What to do with current iPhone when preordering new iPhone?
I currently have the iPhone 5 using Verizon, I looking forward to preordering the iPhone 5S as soon as it's available for preorder but what are the necessary steps for this? Idk if you guys know what I mean but basically I'm asking what to do. Do I sell my current iPhone, the preorder the 5S and just wait without a phone until I receive it? Or do I keep my current iPhone while preodering then when it comes in, sell my current iPhone, then activate the 5S?

Keep in mind, only Apple knows when the iPhone 5S will be available. Definitely hang on to your existing iPhone.

Is this a new iPhone?
If so, when connecting a new iPhone to iTunes for the first time that has been used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the new iPhone, or set up the new iPhone as a new iPhone.
If you don't want to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device, select set up as a new iPhone. No existing data or settings will be erased or changed when selecting as a new iPhone. Not that difficult or difficult at all. -
I have just subscribed to itunes match. But now my ipad/iphone memory is full because every songs played from icloud is downloaded in the devise. If I clean the memory from setting/storage/music I cannot play any more the songs already played even if they are still in the music library. I need help please.

You can delete any unwanted tunes you have downloaded from iTunes match by swiping them and tapping the delete button on your device. You can also delete this way to delete whole albums or artists. -

No trade-in. I just sell mine [on ebay] a few weeks before the newer version comes out, or right after. they go for quite a bit if they are in nice condition. -
does anybody know what is wrong with the ipod when error 1437 is reportedduring the restore cycle?
Double check the connections on each end to make sure they are nice and snug. If possible, plug the Nano into another existing USB 2.0 port.
Also, with the iPod still connected, try resetting it. To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons (or the Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons on the 6G Nano) long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Then try restoring the iPod again.

If i order it on The first day of pre orders will i get it on the same day as the release in stores? I'm on an unlimited data plan with AT&T. Because the new iPhone will most likely have 4 g data will I loose the unlimited plan?

No. When you restored the backup of the old computer it wiped out everything on the phone.

While updating my iphone 4s to ios6, I had to restore it. Now every time I connect to itunes, I get the "Set Up Your iPhone" window with the set up as new iphone and restore from backup options. After the restore, I got everything except my apps and music back. Do I need to set the phone up as new again?

I'm trying to restore from backup of IPhone 4 onto New IPhone 5 in iTunes but getting message:
"ITunes could not restore the iPhone "iPhone" because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored".
I've repeated the backup of my old phone but I'm still getting the same message.
Any ideas please?
GerI just spent 3 hrs with AT&T tech support. No visual voicmail! i wiped phone 3 times, reset. everything no visual voicemail.
I can access it through dialing holding down 1 then enter password, bu t Visual voicemail is DEAD. ATT says apple has major bug and fix won't be out until OCT 5th.
If you Google it it lights up like a cristmas tree! Verizon is also inodated.
1. Fake Map app usless Apple is fixing it though
2. Batt is a joke, last like 2 hrs
3. No visual voicemail
4. Face time on ATT no longer works on cellular data per apple design.
We need Steve Jobs!! he would have fired somebody for all these mistakes.
Nopw i am locked into crashing my car because i have to type in numbers to here voicemails.
Come on Apple send us a rebate or a Iphone 5 that meets the specs stated on the box and advertisments.!!
