage.

  • IPhoto 08 - Loosing photos, iPhoto automatically deletes from hard drive!

    Hi,
    I am using iPhoto 08 v 7.1.5 on Max OS X 10.6.4
We are 2 users sharing the same iPhoto library and after ongoing issues with permissions I have moved the iPhoto library (as per Apple's instructions) to a Sparse Disk Image on the Shared folder and changed the permissions for all to rear&write - then copied the library to this Disk Image and pointed all iPhoto libraries there.
Worked well until we started to import photos from a camera. From my profile it imported the photos, but then when copying them to the library come up with an error 'File is corrupt'. I started iPhoto in shift&option mode and repaired permissions. This fixed it and I could import.
The other user imported photos yesterday from their profile. No errors on import and the photos were property loaded into the library. I did check the library AND the files in the Finder - all was well. 2 hours later, ALL FILES HAD GONE!!! There were no trace of the files. Not in the trash (iPhoto or System) - I searched the whole drive, GONE!!!
I am a bit freaked, if iPhoto is going to delete files permanently from the drive its NOT good. The photos were already deleted from the camera so they are gone for good.
Has anyone experienced the same or got an explanation??
    Appreciate any help with this!
    Cheers
    Chris

I've seen this mentioned on here a couple of times. Tracing it with these other users what seems to occur is that iPhoto imports the photos to the database but fails to copy the actual files into the Originals folder.
I'm not sure why this happens.
If you haven't used the camera since you can recover the files from the card with an app like MediaRecover

  • Identifying songs in itunes library that have been deleted from hard drive

    Hello,
I recently had to delete a bunch of music from my hard drive by accessing it from another computer in the 'target disk mode.' Now I've got the computer up and running again but I don't want to go through my itunes library selecting each individual track that is no longer on my hard drive and removing it. Is there any feature in itunes 7 that will remove files (shortcuts) in the library with no source file in the itunes music or any other folders?
    thanks

    I'm running a managed library.
Let me see if I can understand this. The problem has to do with the place I was looking at. I was looking in the pictures folder in the hard drive. Now, the pictures inside the iPhoto library are the ones that are deleted from the hard drive, and the ones in the Pictures folder are not being touched at all. So I have two separate folders with pictures: the iPhoto library folder and the Pictures folder inside the hard drive.
Since I'm going to be using iPhoto exclusively I might as well delete that other Pictures folder in the hard drive. If I delete the pictures in this folder, would that affect the pictures I have in the iPhoto Library? I'm thinking no since iPhoto has made copies of all those pictures. What do you think?

  • Photos I delete in library are not being deleted from hard drive

Help please. I have been trying to delete photos from the iPhoto library (Events and Photos) and emptying the iPhoto trash can. This is supposed to erase them from the hard drive. However, when I look in the hard drive in the Pictures folder, the photos I deleted are still there. Could someone tell me what might be wrong? Thanks!

  • Old podcasts not being deleted from hard drive

Can anyone help me with this problem? I currently have the "keep only unplayed podcasts" selected. ITunes synchs great with my Nano. If a podcast is played, it is taken off of the Nano.
The problem is that the podcast is not also deleted from my hard drive. I have to manually delete the file and "move to recycle bin." Does anyone know a way of having ITunes actually delete the file from the hard drive? I don't want to waste so much space.
    I am using ITunes 7.
