What to do whit SAP Tables??

Hi
I'm using owb 10.2. patch p5696353_10202_WINNT
on an Oracle 10.1.0.1
to extract some SAP 6.40 tables on a AS400 installation.
I reached after a long guerrilla to see the sap repository and i imported some tables.
but when i try to use those tables in a mapping it gives me error saying position for Sap Table is not correct.
What i have to do before using the table?
I didn't obtain the script generated by the config menu cause the validation of the mapping is not successfully.
Error Code given is - 1134.
Thanks
Roberto

I have the same problem. No explanation. what bugware this is. I cannot shut down iCloud because it threatens: if you stop using icloud for calendars, calendars stored in icloud  will be deleted from this Mac.

We can't say yes or No, so based on your requirement you need to sit with Functional COnsultanst and the understand the Business Requirements and develop the OBjetcs.

  • What SAP Table contains the info that a screen fields is hidden

What SAP table contain screen painter information. Specifically what table contain the logic that a Infotype screen field is vivisable / hidden from the online user. I have been looking in SM51 and cannot track down the table used for this purpose...

    Hi Ryan,
Please post this question in ABAP forum.

  • What SAP table houses the Material Classification values?

I cannot for the life of me figure out what SAP table actually stores the material classification characteristic values. These are the related tables I have found so far but none of them link the information to a material number:
    TABLE: CABN
    ATINN (characteristic ID)
    ATNAM (characteristic name code)
    MSEHI (UoM associated with characteristic)
    TABLE: CABNT
    ATINN (characteristic ID)
    ATBEZ (characteristic full name)
    TABLE: KLAH
    KLART (class type)
    CLASS (class name code)
    CLINT (class id)
    TABLE: KLAT
    CLINT (class id)
    TXTBZ (class full name)
    TABLE: KSML
    CLINT (class id)
    IMERK (characteristic id)
POSNR (characteristic positional location for class)
    TABLE: CAWN
    ATINN (internal char.)
    ATZHL (int counter)
    ATWRT (char. value)
    TABLE: CAWNT
    ATINN (internal char.)
    ATZHL (int counter)
    ATWTB (description)
I have also identified these structures, but I am no good at finding where values from a structure actually reside.
STRUCT: RMCBC "I/O field for include screens from classification"
contains MATNR, KLART, CLASS, KLTXT, ATWRT
STRUCT: RMCLF "Classification I/O structure for Assgmt of Object to Class"
    contains KLART, CLASS, KLTXT
Can anyone please help me and advise where the actual relationship between material number and classification information is? I'm trying to import this information from MDM to R/3 but I have no idea what to map it to or what Idoc segment to use.
    Thanks!

Have a go with below table joint in SQVI or SQ01:
KSSK (Allocation Table: Object to Class), joint together with KLAH (Class Header Data).
    Link will be field CLINT.
    Choose the below from KSSK:
Key of object to be classified - KSSK-OBJEK: you will enter the material number here. Watch out - you have to add 10 leading zeros before your material number, eg. number 40524281 will be altered to 000000000040524281.
Class Type - KSSK-KLART: here you can specify the class type which is 001 for material master.
    Choose the below from KLAH:
Class number - KLAH-CLASS: this field will return the class number you assigned to your material in Classification view.

  • What SAP table keep data delivery address in PO document ?

    Hello everyone,
    in ME23N display PO document.
i want to know SAP table that keep data in tab Delivery address such as Street/House number , Postal code/City
    please help.

the delivery address in PO item is
    - the storage location address  in case the storage location is maintained in PO item AND if storage location has an address maintained in cusotmizing.
    - the plant address if no storage location is provided
in both cases SAP knows the address number from reading the customizing, and does not need to store the number in PO item.
    - you entered a delivery  address manually in PO item. In this case an address number is stored directly in EKPO.

