What to do when the Macbook is hot that you cannot work with it?

My four years old Mac book from the beginning was getting hot while in use.
I decided that was due to the period of time it was switch on.
However, I do not keep it on for more than four hours and I do also keep it still @ home, other than move it all over the place.
Unfortunately I cannot use it for any longer than two hours because of the heat which has become umberable and dangerous of get on fire at the point of that I cannot use it in the bedroom/bed.
I have also noticed that under the Mac, on the front left side it's not flat anymore but it looks like that the heat has created a kind of bubble surface. It seems to me that my Mac has a defect from the manufacturer or that is the way Apple program their product expire time... I cannot afford to buy another one!
Some of my friends have the same model for the same period of time and different problems!!! Time to change/spend?
I would much appreciated if anyone would be so kind and help me.
I have just started my online nurse studies but I haven't been able to do anything.

thats not a heat bubble, its swelling of your battery.
Lithium battery swelling, turn off your Mac DO NOT USE IT
Contact Apple for an appt. for a full diagnostic of your Macbook, and replacement of your Lithium pack battery
however you may be tempted to use/ etc. your macbook until then...,but in its current state do NOT use it.

I have a website that I am building. Transferring word docs to the site by copy/paste does not work with firefox.Why?

I am trying to complete my website data entry with fire fox since the security of internet explorer is questionable. I am having no success in transferring written or graphic documents from Fire Fox to my website.

I assume this is a sitebuilder tool. Could you mention which sitebuilder it is?
Is the problem that a paste button provided by the sitebuilder does nothing when you click it? This could be related to a Firefox security feature that bars sites from reading your Windows clipboard. Or it could just be broken. If it's a sitebuilder button, I could look into past threads for possible solutions/workarounds.
For pasting text, instead of using a button provided by the sitebuilder, can you use one of the Windows shortcuts?

* right-click > Paste
* Edit menu > Paste ''(if you use the classic menu bar)''
That might not work with images...
Finally, I will say that Internet Explorer 11 is a pretty solid product. If you need to use it for your website builder tool because it only works well in IE, I don't think you are taking a lot of security risk there. Just don't stray over to random sites you don't trust.

No, what you're experiencing is not normal.
Try booting whilst holding down the Shift key - this will allow you to boot into Safe Mode, disabling third-party kernel extensions, etc. Your Mac will be slow to boot and will operate sluggishly. That's normal. If you can get in using Safe Mode then you have some start-up item that doesn't play well with Mavericks.

What to do when the ssd "wears out"?

I recently bought a Macbook Pro with Retina Display, 256gb ssd, 8gb memory. However, after reading into the difference between hdd and ssd, I noticed that ssd's have a shorter lifespan because of each cell having a read/write limit. my question is what to do when the ssd "wears out" or dies? Is it impossible to fix or can I just buy another ssd? Thanks in advance.

has to always maintain suitable backups and duplicates, not just timemachine effects
but also complete bootable full system clones in external drives that don't use the
computer's port power to sustain or run them.
And also backup power supplies that filter grid power to limit damages from high and
low voltage, along with other effects of nature and man that can destroy electronics.
The backup scheme of over-redundancy is the answer to the problem of when product
failure can cost you not only a livelihood, but perhaps a few years of your life, too. And
not everyone can use the Cloud backup, some ISPs are incapable of troublefree file
handling and a local backup is a better use of your time if something happens.
SSDs wear out. Expect them to and be ready for that to happen. Mark your calendars!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Lets see if we can get your Mac to start up again. Start with article below and go through different boot options like Safe Mode and starting up in Recovery Disk to test the hard drive. Let me know if this works for you or if you are still stuck.
