I got a new dell desktop last week with MS office 2013 and adobe acrobat x standard preinstalled. When I try to create a pdf from several different excel tabs and click on "choose sheets" it immediately comes back with Microsoft visuall C++ runtime liberary error. I've uninstalled both programs and reinstalled ms office first and adobe 2nd but it's doing the same thing. Help!

If you do the updates to AA X it might work with OFFICE 2013 (makes a difference if you are on a 32 or 64-bit OFFICE install also). By work with, I mean the PDF Maker macro works. In any case you should be able to print to the Adobe PDF printer (though on a 64-bit system you may have to do the updates to get it to work).

What is causing this Runtime Error!

I have been using Adobe Reader for years and had 9.0 loaded on this laptop. I do lots of .pdf files and spreadsheets. Two weeks ago I allowed an update for Adobe and ever since then I get a Runtime Error! every time I try to open one of my saved .pdf files or even the one that I just formated and saved, it won't reopen. I have VISTA and prior to this update, I had no problems with Reader at all. Shortly after clicking on the .pdf file I get this window -

Runtime Error!
Program:C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Reader9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

I have tried to research the Adobe site for help and even contacted Adobe by phone with no success. I've called twice and been put on hold and tonight after 28 minutes I finally hung up. I went into my Control Panel and uninstalled Adobe Reader 9.0 and downloaded & installed Reader 9.3 and still have the same problem. I can save my files on a thumb drive and open any .pdf file on any other computer that has Reader. What is the problem with this laptop since that update two weeks ago? This is causing me lots of lost work and duplication.
Thanks for any input on how to correct this problem. I currently have Reader 9.3 loaded.

What to do about an "error downloading updates" to CS5

After a system restore in Windows 8, I reloaded my CS5 program, but components of Camera Raw were missing, specifically the horizontal, barrel, and vertical lens corrections. When I try to download updates to CS5, it appears the updates are down loading, but at the end I get only an error messagin saying updates failed to download; try again later. Any suggestions?

You need to add an entry, or double check that your entry is correct in your TNSNAMES.ora file in /Network/Admin directory. You need to have an entry for every database instance you have.
For example if you have a database called TEST then your WINNT/Network/Admin TNSNAMES.ora file needs an entry that looks like the following:
test.world =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS =
(COMMUNITY = TCP.world)
(PROTOCOL = TCP)
(Host = oracle)
(Port = 1526)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SID = test)
(GLOBAL_NAME = test.world)
Ofcourse the host and port..ect will equal what your database server says.

I just received the following error message in Lightroom 4 "This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Row plug-in version 7.3 for full compatibility. Please update the Camera Raw plug-in using the update tool available in the Photoshop help menu." I have the latest Lightroom as well as Photoshop versions. I don't think I should be getting this message. Can anyone help?

If you do not have CS6 but an earlier version of CS, this message makes you aware that your previous version has not the latest ACR installed and thus cannot open your image as Raw-file.
And, you cannot install the latest ACR in previous Photoshop versions. They don't accept the latest ACR.
The solution is to let Lr render the Raw-file, i.e. Lr creates the PSD (or TIFF) and sends it to CSxx.
You choose this option by selecting <Render using Lightroom>.

Error -50 is a very unhelpful generic communications error with a number of possible causes. Something between the drive to which you are downloading and the drive from which it is all coming is not working correctly, which probably leaves several hundred options.

Runtime errors and PDFs not opening

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what i need to do to fix Adobe Reader X? It keeps telling me about runtime errors or trying to close the program in an unusual way or "There is a problem with Adobe/Acrobat Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again (0:104)". I either can't open PDFs or they close seconds after opening.

Disabling Protected Mode means giving up one layer of protection. Your main protection is still an up-to-date antivirus software.
But there is another thing that can cause similar symptoms; if you are on Windows, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, run Eula.exe and click the Accept button. Does that error still happen after this? If so, try disabling Protected Mode.

Runtime error; terminate in unusal way

every time i open itunes, it opens, than a sec later an error message comes up saying...runtime error! This application has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusal way...i've seen other posts about runtime errors..but none that say this..and in those posts it seems quicktime does not open either..but my quicktime opens fine..what's going on?????

I am experiencing the exact same problem and error messages. This started on March 26th, everything was fine until then.
I tried a solution prescribed in another thread which was: to rename the itunes pref files from the application folder and move them to desktop, and then relaunch itunes; did not work. I did launch itunes under the guest account on my computer, and it works fine. This is a remedy, but I would like to completely fix the problem.

Runtime error when executing ME2B/ME3B if condition recs 160

Dear all,
I have created a vendor rebate agreement and entered condition records for a vendor/material combination.
Since for this vendor there are 170 materials for which he provides rebate I have created 170 condition records.
When I am trying to change or display the rebate agreement by executing transaction codes ME2B and ME3B respectively the following run time error occurs (Runtime error when executing transaction codes ME2B/ME3B for condition recrds >160):
Runtime Errors: DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL
Except. CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
The error is in function module SELECT_TEXT at line 120 "select * from stxh client specified into table stxh_buffer".
When I debug or test/execute the function module SELECT_TEXT, I find that there are no relevant entries in table STXH for the vendor rebate agreements.
Please note that if the condition records of the rebate agreement are 160 and less then there is no problem.
I would appreciate if I could have your expert oppinion on what is causing this runtime error and if it is possible on how to resolve it.

Runtime Error C+++

I have recently updated to Adobe Reader X. When I try to print PDF.s from the web, I receive an error message about Runtime Error C+++ and it closes the window!

Moved to the Adobe Reader forum.
Try removing, running the cleaner tool, then re-installing.

What does the following runtime error mean (how can I fix the

LNAME
JBO-110: Cannot update Read only attribute.
I get this error when trying to update a row using
Infoswing-based components.
NOTE: The code worked a moment ago, but I must have messed
something up! Any ideas?

I'm not sure what went wrong. Is this repeatable? Were you the
only one accessing the database at that time?
FYI: You can assign different levels of locking for the
SessionInfo control (via the Inspector). You can have optimistic,
pessimistic or no locking at all.