    Hi Paluri
Here is the difference between SAP locks and Database locks, i will try to find the solution to your code.
    Regards
    Ashish
Database Locks: The database system automatically sets database locks when it receives change statements (INSERT, UPDATE, MODIFY, DELETE) from a program. Database locks are physical locks on the database entries affected by these statements. You can only set a lock for an existing database entry, since the lock mechanism uses a lock flag in the entry. These flags are automatically deleted in each database commit. This means that database locks can never be set for longer than a single database LUW; in other words, a single dialog step in an R/3 application program.
Physical locks in the database system are therefore insufficient for the requirements of an R/3 transaction. Locks in the R/3 System must remain set for the duration of a whole SAP LUW, that is, over several dialog steps. They must also be capable of being handled by different work processes and even different application servers. Consequently, each lock must apply on all servers in that R/3 System.
    SAP Locks:
To complement the SAP LUW concept, in which bundled database changes are made in a single database LUW, the R/3 System also contains a lock mechanism, fully independent of database locks, that allows you to set a lock that spans several dialog steps. These locks are known as SAP locks.
The SAP lock concept is based on lock objects. Lock objects allow you to set an SAP lock for an entire application object. An application object consists of one or more entries in a database table, or entries from more than one database table that are linked using foreign key relationships.
Before you can set an SAP lock in an ABAP program, you must first create a lock object in the ABAP Dictionary.

  • Finding changes in SAP tables

    Hi,
I have problem with SAP - Cognos interface. It functions like an ABAP program that generates a file from spec. fields of some SAP tables like BKPF, BSEG, BSID, BSIK, etc. And this is all OK, but problem is that report always selects ALL data, and in FI case(those table that I mentioned) this is complicated. For example one item is in some period open item, and in few days it will go to closed items. As COGNOS interface runs once in a Month or something like that, it is problem how to select proper data, because of huge amount FI data.
Any Idea how to select only changes at table level? This must be also applicable to MM, SD and CO data. I thought of CHANGE DOCUMENTS, but what if change is not traced in CDHDR table because some data element is used in SAP table is not check to be observed as Change Document?

    Mario,
For the changes, when ever there is a change done in the system a change number is created which will be available in table CDHDR, based on the Object classes extract the data and the required dates of changes made pull out the data.
In case for AP, AR, G/L you can check with some tables ( there are some tables which will be only be updated based in the process AP/AR/GL ). Based on the list of these tables, extract data from table CDPOS  using the Change Number obtained from CDHDR.

  • Relationship between unknown SAP-TABLES

    Hi Folks,
Lets take a scenario of populating an ouput internal table with fields from 4 unknown sap tables(relation between the tables is unknown). How can we check the relationship between those tables to populate the internal table..? What are the possible ways to check the relationship between tables..?
Can u please help me on this.
    Thanks n regards,
    ram.

    Hi <b>Ram</b>,
I tried the following method to find relation between tables and i think it is quite useful. I hope this will be of some use to you.
->   Goto SE11 and display one of the tables.
->   Click on the <b>Graphic</b> icon on the toolbar or use shortcut ctrlshiftF11
->   It displays all the related tables by foreign key and even gives you all check tables involved. If the list is a long one, you can even use <u>Find</u> option to check if the other tables you are trying to find relation with, exist in the screen.
Hope this Helps!! Do get back!!

  • What is the new sap note for Ptax slabs of FY 2011-12.

    Dear Experts,
we are currently using  ECC  6.0, release 604, patch level 0035 and support package SAPKE60435. professional tax slabs not updated in table V_T7INP4.
what is the new sap note for Ptax slabs of FY 2011-12.

    Hi,
The Profession Tax tables T7INP3 & T7INP4 are customizing tables in which the entries are to be modified. SAP provides the initial entries and, if there is any change in slab rates, then you would need to update these slabs manually.
Please delimit the slab code in table T7INP3 and then create a new slab code entry from the date of delimition for the new rates in table T7INP4.

  • Issues in exporting data from SAP tables in SE16 to excel

1.How can I save an sap table (displayed through SE16) in ECC6 into a pivot table in excel. [ I have seen this option in R/3 4.7, but do not see it in ECC.]
2.How can I copy all the rows of a 3000 row SAP table in SE16 and paste the values into excel. I need to do this in one shot and not page by page.
3.What option do I need to select inorder to preserve the formating of the values while saving as a local file in a spreadsheet format. All the values with leading zeros, like company codes gets saved with only their numeric portion when I save a SAP table as a local file. for eg company code 0001 gets saved in excel as just 1,company code 0056 gets saved as 56 etc. How do I prevent this? What option do I need to set in SAP in order for the values to be downloaded as is, without any truncation of leading zeros.

    1.  I don't know.  How about creating a pivot after exporting data
    2. System->List->Save->local file->clipboard
Then paste whole lot in Excel
    3. This is a problem with Excel, not SAP.  SAP exports with leading zeroes.
You could export as flat file & import into Excel into a spreadsheet with an appropriate numbering format.

  • Creating a new Search Help on a standard SAP table field?

    Good day, everyone!
As part of a report I am writing, the customer would like to have Search Help added to the AUFEX field in table AUFK.  They would like this functionality so that when they are changing an order via t-code ko02, they can get a list of valid values to put in field AUFEX.  I would like to tie it to a zTable I've created; in my zTable, I have just 2 fields:  a key value (that will go into AUFEX) and a text description of the key value.  This zTable is used in my report.
While I've created a Search Help on this table already for table maintenance, I've never added a custom Search Help to an existing standard SAP table field before.  I've done some Googling and other searching to see what I need to know, but I've only been able to find information on Collective Search Helps.  AUFEX doesn't yet have a Search Help field, so I don't think Collective Search Helps is my answer.
Is this possible?  Can I add a custom Search Help to a standard SAP table field that doesn't have any Search Help linked to it yet?  Is there an existing thread or guide somewhere that can tell me how to do this?
    Thank you!

    Hi
Yes u can: u can assign the search help to (A) data element livel or (B) field table livel.
    After creating your search help:
    A) Run SE11, insert your data element (AUFEX), press edit and insert the search help in "Search Help" area on DEFINATION tab;
    B) Run SE11, insert your table (AUFK), press edit, place the cursor on your field (AUFEX) and go to GoTo->Search help->for field
But u should consider it'll mean to change a standard object for both cases: so u need to get the access key from your OSS.

  • Loading records from .csv file to SAP table via SAP Program

    Hi,
I have a .csv file with 132,869 records and I am trying to load it to an SAP table with a customized SAP program.
After executing the program, only 99,999 records are being loaded into the table.
Is there some setting to define how many records can be loaded into a table? Or what else could be the problem?
    Pls advice.
    Thanks!!!

    hi Arun ,
A datasource need a extract structure to fetch data .It is nothing but a temp table to hold data.
First you need to create atable in SE11 with fields coming from CSV file.
Then you need to write a report program to read you CSV file and populate your table in BW .
Then you can create a datasource on top of this table .
After that replicate and load data at PSA and use to upper flow.

  • What are the functions of tables in ods

    Hi,
what are the functions of tables in ods.
    new data table
    change log table
    active data table.
How 0recordmode work with these 3 tables.
and how sid will work with ods?
    can anyone give detailed explanation.
please do not give sap help links.
    Thanks,
    madhu
    Thanks

    Hi,
new table holds the "new" loaded data in ODS. If you start a new request to load data in your ODS, it firstgoes to table new data. Then you normally activate data either manually or by process chain. Then the daa will be copied over from new to active table. The change log table holds the delta information, what will change during activation or which records will be overwritten with new data or which data is new at all.
With recordmode you can specify which update mode will be used or more excalty which delta mode will be used. SID is necessary for master data, because ODS will only hold the SID values of the used characteristivcs and not the characteristic values itselfs. It's part of normalization used in BI.
For more details I recommend to look here in SDN, go to a class or read help.sap.com pages.

  • Using an on update or insert trigger on a SAP table

    Hi all,
A question for you regarding using a database trigger in and SAP system.
We are needing to export data for our datawarehouse.  Currently we export all the data.  That data is getting quite large tho and time is becoming an issue.
One suggestion has been to add a custome field to an existing SAP table to hold a flag to indicate the record has changed but not been extracted.  Thenput a trigger on the table in question so that the new field is updated upon update or insert of the record.  Then when the extract runs, it will only extract those records with the flag set, then reset the flag.
we are using ERP 6 and SQL Server 2005 (or soon to as we will be upgrading next month).
Any suggestions regarding triggers?  Or other options for flagging changed records in large table so we don't have to extract all records every time?
    Thanks
    Laurie
Edited by: Laurie McGinley on Oct 27, 2008 10:51 PM

    Hi Laurie,
just really shouldn't consider to put triggers into your application.
The problem here is the very nature of triggers to do things 'in the background'.
If you have problems due to the trigger, you won't see it anywhere in the SAP environment.
In a while you probably forget about the trigger at all and then nobody can see, what is happening to the database, just because something is changed "in the background".
Besides that you don't get support for this from SAP, you will make your life a lot harder.
Tabledefinitions may change - your trigger might break.
Put application logic where it belongs - to the application layer!
    regards,
    Lars

  • Reading TXT file to SAP table.

    Hi everyone,
my task is to read data from chosen text file into table I created.
    Text file look like this:
    ID_ASK|DATA_OD|DATA_DO|
    1234|20140517|20140824|
    ID_MAG|ID_ASO|ID_KAT_ASO|SOURCE|NAME|
    12|23|34|600156|TEST NAME1|
    ID_MAG|ID_ASO|ID_KAT_ASO|SOURCE|NAME|
    23|24|54|600156|TEST_NUMR2|
Header "ID_ASK|DATA_OD|DATA_DO|" occurs only once, while header "ID_MAG|ID_ASO|ID_KAT_ASO|SOURCE|NAME|" can occur many times.
I want to insert those values (except of headers, of course) into my SAP table:
    Table Fields
    Fields from file
    ZIDASK
    ID_ASK
    ZIDMAG
    ID_MAG
    ZIDASO
    ID_ASO
    ZIDKAT
    ID_KAT_ASO
    ZZRCEL
    SOURCE
    ZDAOD
    DATA_OD
    ZDADO
    DATA_DO
    ZKATNAM
    NAME
I want user to choose file from browser and I am using F4_FILENAME function.
    1. To avoid reading header into table I think I'll use something like this (in loop, of course):
        IF (lv_linecounter MOD 2) = 1.
              CONTINUE.
        ELSE.
SPLIT something AT '|' INTO those_fields.
    2. What should be next function to call?
    3. Is declaring separate types for those two headers a good idea?
    TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_output_hdr,
       id_ask type zask-zidask,
       data_od TYPE zask-zdaod,
       data_do TYPE zask-zdado,
    END OF ty_output_hdr.
    TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_output_pos,
       id_mag TYPE zask-zidmag,
       id_aso TYPE zask-zidaso,
       id_kat_aso TYPE zask-zidkat,
       source TYPE zask-zzrcel,
       name TYPE zask-zkatnam,
    END OF ty_output_pos.
    With kind regards,
    Bartlomiej

    Hello Bartlomiej,
His logic for processing (item 1) is correct and you can do the processing in this way without any problems.
Regarding item 2, after the process of SPLIT, you can assign information to a structure and then insert the contents in the table individually.
    SPLIT gs_line
        AT '|'
      INTO gv_fieldA
          gv_fieldB
          gv_fieldC.
    gs_data-fieldA = gv_fieldA.
    gs_data-fieldB = gv_fieldB.
    gs_data-FieldC = gv_fieldC.
    INSERT FROM ZTABLE gs_data.
Regarding item 3, a separate statement, however it manages more lines, is the best method that can be applied, allowing a subsequent maintenance will not affect other component.
Regarding F4_FILENAME object, you can use it on AT SELECTION-SCREEN event of report:
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR p_file.
      CALL FUNCTION 'F4_FILENAME'
        EXPORTING
          program_name = syst-cprog
          dynpro_number = syst-dynnr
          field_name = '
        IMPORTING
          file_name = p_file.
